    Meatloaf. Single carrot lol

This place is known for their fish and chips and I did NOT get fish and chips. That should be noted. The food was decent, I ended up getting the meatloaf and a Greek salad. The meatloaf was good and so was the salad, but nothing really blew me away. It was kind of bland, boring and basic. Definitely could do better. The meatloaf was tasty but underwhelming, had to add a lot of salt and pepper. The Greek chicken salad was underseasoned as well, minimal feta and the chicken was BORING. So plain. Definitely could have been executed better. Overall, if you're gonna come here, maybe just stick with the fish and chips. Why mess with a good thing?

2 Piece Cod with Greek salad.

Stopped into the Pilot House for a bite of lunch while in the area. Was able to get seated on the patio which was a bit tight seating wise but had a comfortable atmosphere. The Pilot House doesn't have a very large menu, mostly fish and chips and British pub fare. I opted for the 2 piece cod and subbed out the fries for a Greek salad. The fries looked quite good but as was traveling thought a side salad would be a better choice. The fish was fairly good with a slightly heavy batter but not too heavy. The Greek salad was ok, nothing remarkable, with a fair amount of Romain lettuce, tomatoes, red and green peppers, cucumber, and canned black olives. The Greek dressing for the salad was a bit lackluster as well. All the substitutions were an up-charge so ended up being quite expensive for the two of us.

A great addition to your historical trip through Kingston, Ontario. Ask about the history of the place. So cool! Great food, great service and a very cool building. Some of the best fish and chips I have had.

Came here because of the Yelp fish and chip reviews...and man we're the right. Came after a rugby tournament..the halibut and chips was superb and the Guinness perfect. The staff were awesome. Will come back for sure.

Best fish & chips worldwide, better than in any of the half-dozen foreign countries I've visited in the British commonwealth.

Fish and chips and beer and deck in Summer. Nothing else. The company you bring will likely be the highlight.

The fish is superb. Some of the sandwiches are iffy. Also, really good comradery among the patrons at the bar.

Best fish and chips in town. Great spot to meet up downtown after work for a beer and meal on the patio.

The pub itself was rather well done, a North American version of an English pub. After reviewing their small drink menu, we ordered beverages. I had to change for my normal Manhattan to a martini as they had no bourbon. Not sure if that was due to the tariff war between Canada and the US were not. My martini was superbly made! Well, balanced, and delicious! My wife enjoyed a nice South African Cabernet Sauvignon. For our main courses, I decided on their Caesar salad, adding grilled chicken while my wife ordered the macaroni and cheese skillet. I must say it seemed a little long coming out of the kitchen; however, it was well presented and delicious. They had a lovely dry cider on temp which I thoroughly enjoyed as well. Hopefully we'll have time to make another stop before we depart the area.

I also enjoyed the duck bao, but if you are like me, and dislike spicy food, ask them to hold the Sriracha sauce. My husband had the BLT which was served on a very tasty multigrain bread.
