I live in the city and ride my bike to work. I had my car parked on a street around the corner from my place and don't use it frequently so did not see the no parking signs they put up (with the dates for no parking written in sharpie) as I had no reason to walk down this street to look at the signs I didn't know existed. On the morning they were beginning their project, I passed their crew walking to brunch and said hi, then I went to my car to get a return out of it that I was going to make that day. None of them said anything to me about me needing to move my car and they had a perfect opportunity to speak with me. I then went to brunch and came back an hour and a half later to find my car gone. The crew was still there. I asked if they saw anything happen to my car that was parked there (I thought maybe it was stolen). They said it was towed for being illegally parked. I explained the situation. They told me they knocked on doors trying to find people to move it. I said I walked by about an hour ago and you saw me grab something out of it and you all just watched!!! I spoke with the manager of the project and then that person's manager. I asked that they pay the fee for the tow. They argued with me saying there were signs up and that people in the community should have known there was construction to be done. I explained that my car had been there for a couple days and they ignored my circumstances and continued to argue with me. There was no sign saying what towing company was notified. I had no idea where my car was. I called all of the towing companies in Atlanta finally to find my car. I then had to go to the tax commissioners office to get a copy of my registration because it was in the vehicle, then to the police department to get an authorization for release since the registration was in my dads name, then to the towing company. Nothing went smoothly all day, every step was a fight but I am by far most DISAPPOINTED in the conduct and morale of this company. It is disappointing to see people operate the way they acted in this situation. I still would have spent my whole day trying to get my car, but they could have made it right by reimbursing me the cost for the tow. This company is AWFUL to work with, their employees literally do not give a SHIT and I am fairly certain they get a kickback from the towing companies or the city of Atlanta. I highly recommend going with a company that operates with higher standards of conduct. Everyone I interacted with in this company on that day was a NIGHTMARE to deal with and I wish for your sake that you do not subject yourself to this.
