We finally tried this joint. Had the bbq pork plate, collards, Mac n cheese, slaw, and French fries. Blown away by the slaw. Perfection. Meat had plenty of moisture, and a good mix of bark from the butt. Collards were spot on. Mac n cheese needs a recipe change-avoid. French fries are made in some time travel device on the counter that needs no vent hood. Interesting gadget. Great people with charm. Great service for a gas station. Maybe the best bbq in Gwinnett. ALWAYS tender meat! Just got ribs right off the smoker! You have to try their Mac n cheese... also, EVERYTHING else! I haven't had one thing from this place that wasn't good. The Tipsy Pig BBQ is the basic "hole in the wall" local favorite. It is collocated with an Exxon station on the corner of Oak Rd and Five Forks. The gas station cashier handles all cash transactions for the Tipsy Pig. It takes some getting used to. The Tipsy Pig staff are very friendly and helpful with taking your order and serving the food. All the BBQ items I've ordered are fresh and tasty with a number of available sauces to pick from. My only complaint would be the bread layer. On my last visit I ordered a pulled pork sandwich which was served on a bun that was just too small to contain the massive stack of pork and slaw between the top and bottom. Messy but very good eating. Tipsy Pig offers inside dining as well as take out. Parking can be a problem in the Exxon parking lot but you have the entire Kroger shopping center lot available. Like with most food service outlets the Tipsy Pig prices has gone up recently. read more

This local gem is kinda hidden away in a gas station. I just happened to notice it one day when leaving church. I let them know that this is my first time stopping in, in an attempt to ensure that they 'wow' me .....and that they did! I tried the ribs, collard greens, and coleslaw. They were all very good. The ribs were very tender, the greens were seasoned well, and the coleslaw had just enough sweetness to make me happy. I have since gone back a few more times and noticed the consistency in the quality and preparation of their food. I am glad that I decided to look up from my phone that day, lol. read more

Good kinda cold ribs not the best but good enough ...not a lot of variety in sauces (2) but falling out of the bone and tender smokey meat the chicken was good nice smokey flavored real juicy. The best was the red neck Ruben filled with pulled pork n ham on one of the most delicious breads nice n toasty the baked beans were also excellent the coleslaw was average the iced tea was good but the lemonade was too sweet for my taste. Weird location for the "restaurant"inside the shell gas station but if i ever craved ribs or a red neck ruben i will come back.The service is excellent n they answer any questions u might have bout the food. read more

It's a hole in the wall and is actually in (not adjoining, bit in) a gas station -- you get your drink and pay for your food at the counter in the gas station. Insanely good BBQ. I'm almost at a loss for words. (But not quite...). Goofy hole in the wall with the mini-mart store for the gas station in the other side of the building but Tipsy Pig is the best BBQ. They have a couple of tables so you can eat there but it's more of a guilty pleasure take out place. It's all good. Their French fries are always hot. The Brunswick stew is really good too. Sometimes I'll get sides of green beans or Mac & cheese. They always taste good as well. I love their potato salad.
