Located in the historic Prince George Hotel building, this is a good spot for beer and food that's well above pub fare. Menu ranges from usual grill items to meat pies, curries, boxtys, and several fish offerings. The beer menu is not the longest you'll ever see but solidly impressive. Amaze your friends by ordering the 23 oz Hoegaarden belgian wheat, which comes in a freakishly large glass. We were there on a warm summer evening and dined outside where we took in the sights of Kingston. Beware if they seat you next to the big red wooden doors; these hide the dumpster ---and you will take in the smells of Kingston along with the sights. We had the fish and chips which featured two light, flaky, and perfectly fried pieces of halibut and a Thai themed plate of mussels which was also very good. Service is smart, friendly, and attentive. On this busy Friday they seemed a bit stretched but kept up with it. As we finished up live music commenced inside and there was quite a lively bar crowd. It looks like it would be a nice place to hang out for a few hours if you are more thirsty than hungry.

Nice place to grab a quick bite to eat. The food was not great but I went during the summer and the patio was very nice. The waiting was also prompt and very accommodating. If you're walking by, stop for a nice place to rest but don't expect a very good meal. The company I was with ordered the sangria (white) and said it was very good and I ordered a Guinness.

Meme of my friend and his quote about this burger.

Came in on a recommendation from a friend who used to live in Kingston. Ordered Blarney Chips and before we could blink they showed up. They were pretty darn good! The main course arrived, Guinness Burgers. Wow We were absolutely blown away by this burger!!!! By far the best burger either of us have ever had. Staff were super friendly and fast. Will definitely come back soon.

We went for lunch. Ordered. They dumped us for a larger party of people. We were disgusted and left

A bottle of vodka at Duty Free USA is $21.50.. Same bottle in Ontario is $69.50............................... (lots of dots to ponder), reality/truth is ONTARIO is a terrible place to shop/buy. After spending a few weeks in 5 different states; if you have the means/opportunity, go to AMERICA!!! Regardless if the dollar is .80 cents to the dollar or even .65 cents to the dollar. Shoes, clothes, food, drink are just more affordable. You can go to a bar and have a drink for $2.. $2.50; try to get a drink in Toronto for under $9 (rarity). In other words; duty free makes a lot of sense. As does shopping/supporting America and it's retailers; there's no glory in being taxed 13% and paying double for 'stuff' in Ontario.

It is actually on Wellsley Island, on the America's side just before you cross northward into Canada. If you are going south from Canada into the US, you want Thousand Islands Duty Free. As you would expect, there are deals here on a variety of items, most notably alcohol, cigarettes, and cologne, but other items, souvenirs, etc. Prices and procedures are standard. Shop carefully - some things are very good deals, some are not. The facility is clean, the rest rooms are well maintained - and a good place to stop first if there's a long line waiting to enter Canada. There a few benches outside and an area which offers you a great view of part of the St. Lawrence River and some of the nearby islands.

I have shopped at Arsenal Wine and Liquor for over a decade. Within the last year, I have run into…read moreproblems with deliveries and employees. It isn't bad enough that their deliveries are always a problem but their employees are very unhelpful. If I didn't want one particular spirit that only they sell, I would not shop there. Let me give you the rundown. Everytime I order a delivery, something is always wrong. At -10 degrees, I don't want to go out to shop in store or do a pickup. So, I ordered a delivery. When it was half an hour after it was scheduled to be delivered and still had not shown up, I called. The employee who answered the phone told me that it was ready for pickup. I told him that I had paid for delivery. We went back and forth for a while before he decided to check with another employee. He was told that it was a delivery order. Then, he told me that no one was available to deliver it at that time. By the time I received the order, it was over an hour late. Good thing it was nothing that I needed right away. Prior to this, I had tried to use the free delivery offer that I received in my email. When I started to checkout, it showed that I had to pay for delivery. I called the store to ask about this issue. The employee I spoke with told me that they could not do anything about the delivery charge because it was offered through a different company. That was it. Tough luck. We lied. We don't care. We just collect the money. At this point, I want to reach out to tell others how bad the service at Arsenal Wine and Liquor is. Personally, I will start looking for other stores that might have a different spirit that I don't mind even if I can't buy the one that I really want. So, good luck with deliveries from Arsenal Wine & Liquor. Good luck finding any helpful employees. Don't expect much because you will not get much. Yes, I will be writing reviews about City Hive, the delivery company, at Trustpilot and Sitejabber.

Big selection, helpful staff, prices are a little high on some products but over all good.read more
