This is not the place to go if your In a hurry, plan to have a beer and stay a little while otherwise you might get frustrated with the wait time but the idea here is to take the time to cut your hair right, and that is by design. Great place for a quick and top-notch cut. It's pricier at $21 but the fades are great and there's hardly anybody ever waiting. Usually ther's 3 barbers on staff and they're good at keeping things moving. I've gotten fades from 4 different barbers here and I'd revisit any one of them. Also, no kids under 12. read more

What a horrible place to get a haircut. First off they are extremely overpriced. I went in and seen the price for a haircut was $21 dollars, but after my haircut I found out an extra $5 bucks was added because they gave me a part with pair of cutting scissors, not even a razor blade. I asked the guy if he could put some gel in my hair and proceeded to tell me, "I can buy some for ten dollars". I'm sorry but you can get a better haircut for cheaper somewhere else. Excellent place to come for a quick cut and pickup some pomade! I am always in a rush and this barbershop has not failed me yet. Only thing is that its 'Cash Only' which means I either hit the bank before or forget and cross the street to the liquor store (ATM fee $2.Something). Used to be $15 and paid $20 recently but still better than what I used to pay elsewhere. I'll definitely be back. read more

Tiptop barbers are the business. Stopped by mid day on a Thursday and got great cut by my man Robert. Kevin cut up my bro's hair and also gave a great fade. The barbers made the atmosphere mesh well with the services they offer and the way the shop is set up. best barbers ive been to hands down and I tried everywhere in OC and La Mirada and Whittier. Have been looking for a new place for a while and came across this barber shop via instagram. Great choice. I love the environment. .ive only been to the uptown location, but my friend has gone to both shops and we love either location. The staff is great the atmosphere is perfect. I love the all the tatt designs and the whole feel of a old school barber shop. At the uptown location both josh and the other gentleman that's always there have done my hair and been 100% satisfied. I stopped in earlier in the week to check this place out. As soon as I walked in I received a friendly greeting by the two barbers who where cutting hair. They offered me a free a beverage took a seat on the comfortable couch and waited my turn. I had a few minutes to check out the 50's decor while I waited, this place is really well done and super clean unlike the typical barber shop. Lots of cool artwork on the walls done by the owner of the shop. I only waited about five minutes and received a great haircut for a very reasonable price the barber also took the time to straight razor my neck line and my side burns.He did a quick styling. The cut was Tip Top for sure! These guys took customer service to the next level something most places have forgotten about along time ago I hope this guys do well because they actually seem to take pride in what they do. read more

This shop is really great. Really welcoming vibe , cool decor, and its really clean! (even the bathroom!) Stopped in with my Fiance to get him a haircut. I have got to say it can sometimes be bit intimidating for a lady to go into a "mans shop" but I was greeted politely and felt very comfortable. My fiance usually has a hard time getting a good haircut, and he has been trying a different place every time to find a good haircut, this is the place! Robert did an excellent job, did exactly what was asked for. He also finished off the cut with a neck shave using a straight razor. Had a decent cut not bad not great. I don't get anything fancy. I would rather have an amazing haircut in someone's garage than a mediocre cut inside a mansion. Being a Skilled barber is about mastering the cut not mastering the image of being one. Too much of a scene here. Probably won't return. read more

I've never had a different haircut for four years, then I decided that I needed to change. Top Top knew what I wanted, even though I have NO idea about anything that has to do with getting a haircut (eg. tapper, fade, 1,2,3 etc.) I have no idea about any of those. I just asked for one of the classic contours and I got what I was looking for. I guess I'm going to be a new regular at Tip Top. The service is great, the place is small but friendly. Free drinks! haircut for $16, but worth it and it really makes you want to tip them the extra $4 if you're giving a twenty. cause its worth it. Nov.2016... By all a means try to avoid the guy next to the window with glasses and tattoos, supposedly he's the manager .3/4 times he's fucked up my hair. The second and third time I combed my hair to the back but he always left one side round and the other chopped. After avoiding him for months i decided to give him a shot and he's was the only one available next. I asked for a frohawk not to drastic and this guy made me look like Mr. T. I had to shave it bc it was to embarrassing and had to download the App to make this review. Yes it was that bad. I wouldn't mind looking like Mr T but his haircuts are never symmetrical. Now I'll be spending the holidays under a sombrero. I'll now be going else where. 2 year customer just lost. read more

The guy that's in the middle chair on Sundays, total rip off, charged me 21 dollars for a hair cut- what a thief....other guys charge 12 dollars and do a much better cut... Overall the service is good but I don't know about the whole disinfecting of their clippers or their razors I was diagnosed with acne keloidalis after going to this barbershop I have developed small pimple bumps in neck area due to un sanitized clippers or razors so don't go that's my best bet save dermatologist visits read more

Mario hooked my hair up after I went to a shitty barber shop in eagle rock. That's what I get for not stickin with tip top.

Stopped in today to get a cut. Haven't had someone cut my hair in nearly 15 years as I normally just buzz it myself. Robert did an awesome job told him what I wanted and he hooked it up. They do it all from cleanups to straight razor shaves. They even sell their own pomade for 10 bux. I think I just found my new barber will definitely be back. read more
