Dave of TipTop Paving and Masonry talked me into repaving my driveway. Promised to come back and put sealant on in August and never showed up. Promised to come back and take away the debris he put in my compost and he never did that either. I had weeds growing through the asphalt within a month as well, although he told me this "commercial" grade asphalt would kill anything. Do not trust. read more

TIPTOP PAVING !!! DON'T HIRE THESE CLOWNS !!! ***THEY WILL RIP YOU OFF*** I wish I had checked google and yelp before I hired them. I never would have. They blacktopped our driveway June 1st but did a really poor job it wasn't graded properly and we have a number of low spots that have standing water when it rains, damaged our retaining wall and fence, and didn't finish the edges etc. After the job I talked to them at least 10 times to get them to come back and fix their screwups but they gave me excuses until they stopped returningmy phone calls. I talked to an attorney but they are way too expensive for me to afford, I'm sure TipTop depends on that. TipTop Paving should be forced out of business as soon as possible before anybody else gets burned. If anyone that was ripped off by Tip Top would like to help put them out of business, I would be willing to look for an attorney, but I can't afford it by myself. Terrible job. After almost 2 years and hunting them down on another job to come fix crap workmanship, i give up. They are crooked and theives. Stay far away from Tom and his son. Our drive has tons of dips in it. I hate the fact we even had it done. Winter is an icy nightmare from all the depressions left in it. Waste of money. I don't know why they have bad reviews. They have been honest and professional to me. They also did a great job on my driveway. They came in at a competitive estimate compared to other company's. I feel that some customers don't take in consideration that you can not drive on the driveway as soon as they leave. You have to at lease wait three days before driving on it and also stay away from the edges for a while so the edges can cure. No issues here. They also have done many of my neighbors driveways. No complaints. I would like to update my review since this scammer doesn't like to return my calls after I have mentioned to him I have cracks and dents in my driveway. I keep getting excuses about who they bought new machines and have been working on them all summer. There's alot more to the story. How can you run a business and then ignore your business. All of our driveways he claims have a 3 year warranty. Then he will tell you also if you have a different sealant put on it voids the warranty. But he won't stop by to seal or repair. We had them come out and pave our entire driveway. The owner is very nice and easy to work with. The crew happen to not complete some back fill work that we asked them to do and called the owner. Immediately they came back and finished the job. I appreciated their quick response. read more

absolute rip off !!!! shotty work, lied about material amounts obviosly have no idea on how to figure material , this was supposed to be a simple job remove old drivway down to dirt 6 inches was contract amount. didnt remove old driveway just graded the material that i had wich was bad ,,, and put in grindings they failed miseraby some areas dad as little as 1.5 inches some area had 3 !!! they destroyed 2 large branches on my oak wich could have been avoided , used my chainsaw from my garage used my wheelbarrow and my gas can wich they dumped my gas out in drivway and then put diesel fuel in can destroyed not usable!!! to top it all off entire thing was on video and the owner of co think his name was telmage or tom sons name was teddy both real pieces of work . and unfortunately i had to work came home early took them apx 4.5 hrs to compleate entire driveway should have taken longer . started to dig holes in drive way thats when i discovered that the had riped me off then i watched video and then i new for sure that they didnt do anything correct and the stold my rake !! so i an including my phone number for anyone who would like to join me going civil lawsuit 224-237-0276 i am pusuing legal action hope other people get involved put these gypsies out of busness . trust me i didnt say what wanted to say after you read this telmage or teddy just know i that ill see you in court!!!!! pics to be added siver lake wisconsin read more

This company is a complete fraud. Foolishly we gave a deposit of over $3,000 and they never came back. Ignored repeated phone messages. DO NOT use this company. They are scam artists. We filed a complaint with the BBB and they were unable to contact them. We will be filing a complaint with the attorney general's office and I have legal counsel working on this . UPDATE: 12 complaints on BBB, BBB is stating they cannot find the company to action the complaints After a morning of shoveling it reminds me of the horrible job they did. The Father and son, drive by acting like a family owned local business, working together to provide a great service. After providing a quote, and estimate, we agreed. Thinking great to support small LOCAL & Family run business. What a scam. Not only did they NOT do the full work estimated by not removing the part of the driveway request, they lied about the warranty, by the way, there is none, and grade of material. Regardless of the agreement we and the father signed. The sides of the driveway are not straight, we have their foot marks where they walked on it embedded forever, and where our car and truck drive over it we have indents and cracking already. The driveway was installed in August 2019. Not even worth mentioning the GRASS growing through the asphalt. Beware of their next scam: PAYMENT The father takes you aside, and states that he needs the cash to pay the crew, otherwise he cant pay them and could you pay cash or check. So he sends his son off to cash the check that day. They were at the bank while the crew was cleaning up. Once he has the money, they never return your call, and refuse to return your call. So much for the signed agreement. I will keep posting to ensure others who try to support local or family owned steer clear of this family and crew. I am also filing a complaint with the BBR. We have contacted them several times and each time they promised to come back, but it has been 2 years and they have never shown up on the dates promised. Our asphalt driveway was in bad shape. Tom came to our house (McHenry County) offering a quote and we accepted. He did not ask for a deposit. The job was completed the very next day (10/15/18). We are satisfied with the job Tom and his crew completed. We were also offered the free sealing to be completed next year (2019). read more

First off they are not even a real company. We paid them in full for the job and then they never showed back up. My wife and I had to get cops involved to get get our money back or get them back out to finish our driveway. They didn't return phone calls for 3 weeks and after cops caught up with the supposed owner-he called immediately. Even then they didn't do the work they promised-pitch of the drive goes where we asked repeatedly not to go, left soda bottles on property, left a small pile of blacktop just off new drive, and owner didn't show back up the next day like he promised. If you hire them make sure you get everything in writing!! We finally got a driveway and without our signed contract we could've been out nearly 4 grand cash. Local police of our town and the police of the town this so called business resides in were amazing. I don't like to bad mouth anyone but this is shamefully for anyone conducting business in this manner. To many other homeowners have been burned by this guy to just sit back and say nothing. read more
