When I entered the salon with my dog she immediately started speaking negatively with no hope to try to help me. My dog was actually allowing her to pick him up despite her rude attitude and demeanor... all was well until she put her hand between his legs and tried to pick him up that way???? He then proceeded to show her that he was not okay with that. After that we got sent out as if it was my dog's fault. I understand safety is top priority and I would never push anything on anyone, but to have such a bad attitude toward me for no reason is just very unprofessional and unpleasant. I've been taking my dogs to pet smart for grooming for over a decade and not once have I ever encountered someone like this salon leader. You can tell she is just an unpleasant worker and doesn't have the love for dogs. Also if this helps emphasize my statement more, I have never written a review in my life. Some areas are still long and some are shaved down to the skins that caused a lot of skin irritation for my poor baby. I had to spend over $50 in products (skin soothing balm, oatmeal bath) after this grooming session just to soothe his skin so he could sleep and would stop scratching himself. His skis in so irritated that he is not even up for walks and stops to sit multiple times during his walks. DO NOT bring your dog to this groomer. I have a 9-month-old Alaskan Malamute who HAD a gorgeous reddish-brown top coat with a full plumed tail. Her hair WAS long and thick and that tail was luscious. After a rushed - less than 3 hours - grooming experience, I now have a mostly cream-colored puppy with a ratty tail. Her coat is choppily cut and uneven all over which is frustrating since I SPECIFICALLY stated that I did not want her hair cut. I also SPECIFICALLY asked whether the FURminator product - that is advertised as one of their principal tools for de-shedding, - would cut her hair. The groomer assigned didn't know; which was concerning. Another groomer adamantly stated it would ONLY remove the loose hair. Her top coat was not loose hair. Red Flags: 1. There were only small crates and small dogs at this location but the site allowed me to book my puppy's appointment there. 2. The wide eyes and glancing back and forth at each other when they saw how big she is. 3. The groomer was flustered when she saw her and admitted to having difficulty handling her. 4. The groomer was unavailable to release the dog to me leaving that task to the receptionist. 5. Being required to pay before I am allowed to see or pick up my puppy. If this location is not accustomed to/staffed to handle large [breed] dogs - with or without double coats - that should have been clearly articulated when I was checking in. After paying for a bath and finishing spritz, she still stinks. As a consumer, I don't mind paying for services that I can not/don't have the expertise to provide for myself. This is not one of those service and I will be grooming her myself from now on. Why pay someone to do something that I can actually do - and do better - myself? I'm not angry, just disgusted with the glaring lack of knowledge care, and pride in the work. If there's no actual understanding of how to properly groom different coat types, no care in the tools selected/utilized, and no concern for customer outcomes then this is not a service the company should be offering. This is the second time I've attempted to utilize Petco's grooming services and have been left disappointed and waiting for her coat to grow back. There won't be a third time.

When I went to check out, the item rang up full price. The associate Kassidy tried to help but couldn't adjust it, so she called the manager, Isaac. That's where things went completely downhill. Isaac walked up to the register already curt and dismissive. After showing him the clearly posted BOGO signage, he still refused to honor the sale, saying corporate ends promotions in the system 15 minutes before closing. The signs in the store did NOT reflect that, and his tone made it clear he had no interest in helping or even communicating respectfully. His mannerisms, professionalism, and overall attitude were unacceptable. The customers behind me even commented on how rude the interaction was. I ended up purchasing Fromm dog food as well, but I returned my entire purchase. After this experience, I wouldn't recommend this store to anyone. As a pet owner, I expect basic respect and accurate advertising. Our hard-earned money shouldn't be taken lightly, and this location clearly doesn't value its customers. Isaac should not be in a leadership role if this is how he treats people. This was enough to lose my business permanently.

My little guy was great during the wash. After I tried to take him around the store but he was being bratty. I had to clean a few of his messes. At that point I just brought him home instead of getting a treat. The service was great. They showed me how to use the tub and they had doggie soap for washing. They also supplied dry towels. They have a dryer, I've never tried one with my little guy so I didn't bother to use it. It made it much easier than washing him at home.
