He and Jay arrived as promised, communicated clearly, and confirmed the washing machine needed a sensor that would be ordered and replaced on Tuesday or Wednesday. While in my home, they noticed an alarm coming from my water filtration system. I explained that it was a UV light that needed replacement and that I already had the parts. They volunteered to do the work and assured me they had experience with it. Unfortunately, they did not know how to properly perform the repair and broke the glass sleeve inside the unit and damaged the pressure cap. At that point, the work had to stop and the water was shut off to avoid contamination. Mistakes can happen, and that alone is not why I'm leaving this review. The problem is what happened afterward. Lewis promised he would return on Wednesday to complete the washing machine repair. Tuesday passed with no communication. I called, texted, and left messages on Tuesday and again on Wednesday. None were returned. He never showed up, never followed up, and never explained. I was completely ignored. Because of this lack of communication and accountability, I had to hire a licensed plumber at my own expense to correct the damage. I have text messages, Ring camera footage, and video documentation confirming they were in my home and that the mistake occurred. I never demanded payment or compensation -- I simply expected the basic courtesy of communication and for the washing machine repair they promised to be completed. If something goes wrong in a customer's home, the professional response is to communicate -- not disappear. Unfortunately, that was my experience.

We had hoped to be able to lift the whole thing a few inches, but had no idea how. Enter Eliot from Applicare. He pondered the situation, consulted a printout of the manufacturer's docs, and discussed with us. The conclusion was that we could probably just eliminate the canopy and retain the key functionality of the hood. 90 minutes of hard work ensued, mostly by him, but ably assisted by my wife and (occasionally) me, and it was done! The charge was entirely reasonable, and we'd be happy to engage him again. And he's a character!
