I had no idea that you had to book appts. so far in advance around here. I just moved into the area so I was calling everyone in town and having no luck at all. I finally got a bite but it was in Lincoln City which would be 50 miles one way.. Finally, I got a call back from Tammi. She said that she had to get me in since it was for such an important occasion. Bless her heart! Secondly, I've been working a lot outside doing stonescaping on our property. My toes looked like I was a tree climber at least. My hands not that much better. It's been ages that I have had them taken care of. She did not in the slightest make me feel bad about either. She was an angel in truth. I had the best mani and pedi I've had, maybe ever!!! She used products that took my ape feet and made them so soft and pretty. My mani is perfectly done. No outside the line work if you know what I mean. And she was so quick like she had done nails for 25 years, which is true actually. The only problem with her business is that she is working way too hard and she herself needs to be pampered from the tip of her head to her own toes. I've learned my lesson about this area and have already made my 2nd appointment with her way ahead of time.

The salon is really nice and clean, and they have a large selection of products for sale. Anna is the best; she's so friendly and knowledgeable. She asked me what I hoped for and explained various options and what she thought would be best. After an AMAZING shampoo & massage she performed magic on my hair. She explained everything along the way, including how much product to use and how to style my new cut. I am obsessed with my new hair. I literally can't stop touching it. It's so soft and shiny, and it makes me feel polished and pretty for the first time in years. I already booked my next appointment and am so happy to have finally found THE salon and stylist for me.

She was charged $63.77 and then pressured to leave a tip, which felt inappropriate given her age and vulnerability. I emailed the owner; she left a message saying she would call, but when I called back she was unavailable. Later that day the stylist left a long, awkward message that did not include a real apology or offer to make things right. We will not return, and I'm sharing this experience so others--especially seniors and their families--know what to expect.

I am so glad I listened to that referral! The shop is small and a bit cluttered, but Marni knows exactly what she is doing and I suspect she knows where everything is amidst the clutter. She game me the exact color of highlights that I wanted and spent time showing me samples and explaining what each would look like with my hair color. She was pleasant and friendly and easy to chat with (very important with a hairdresser! LOL) She also gives the BEST shampoos (neck/head massage...so wonderful). I showed her a photo of a haircut I wanted and we talked about what would work best with my hair. My haircut is perfect! This is the first time in a very long time that I have left a salon actually liking the way it looks (rather than having to do it "my" way when I got home). I will definitely be back. I am looking to move a little farther up the coast, but will definitely make the drive to Seal Rock to have Marni do my hair! Thanks Marni!

She wasted half the time asking what I wanted, even though I told her I sent over the questionnaire with reference photos like she asked. No shampoo, just a choppy dry cut that was supposed to be no shorter than my waist. She had me stand, turned away from the mirror when she made the first chop and then ran to the garbage can by the back room to dump it. When I said it seemed too short, she told me that long hair is not flattering on my body type, told me I need to work out until I sweat. When I emailed her to tell her I was unhappy with how uneven, frizzy and not even close to how I wanted it was, she blamed me and "hormones." I guess if you're someone who will gossip about kissing married men in bars she will treat you well, otherwise you'll pay $150 for a dry, frizzy chop and be told you're fat by someone your same size.
