[[HIGHLIGHT]]This tavern had a comfy, laid-back vibe with a full bar and video poker games along the counter.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Our server was really friendly and took great care of us, which made the experience even better. The food was pretty solid overall. We ordered the Cajun shrimp salad, Tavern burger, buffalo cauliflower, and fish and chips. I'm giving 4 stars mainly because the buffalo cauliflower didn't actually taste like buffalo -- it leaned more toward a curry-style spice. It was still good, just not what we were expecting. The fish and chips came with deep-fried salmon, which unfortunately was a bit dry. On the bright side, the fries were SO good -- they tasted like they were fried in beef tallow and reminded us of McDonald's fries in the best way. Overall, a good spot with a nice atmosphere, and I'd definitely be open to trying other items on the menu next time!

I really enjoyed our experience at Tahoe Tavern before opening night over at the Knight Monsters game. Great food and drinks and some interesting menu options! We arrived for an early dinner around 5pm. The place was mostly empty at the time. We were seated promptly and ordered some drinks. The cocktails were good. The espresso martini was especially delicious. We put in our order for food. I was impressed by the menu. Many things looked good and there were many classic dishes as well as traditional dishes with a twist. Our food came and the two burgers were good as well as the side of onion rings for an extra charge. One of our burgers was ordered with a side salad and there is an extra charge for that too. The birria dip was interesting and had great flavor. The fried chicken sandwich was tasty but we couldn't quite decide what was "Korean" about it. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The restaurant is nicely decorated with plenty of tables. I suspect this was not always a restaurant based on the massive mirrored wall. But maybe it's just a unique design choice.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Why not five stars? Nothing was amazing. The portions were a bit small, especially the proteins. The chicken patty was very slim and I do think the dip could have had more meat. The burgers were ok, but nothing out of this world. The prices are also high. For four entrees and two cocktails the bill was about $150 before tip. Seems a bit steep, but it is Tahoe. I'll visit Tahoe Tavern again because I'd like to try some other menu items. Overall it's a cool spot. I'd recommend it if you're looking for somewhere around stateline that is not in the hustle and bustle of the casinos. Cheers!

During our annual summer vacation, my friends and I decided to try Tahoe Tavern & Grill for lunch as we were near Stateline in South Lake Tahoe. TT&G is a great location offering up some pretty damn tasty food and drinks, along with gaming and sports bar vibes in a casual, inviting setting. Our server, Travis B., was super friendly and took care of our party with some great service and a friendly attitude. Our group ordered a variety of pizzas, tacos and sandwiches. I went with the 10" Deck Roasted Veggie Pizza - sweet San Marzano tomato sauce, custom cheese blend, topped with slow roasted onion, mushroom, marinated artichoke hearts, grilled red pepper, broiled Roma tomato and garlic confit. I really liked the pizza. The dough was nice, so to the right balance of crisp and softness. The ingredients on the Deck Roasted Veggie were delicious and blended well together. There were a couple of slightly burnt crust edges, but overall, not too bad. My friends enjoyed their tacos, pizzas and sandwiches as well. The feedback from our group included that the Pacific Pig pizza was unique and delicious, while the street tacos were just OK. TT&G is a nice gastropub that offers something for everyone, including a kid's menu. The prices aren't too over the top given the quality of the ingredients. The staff is super friendly and welcoming. Plenty of indoor seating, along with a shaded outdoor area as well. A half dozen TVs featuring live sporting events, video poker at the bar, plenty of parking in the strip mall space and clean restrooms. Check them out the next time you are near Stateline in South Lake Tahoe for a solid meal, rain or shine.

So there I was, I couldn't go home because it was my wife's book club night. I've already been working an hour beyond my regular day. I'm hungry and I have to drive by this establishment on a regular basis. You see I live down in the Carson valley. I give in. I know there are dozens of menu items that I have not tried yet and I already know that I love this place. Tonight I would try something new, and so I did. Tonight it was the Heat Check hamburger. It seemed like if you could think of a food that is spicy it was on this burger. Oh, and before I forget, they start with a half pound of meat. The burger comes with a side of fries, and you could upgrade to onion rings, the soup of the day, a house salad, and number of other items. I chose the fries and then I still had another decision to make. Did I want thin cut fries or thick cut fries? So, as you might suspect, I'm in no hurry and so I check out the two different televisions that are broadcasting a women's NCAA playoff softball game, and a women's tennis match. I think it was the French Open, but I'm not sure. Nonetheless, it kept me busy as I rotated between the two screens. When I arrived at the restaurant it was mostly empty, and it gradually got more crowded as my time there went on. I was getting used to the sports bar ambience, and so I ordered a beer, a tap beer that came out of San Diego that was similar to Blue Moon. So we've got a unique burger served in a sports bar environment with a really nice beer out of San Diego and comfortable service. Yes, I'll be back.

