As my wife and I were traveling through Winamac, I had a Winamac native recommend Tippy's. After some research, it looked like a can't miss pizza joint to try. Tippy's is located conveniently in downtown Winamac and off Hwy 35. The place is very roomy and modern. There are a lot of pizzas to choose from. My wife and I went with the Hawaiian Cardinal that has BBQ chicken, pineapple, ham, and a balsamic vinegar based BBQ sauce. The best part...a 12 inch was only about $16 for my wife and me. That's hard to beat! I'm from Alabama and sweet tea is hard to come by in Indiana. Tippy's had fresh-brewed sweet tea in the house. It wasn't my first rodeo so I asked the waitress if I could try it. I'm glad she let me sample it because the tea was closer to unsweet and tasted almost rurnt or ruined. So stay away from the sweet tea. Give Tippy's a try if you are going through Winamac for all the pizza choices. read more

I read all the reviews that say Tippy's Pizza is the best pizza place around, but I have to disagree. Last night we ordered Mr. Meat pizza with extra cheese. It was dry and didn't have extra cheese. They over cooked it and was hardly edible. I've had Tippy's pizza many times and it was always awesome but not this time. Haven't been to Tippys for over a year. We live out of town. Always a favorite of ours. But.... last night we were disappointed! Someone told us it had changed hands last year. Really sad. I'm giving it 5 stars because I was very impressed that this restaurant was so nice in such a small town. Beautifully decorated and very clean. I enjoyed the humorous menu. I got a 6 in veggie pizza and it was perfect size. My husband enjoyed a Hawaiian Cardinal. The staff was very friendly. These small towns seem to always have the same food everywhere so I enjoyed that this place took ownership of their image and menu. Will be back! read more

The pizza is delicious. It's a thin crust with about a million options to try. It's a kitschy joint with cute chalkboards with specials and a woodsy look. They have a nice selection of beers, domestic and craft (stone, 2 bros, goose island). Servers are super sweet and welcoming. This is a great place for families and friends. read more

Tippy's has some of the best pizza for the area. I gave them 3 stars out of 5 for the following reasons; they are only open for lunch on Fridays during the week and dinner Monday through Friday, there customer service is hit or miss, tables aren't always the cleanest, and sometimes the pizzas are hit or miss (pizzas with way to much crust and no toppings). Walked into Tippy's on a Friday afternoon around noon for lunch with my wife. We were greeted at the door and were told to sit anywhere. Once seated we are informed that all they are offering is their buffet which only has cheese and veggie pizza with breadsticks. The pizza was under heat lamps that were not doing very well at their job. The pizza was pretty much room temp and rubbery. My wife and I both had a beer with our lunch. Total cost $26. This place has THE BEST gluten free pizza! The crust is not rock hard like many, and their sauce is so tasty.

Our favorite is the oinkster pizza. We also love their wings, salads, and burgers. Great people, great place!
