I knew it was time to bring in a professional if we were gonna make this work. We brought Pam on just in time , I was so close to giving up. I was exhausted. So many tears. First meeting , she gave me hope. The hope that I needed to go on caring for Charlie. This is a very fragile case and she knew how slowly we have to work so we don't incur any setbacks. And we are getting there , slowly removing each layer of his fear , helping him realize that he can trust us. That he can enjoy this new life. I know that part of it is Pam's knowledge, her expertise. But it's also her heart. I truly believe that she was born with a gift. I highly recommend Pam , she has helped turn things around in our home with our 5 dogs in only a matter of 3 visits so far. I explained to her that there were a few areas that he and I could use some help in, and we got the ball rolling. Brent showed up on the day of pickup and walked me through the process of what to expect during the time he would be training Kona and what kind of updates I would get. I got daily pictures and updates on his status. All I can say is wow, when Kona came back, he was a different dog. Brent spent about 2.5 hours with my family explaining how to integrate the training he used into our lives and how to use the tools he provided us with to make sure Kona succeeds. I think he trains the owners more than the dogs (lol). After we went through his training it was time to put it to use, he had my wife, and I walk Kona, and he gave us tips on how to correct behavior and relax and enjoy the walk. Thank you to Brent and his staff for helping us help Kona be a successful rescue and a huge part of our family.

Our dog went through professional behavioral training through another company years ago. He had a solid baseline for learning and commands (sit, heal, place, etc.). Our primary issue was our dog's reactivity. We needed more help on how we as owners could manage this better. We decided to go with Ridgeside K-9 based on their stellar reviews and 4 week behavior modification board and train. Brent picked our dog up and was very thorough on what the plan was. We received a picture/video just about every evening with minimal communication attached. We were trusting their process. During the turn over, everything went well. We did notice our dog had lost a good amount of weight. He was never over weight by any means, but now we can really feel his ribs, spine, and hip bones. Nothing unhealthy though. We also noticed his bark was very different, and we figured it was due to him barking in the kennel during the turn over. Just over a week went by, and our dog's bark was still extremely weak. That coupled with our dog's weight loss had us a little uneasy. When confronting Brent over a phone call out of concern for our dog he became extremely defensive. He heatedly said our dog about drove him insane for 2 weeks due to his barking (which he never thought to mention previously), and then asked if we see a difference in him considering the training. I said not significantly. As mentioned, we've worked our dog for years, and the technique Brent taught us regarding our dog's reactivity is new to us. It had been just over a week and we were still learning to manage and get the results we need. However, before I could elaborate on any of this Brent completely flew off the handle. He was literally YELLING at me over the phone, saying I don't know what I'm talking about, we are the problem, and that I am a person who worries too much. I simply wanted to talk to him out of concern for my dog, and I felt like that meant nothing to him. My husband intervened on the phone due to Brent's disrespect toward me and it only got worse from there. We didn't get a hint of this instability throughout our prior interactions with Brent, and this left both of us completely in shock. Once things cooled down, Brent went back into a mode of wanting to help. Although this was appreciated, the damage was done. Brent has a lot of passion and pride in his work, but his temper concerns us greatly. It was like a switch, and there was ABSOLUTELY no excuse for that level of disrespect towards us.

Bear our 2-year-old grandchild puppy, went on an evening walk with his brother and came back wrapped in a blanket! 9 pm August 9 Downtown Tampa our canine walker from Pets plus LLC service who we hired when @ work or play took both dogs from the 21 floor of our apartment building to the bustling street below . Security cameras captured the beginning of the walk with both dogs entering the elevator. Both dogs were clearly harnessed & leashed. Exiting the elevator the cameras showed that both dogs were clearly excited to be walked . Again for the record both were collared and leashed. Mobile call at 9 pm a friend, "something has happened to Little Bear he is dead" The dog walker said that Little Bear had slipped out of his leash and was struck by a car in the road outside of Skypoint!! HARD FACTS Little bears emotional dog vest size xx small, animal leash and collar had all been professionally fitted 2 weeks earlier in Hyde Park his zip line was secure, the week prior little bear was hiking in the Midwest. Pets plus did have their insurance agent contact us regarding a settlement. Blood money no way not interested not a fix . Not to belabor this review I caution all dog owners not to be the next in line with pets plus LLC. History has a way of repeating itself. The dog attacked his puppy and luckily he was there to save his life after a bloody wrestling match. As well as the fact that Rick, the owner has not followed up with me after I told him I was at the vet and my dog was dying which baffles my mind. I brought my 9 month old puppy here to get trained on his behavior as we were having a baby and needed some help. We dropped our dog off on a Tuesday Morning. He was in a healthy state and had went to the vet 3 week prior to get his shots and flea medicine. We were told he was a healthy pup ( we knew there may be some neurological issues). On Wednesday after we dropped him off at training, we reached out asking for an update and got NO RESPONSE. On Thursday, we reached back out and got a response a few hours later advising that our dog is not doing good in training and we need to pick him up Friday, but they will call Friday morning to discuss further. We get a phone call Friday URGENTLY advising us that we need to pick up our dog ASAP as his health is going down hill and we may need to take him to the vet. I arrived to the faculty around 11am on Friday, my dog was soaking wet and had peed and pooped on himself. The facility response to him being in this state, was "Im sorry, but this is the 3rd or 4th time your dog has pooped himself we cant keep cleaning him and drying him off we have other dogs to deal with." When I spend $3,000 for a week of training I expect my dog to be handled with nothing but care and love. Instead, I got a tired group of people who only wanted to deal with "easy" dogs. So then I had to put a wet and pooped covered dog in my car. (Rick the owner acknowledged this was not good and he would talk to the his team.) On my way home, the dog pooped straight blood all over the place. We took him to the ER that Friday afternoon, where I was informed he had a temperature of 94 degrees. The vet was very concerned the way that this training facility had handled our dog. He had to stay at the vet overnight. After 1 day, he finally had a normal poop and the vet found flowers and seeds in his poop. This 100% did not come from my house as I have an artificial turfed back yard that is fenced in and it had been since Tuesday that he was at the facility. Per Rick, the dog was supervised and never ate anything besides dog food which is obviously not true. I called Rick to inform him of our vet visit and told him my dog was in very rough shape. After a short conversation with him, I never heard back from RICK with any follow ups or concern for my dog. Our dog died 1 week later. Im not saying that this facility killed my dog, as now I believe our dog may have had underlying health issues before this, that we were unaware of. However, I am saying that this facility had a lack of care and love for my dog to the point that I find the way they cared for my pup insulting and disgusting. I would never bring a dog or recommend someone who loves their dog to come. I called Rick again and received his voicemail to which Rick never followed up with me on and never followed up to see how my dog was. Im sure Rick will find out once he responds to this review/message. Also, I ended up paying $500 for this experience. What I want to know is why no one followed up with a phone call on Wednesday or Thursday when I reached out? Why was I the one reaching out for updates? Also, Why did I finally get a call Friday when it was an emergency to pick up my dog and not beforehand? Why did I pick up a dog soaking wet covered in poop and freezing cold? Per the vet, if I would of left my dog at the facility and longer on Friday, he would of died of hypothermia. No facility that claims to take care of anyones pet should leave an animal in this state. You would think a prestigious training facility such as this, would have taken better care of our family pet.

I told him I have a walker and nothing is going to happen. And after letting him know I cannot walk in the side of a busy road I sarcastically said "can I go outside in the back???
