A few months later our combo microwave/oven had shut off unexpectedly, and we felt confident calling them again for this since we purchased all of our appliances from the store, and they recommended them. They came out a few times between the week of Thanksgiving in November-December 2025. First it was an electrical board issue- which they rerouted so we can use the oven. We were told they needed to order a part, and they'd call us to schedule once they received the part. The part came in, but it was wrong and the job couldn't be completed. They needed to order a new part. That was in Feb/March... again they came out in April, and still couldn't complete the job because the part was not right. Well now it's almost July, we still don't have a working microwave. No calls. No communication. Kyle, the repair tech was professional, and timely. No complaints on the guys who came to do the work. The company is not charging us for the extra repairs, so of course this has fallen on deaf ears and we have not heard from them in months. We have had to purchase another microwave and put it on our kitchen island because it's been 7-8 months without resolution.

Each has given me some hints/tips related to the appliance they serviced. The women in the office unfortunately don't return calls promptly, and don't share pictures of the issues with the techs, even though they ask for pictures and serial numbers of the appliance to be serviced. That is frustrating and has happened on 2 separate occasions. 4 Stars instead of 5 because of my experience with the office staff. The techs - 5 / 5 stars. We paid C&E Appliance over $350 two months ago to fix our Frigidaire ice maker, and it has been an absolute nightmare ever since. They sent an incredibly unknowledgeable technician to our house, twice. Not only did he fail to fix the ice maker, but during his second visit, he completely shut off our freezer line or reset it incorrectly. Because of his incompetence, we woke up to find $300 worth of newly purchased groceries for our 4th of July party--including seafood, chicken, and ice cream, completely melted and ruined. When I called to report this, the service manager promised someone would come out that same day (Thursday, July 2nd) and explicitly stated he would "take care of" the cost of the ruined groceries. Nobody ever showed up, and nobody called back. When I called back on Monday to demand answers and get this rectified, the service manager's behavior was appalling. He was extremely rude, unprofessional, and dismissive. He literally told me, "If not having ice for the Fourth of July is your biggest problem, then you should consider yourself lucky," and then hung up on me. We are out $350 for a service that was never completed, out $300 in ruined groceries, and have been without ice for over two months. This business is incompetent, deceitful, and completely lacking in basic customer service. Avoid them at all costs. (We are from CT, my Google account is associated with San Francisco, CA).

I believe I discovered them over a year ago while driving through Newtown on the way to another event. They were closed at the time but I remembered the name on the sign. I was able to go back just last week. My only problem with the store is the hours- I'm not entirely sure when they're open but they were closed both times I passed by in 2018. However, just about everything else is great. This is a consignment shop filled with (traditionally men's) items such as tools, home decor, electronics, camping gear, etc. The prices are clearly marked. The prices are decent if you make sure you set your expectations correctly. I like yardsale prices, but when you have a store to run (with the requisite expenses and returns), the items have to be priced a bit higher. The staff (appears to be a married couple) are very nice and not at all pushy. In fact, I got a great deal at checkout on two items that I got for the price of one. The woman at the register was super sweet. The tools and other small items are meticulously organized and presented, and while there are lots of used items, everything looks clean and in good working order. There are some bigger items out front (generators, wood chipper, etc). I definitely had a good experience here and would come back if possible. Google says they are open Tuesday through Saturday, but I am not sure.
