We had an appointment and had to wait 10 minutes after the agreed upon time. They had the doors open so there were flies flying around from outside and whenever someone was smoking outside you could smell it inside. Place, tools and stations all seemed relatively clean. I'm from out of town and go to the same place back home every time where they know what I like and what I'm talking about, but the lady doing my nails seemed to get frustrated with my requests. My adult daughter and I had manicures and pedicures last night. We both got full set nails with shellac nail polish. We both had shellac toenail polish too. Annie did my pedicure and manicure with tips. She did a wonderful job. She took her time and my nails all turned out great. My daughter is also very happy with her nails and experience. It was my first time here. My pedicure turned out great. My nails were just okay. They were pretty busy and I feel like that could have been part of the issue. My nail shape is off slightly and they don't match perfectly. They painted my nails while I was getting a pedicure to save time plus it's only been a week and because they didn't push my cuticles back I feel like they look incredibly overgrown. To start things off, I waited over 30 minutes past my appointment time and I clearly wasn't the only one. To go on, their swatches don't match the actual colors. So because of that, the two colors I picked no longer looked like they went together, whereas when I put the two color swatches together they matched perfectly (both pale baby pink, instead I ended up with a bubble gum color & a way darker sparkly shade than what I had picked) I wish that was all, but furthermore my nail tech kept wiping off the polish when trying to clean up the cuticle area so my nail polish is really uneven. To make matters even more horrendous the tips were applied crookedly. My nails are also chunky at the ends from the way the dip powder dried and wasn't filed off. Nails didn't end up being too bad! (Came out lighter than what was in the nail bottle) While he was taking off my old nail color he accidentally hit my pinky finger tip with the dremel! (Which hurt the rest of my visit) After you place new dip on my nails he pushed back my cuticles way to far and then he used the dremel and made two edges of my finger edges bleed! I have smudged nail polish on four of my nails, and I was put under the nail dryer and they had not come back for like 30 minutes and then I had to get my nail repainted because the person who did it was not paying attention and smudged it so badly and even after repainting it. it was even worse. By far the absolute best nail salon I have ever been to. Everyone there is extremely friendly. They do an amazing job on my nails. They really pay attention to detail and make sure my nails look the best. One thing I really appreciate the most is they remember me after going there a couple of times. I had one of the worst experiences tonight at this nail salon. I made an appointment and was told I'd have to wait for the person I had asked for at the time of the appointment. I said okay after waiting ten minutes and seeing he was still at least 10-15 minutes minimum before he would get to me I asked one of the what I believe to be owners to start my nails while I'm waiting. She proceeded to tell me she had an appointment and went back to painting her own nails. What is the point of an appointment? Horrible customer service. I called to explain my utter disappointment in the experience I was hung up on twice. And was told oh you can come back and he should be done now. I'm a momma with a tight schedule and won't take my daughter out during covid so I didn't have the time to go back and wait to be seen. So so disappointed. Very poor work. I get my acrylics done and the first day one popped off as I put my shoe on. It wasn't too big of a deal. I went in and got it replaced. However 2 days after that I was at a friends just standing in the kitchen and talking. I left and got in the car. I realized 3 nails were broken! Just standing there and 3 nails broke. I didn't even notice! My friend went here and got exactly what I did except I got a different color, and she got hers for $10 less! The work was not the best. Each nail shape was different. My daughter (11 yrs) and I went last Saturday after making an appointment online on Friday evening! We got there on time and they immediately got started with both of us! They offered us something to drink from water, coffee or soda! The gentleman, Michael is a real comedian and his wife was kind and did a great job with the extra designing (snowman and snowflakes). I want to say first, I have never given someone or a business a bad review, ever. I won't even send my food back at a restaurant because I feel too bad. But this has been bothering me so much, that I have thought about it multiple times a day (probably because I keep looking at my hands) and this happened a week ago. The two things that I have ALWAYS tipped for are my two favorite things I do to treat myself, and that is getting my hair dyed, and getting my nails done. I used to get my nails done every month and would always make time for it. But that has changed drastically as children come in and take over your once cool life. lol. Quick version, I have only been to one salon in the past 2 years, so I was very excited and happy to finally be able to go. I looked into the salons in west bend, and Tipsy was the one that jumped out to me. I was delighted when I came in, started talking to other customers and picking out colors and then got even happier when I learned of their prices. So as I am still looking at colors, a woman comes over and likes shoes me over towards the tales. I ask her for her opinion on what color I should get, she shrugs and says a muffled I don't know. she was irritated with me from the beginning. she was rude about my hand being shaky, but I have serotonin syndrome, and it is uncontrollable and it wasn't even bad. She then got irritated because I wasn't sure how long I wanted my nails to be, cuz I like mine long enough and that is literally what her job description You have to do what I want being smiley and talkative. I could tell she was talking about me, which I find extremely rude, esp when you guys are all yelling across the salon in a different language, just mean mugging people just doesn't work me. She put ONE coat of a darker red. I broke my first nail on day.next the SAME. I will say they looked beautiful. so all in all, it has the makings of being a very nice salon. I was really looking forward to trying this salon out since they opened. I stopped in at 545p on a Friday night as a walk in and was told the wait would be 15-20 minutes. At 25 minutes I was getting antsy, at 35 minutes, irritated and should have just walked out. At 40 minutes downright annoyed. No one during this time even said a word to me even though I was sitting in their their line of sight 10 feet away. After a 45 minute wait it was my turn. I had an ombre image from Pinterest that I've done at home (I am not a nail professional) and he told me he couldn't do that airbrush design. I said you don't need to airbrush, you could use a sponge or blend with a brush. Nope, he (a nail technician) couldn't do it. I walked out. Had they even acknowledged me during my wait or even told me initially that the wait would be 45 min-1 hour, I could have planned and come back. They wasted my time. I won't ever go back. read more
