Since this was our last night in town, we didn't want to eat too heavy. 3 of us opted for the sliders and we each ordered salads. Pretty decent place to stop into and enjoy some good bites and good entertainment. We have walked past this place hundreds of times and finally made it in. Without walking past it and then coming back to see how crowded it is and if we wanted to visit. This time it was a must to get our visit complete and we did. We walked into a very crowded place, and we were informed that there were only seating out on the patio being that it was a little windy. I just decided to look at a menu and was going to order something to go in five minutes later a young lady walked up and said that she had a table for us and seated us right away. It is football season so every television had football on the screens. Once we received it, our hostess came over right away with another young lady whom she was training. And proceeded to take our drink orders with a friendly attitude, and when she returned with their drinks, she took our food order. Timeframe was great from beginning to end on service and being served our plates, which were pretty good portions. A cool thing about it is from the outside of the location. There is an open window that you can watch one of the cooks grill some of the meats on a circular grill. There are thousands of photos on the walls inside of mini visitors who have stopped in throughout the years of this being open. Another cool thing is that they are open 24 seven, so good food is always available myself in one of my guest had special requests about food that we did not see on the menu and they accommodated us like the chili cheese fries, they took the french fries and put their homemade chili over the top, which was really good and flavorful. I think the only thing that really needed attention was the women's restroom for the one time visit that I made during this particular visit. Overall, everything was great. I've eaten here maybe 3-4x. I think it's time to leave a review. This place is part of my top 3 burger spots, thus far. They have an extensive menu of salads, apps, sandwiches, burgers, and breakfast items served all day. The restaurant has electronic gaming at the bar, so if you have children, you can't dine inside. They have a small outdoor space, but we've never had issues getting a table. The ambiance is what you would expect of a casino/bar type restaurant. It's dirty and it's dingy. But I pay it no mind because the burgers are *chef's kiss*. Every burger I've had has been executed perfectly. The burgers are flavorful and juicy and I always find myself finishing the entire thing. I have not been disappointed so far. We love the CORKSCREW SHRIMP for apps. I've tried some of their other items from other people in my party, like cheesesteaks, breakfast sandwiches, hot dogs, and chix sandwiches, but STICK WITH THE BURGERS, it's what they're known for. 24/7 deliciousness Fun servers with no rush. This place is worth the wait. Fabulous food and great drinks. Julius Beaver is their spin on an orange Julius alcoholic beverage. A double loses that sweet orange cream flavor so I recommend keeping it a single. Ahi Poke is delicious (make sure you ask for extra won ton chips because you only get three) this is served in a cocktail glass. Expensive for the small portion but tasty. This place is walking distance from our hotel (Ballys), so glad we stumbled upon it!! Came on a Monday night, walked in, and were seated right away. Unfortunately they were out of the salmon and tuna, but had shrimp! They substituted the salmon salad with shrimp, and it was DELICIOUS. The best shrimp salad I've ever had. Our hotel didn't serve full breakfast so we headed across the street to the Lucky Beaver. It's a tiny little bar tucked in between casinos and I've seen it for years but never stopped in. It's a nice divey sports bar covered with lots of pictures of happy customers all over the walls. It's mostly high-top tables plus the bar, with a small patio outside. I got the namesake breakfast - it came with two eggs, bacon, sausage, avocado, sourdough toast and tots. The eggs were perfect and so was the bacon. The toast was good and it was fun to have the tots, though they were a little overdone. I didn't particularly care for the sausage but nothing wrong with it. My husband enjoyed his steak and eggs, cooked perfectly medium rare. The coffee was also surprisingly good and the service was friendly. For the appetizers for the table, we ordered the appetizer sampler, onion rings, and fried calamari. I love the mozzarella sticks and chicken wings that come with the appetizer sampler. I always forget how big their burgers are and was only able to finish half of my burger and had to take the other half home because it was so heavy but DELICIOUS! However, the burgers were just okay. We tried the Silver and the one with grilled onions and thousand island, but they didn't quite stand out. As for the tater tots, they were mediocre--a bit greasy and unseasoned even though we asked for Cajun (they just handed us the seasoning on the side instead of tossing them in it). Burgers are made to order and take about 15 minutes (stated on their menu). Our royal flush was juicy and had a good beefy taste. The ratio of beef patty:cheese:grilled onions:sautéed mushrooms:fresh veggie:bun was perfect. I couldn't really taste the horseradish aioli but did see it in there. We ordered medium (not the slightest bit pink) and wished we had gone with medium rare but it was still tasty. The tater tots were super crispy! Service was good. No parking validation. The first 45 minutes are free then it's $15 for up to 2 hours. I timed our visit and we would have barely made it out of there in 45. First time at Lucky Beaver Bar & Burger for dinner and we came right back