In town for an overnight stay and friends recommended Tahoe Tavern and Grill. Manny and Patrick took great care of us. I ordered the salmon fish n chips. Generous portion, totally shareable, the salmon was moist and beer battered. I'd definitely order it again. We were indecisive when trying to decide what to order, and Manny made suggestions based on our likes and dislikes.

Walking around SLT, looking at shops and decided to pop in for food. It was a beautiful day, but we decided to eat inside because it was warm out. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The decor is what's you'd expect in Tahoe. Dark wood, rustic[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]. Lunch was good, bar food. Service was fair. I might stop in again, but probably want to try other options first. The fish was good the burger was fine, not memorable I'm afraid.

We came in on a Saturday night and it was a packed house. Hostess put us on the wait list and continuously came back to update us. After we ordered, our food came out pretty quickly! Portions were generous and the taste was on point.

I had heard so many great things about this place that I had to try it. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It's nothing amazing to look at, but trust me you want to eat here.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The service was great and our server recommended many excellent options. I chose a sandwich with fries and my husband had the soft tacos( although the menu said crunchy street tacos which confused us since street tacos are soft and) I can't not say enough about my cheesy pesto sandwich and fries. It had a lovely balsamic reduction and the fries were crispy and delicious. I could not finish it. I'll definitely be back to trying new items on the menu. I wish they had a better price point on their wine options, but it is Tahoe.

What a great find! We came for dinner and were greeted by friendly staff, quickly seated, and enjoyed the updated and open tavern. The patio is a beautiful spot to enjoy away from the games if you aren't a sports person. Psst it's a great place to watch your favorite sports! Cocktails were delightful and we enjoyed our dinner selections. Gluten free options for those that need them! One of us tried the Korean chicken sandwich and the only critique we had was that the chicken was over cooked and dry. I highly suggest Jay's Cubano with the crispy fries. It was delightful!

The interior is dimly lit, calm, and still very inviting--something you really have to experience in person. The drinks and mocktails are so well crafted that it's almost shocking--you take a sip, then look back at the menu like, "Wait... that's all it cost?" and then back at the bartender like, "Hold on... you made this perfectly for me?" We sat at the bar top and, like everyone else, got caught up in our phones trying to post everything in real time. But Amanda, who was making our drinks, could spark a conversation out of thin air. The atmosphere itself is on the smaller side, but it fits the cozy, hidden speakeasy vibe perfectly. That being said, the pricing is a bit tough to swallow. I ordered a drink for $22 that tasted good, but overall, the drinks here are just way too expensive for what you get. They also had live music playing during our visit; it was good lounge background music that added a nice vibe to the room, but it wasn't anything spectacular or something to get overly excited about. It's a cool spot to check out for the ambiance, but the high drink prices keep it at a flat three stars for me.

The Seafood Plateau was incredible with King Crab Legs, Jumbo Prawns, Mussels, Lobster Tail, Ahi Tuna Poke, and Salmon Poke. It was a tad spendy, but since it's shareable for 4-5, I'd say it's worth it and would definitely order again next time. We also had the Crab Cake, two sizeable patties -- a little bit more flavorful and larger than your typical Crab Cake. The Grilled Broccolini was good, but typical. Lastly, for appetizers, the Crispy Pork Belly was also a hit -- although I did not get a taste as it is smaller and not so much shareable. The pièce de résistance was the Tomahawk Steak. Cooked perfectly medium-rare and served with Chimichurri and Au Poivre sauces on the side. The steak was very flavorful without any sauce, IMO. Served with Grilled Asparagus and Lobster Mac & Cheese. Kelsey provided excellent suggestions and service throughout. The ambiance was nice -- not dressy, but not casual. Resort attire, is what they call it, I think. We will definitely be back!

We basically waited 10 minutes to get seated when we walked in. Information about happy hour can be very confusing as their website has different hours than their IG. When we were seated they seated us directly against a wall with very limited table space for four girls. We ordered wine flights (actually a great deal 4 wines for $25) and apps. We all were very hungry as we just got off a plane but they don't really have anything that is meal worthy more or less just small bites. The burrata was so yummy but the toasts were a little hard. Buffalo cauliflower dip was great and I loved the combination because I would've never thought to have a dip with cauliflower, cheese and buffalo sauce! When we ordered the apps we didn't have any table space left and the waiter took quite a while to pick up our prior plates and bring our bill. If you want outdoor seating I would recommend you go early as it fills up very fast and anything over two people will be hard to get in.
