Took home a rack of ribs, half a chicken and bowl of stew. Ribs were just not good. Chicken is delicious. Husband said the stew is still good. But, the ribs did NOT live up to their reputation. Soo yummy, and very friendly! Good value for portion size also! But I have to deduct one star because I am a barbecue sauce LOVER (I am obsessed with it and want to lay down in a small bathtub of sauce when I eat BBQ) but when you order food to go, you are given teeeeeny tiny little containers of sauce, and have to pay for extra ones. However, if you eat in the store, each table has an endless supply of barbecue sauce. I want my sauce, dang it! If you have issues with hole in the wall places, or the fact that this is in a Shell gas station, check that hoity-toity at the door and get over yaself. There isn't better BBQ in the area, and you're missing out! I noticed a sign last night that they are now offering their food at that disaster off of 78 Hwy known as The Pub, and I just hope that place doesn't do damage to their name or their delicious food. Nothing beats a good ol' fashioned restaurant in a gas station right? I decided to drop by for lunch when I was visiting and wasn't too sure what to expect. The place itself is literally in a gas station to the side with a few tables and chairs set up. Although the set up wasn't much, the food was truly amazing! I've been told that Georgia bbq is more tomato based and that you won't see anything but pig east of the Mississippi. Coming from Texas, this was a bit surprising since some of the best bbq I've had has been brisket and beef ribs. Well I decided to get the 4 pork rib plate with two sides of collards and potato salads and I can say hands down that these were the best pork ribs I've ever had! They blow the ones in Texas out of the water, as they are flavorful and fall right off the bone and melt in your mouth when you take a bite. I could probably eat these pork ribs everyday! They give you the option of a spicy bbq sauce and a regular one. I preferred the spicy one but the ribs were so good that you didn't even need any sauce to enjoy them. I will definitely come back again next time I'm in Atlanta and I hope to try out the other bbq in the area as well! read more

I love this place! The first time I went in I had my son with me. Keeping a 4 year old entertained at home is hard enough, never mind in a strange restaurant. However, the owner was there and was very helpful in describing how his restaurant worked, and even gave us a sample of the blackberry cobbler. So, the food: 1 - The pulled pork is delicious, especially paired with the house sauce. The sides I chose were macaroni and cheese and green beans, which were both very good. I'm not usually a fan of the southern style green beans, but these were exceptional and I would eat them again. The macaroni was very good too. 2 - My kid also had pulled pork with French fries. His review was a thumbs up. 3 - Brought my wife some ribs to go and she said they were absolutely delicious. 4 - The peach cobbler is wonderful and I want to eat it every day. Definitely my go to BBQ place in Lilburn. But why not 5 stars then? - you might ask. Well, I would prefer toast to white bread, and as far as I can tell they don't offer pulled chicken, which can be a nice compliment to pork in a family setting. Wow. Made the trip out to the Tipsy Pig for dinner tonight and we were not disappointed. The ribs were as good as advertised. Pulled pork plate was solid as well. At best, I give these guys three stars for average. I was kind of excited reading the reviews before I actually went in for food. It was memorial day and I didn't have the energy to cook myself. I ordered the ribs which many reviews have referred to as amazing, and sides (baked beans, potato salad, and mac n cheese). The ribs were just OK. Some pieces were over cooked and tough. Not falling off the bone the way I like. And, the sides were just average too. I guess it's all a matter of perception. What someone thinks is great might be average to you. Oh, and the peach cobbler is def a NO for me. It had the texture of bread pudding. No crust and no juice :( read more

We really enjoyed the bbq here (ribs and pulled pork), the sides and peach pudding were very good, and the young guy working the counter was super nice and a real pleasure to interact with. The payment is handled by the gas station counter before you get your food, which we're unaccustomed to, and we felt bad afterwards because we forgot to leave a very well deserved tip after the great experience we had. read more

I consider myself well versed in southern bbq cause of my age and background being an Atlanta native that has tried most all the bbq there is to be had in N Georgia. I did not go to the restaurant/gas station. My lovely wife picked it up and brought it home..I had the ribs she had a pulled pork sandwich. I gotta tell we were not disappointed in either as well as the sides. They are a little unique in some of the things they do but all are very good including the Brunswick Stew that has a little bit of everything in it and is some of the best I know of.