for breakfast the next morning. The place has some of the best burgers I've ever had. It was dry aged and cooked perfectly. The blue cheese was the highlight and they loaded it for me. I got the avocado, lettuce and tomato on the side so it didn't clash with the blue cheese. The onion rings were also fried to perfection with a really good batter. And we enjoyed several tasty beers on draft. Service was excellent, and the vibes inside were cool. For breakfast I had the Steak and Egg burrito. I could have used more steak and less egg. But it was prepared as listed on the menu, 4 oz of steak and 3 eggs. But I noticed they have a steak and egg sandwich that I could probably convert to a burrito. And that one has 6 oz of steak and 2 eggs. I'll take it for that delicious steak. We spotted this place with their meats turning in the front window as the wonderful smell of burgers as we walked by for a concert at the event center. Really good burger spot in Tahoe. Right down the street from Harrah's. Pretty big in door area with tons of high top tables and bar seating. The atmosphere is fun with music blasting (that may not be good for some though). The food was really good. We both got the Gambler. I got the Cajun fries and my husband got the Cajun tots. The Cajun seasoning is pretty spicy though. We liked it, but it was hot. The service left a little to be desired. The waitress was super busy. She forgot my water that I asked for. Solid food spot. Everything I ordered was good for sports bar food. The burger was juicy and the wing flavors were very good. The only changes I would make are more consistent seasoning on the Cajun fries and less salty chili dog but I'm not sure if they can change anything about that. My fries were 90% plain with maybe a few covered in Cajun seasoning which was a bummer. The fries were a bit stale as well. The chili dog was extremely salty but the flavor itself was good. I knocked down 2 stars mostly due to service and how they run the place. They do not take down names when it's busy, they make you "stand in line" even though no one is actually standing in line and if two seats or space opens up to stand inside and it's cold outside, they still expect you to stand outside. None of it makes sense. It seemed very unorganized and every server had an irritated and bitchy attitude. They get things done quick there which is nice but it's not fun when everyone has resting bitch face and people keep trying to take your plates away while you're still eating. They gave me an extra plate to put my chicken wing bones and after I put 2 in there, they tried to collect the plate multiple times even though there was a plate of uneaten wings next to it. Our server had half black and blonde hair and absolutely killed it as our waitress. She was on top of her game. Our waters and sodas were constantly being refilled. Empty plates taken away. It looks like a college hangout with all of the merchandise for sale, tons of framed pictures on the walls, and loud rock music blaring. Front of the house seated us immediately where there happened to be open tables in the outdoor dining area in the back of the restaurant. Hubby and I each ordered burgers. My $24 Platinum Signature, a 50-day aged steak burger with American cheese, thousand island dressing, and caramelized onions was life-altering delicious. Seriously, my burger was very juicy, flavorful, and amazing. Buns were tender but held up well against the 1/2 lb patty and toppings. The tater tots were fried perfectly and also delicious. Hubby's $19 Royal Flush burger with grilled onions and mushrooms with A1 sauce was also delicious. But you could definitely tell the difference in the meat patties. Service was great. At first glance, it seemed like your typical bar food spot, so we weren't expecting anything too special. We ordered a mix of burgers, a couple of chicken Cobb salads, and a tower of onion rings. Since it was super busy, the food took a while to come out, but when it finally arrived, we were honestly surprised--the presentation was way better than expected, and everything looked great. The burgers were well-seasoned and delicious, and the salads were fresh and flavorful--definitely a standout. The only downside was the long wait and that a couple of the burgers were luke warm. Not a bar that happens to serve burgers, but a gourmet burger restaurant that does so in a bar. I'm always a bit skeptical when something is acclaimed as the "best of" anything. Is it possible that Lucky Beaver might actually have, or at least be close to, the Best Burger in Tahoe? Yes. I was surprised to see they offer two types of burgers: 1. the 1/2 lb Signature using 50-day aged prime rib along with chuck, brisket and short rib; and 2. the 1/2 lb Famous Steak Burger made with short rib and bone-in chuck roast. So, the Signature Burger was obviously better, right? Well, actually...no. The Steak Burger was much more moist and flavorful than its colleague, the Signature Burger. The "ambiance" is...a loud and busy bar. If you're good with that, then you're good. They do have a small back patio which is dog and family friendly, and with this huge menu they're as much a restaurant as they are a bar anyway. This was a surprisingly good place ! I've passed this bar many times but never had the desire to venture in purely because of the name. We finally decided to try it after someone recommended it to us. This dive bar has lots of character. There are tons of pictures to look at on the walls and a great spot up front to watch the bacon and burgers cooking away on a rotating grill. It was packed when we arrived but we snagged a table for two and were served right away by the friendly staff. There's a great selection of cocktails and beers and best of all an extensive burger menu. I tried the Gambler and it was delicious!
