don't ever take your vehicle to this place they don't have a certified technician the manager is not one as well. She claims she is and worked on my vehicle leaving it worse than it was brought there just for an AC charge. I have $5000 worth of damage that they are not covering nor are they covering a rental for me as well due to my vehicle not running please do not take your vehicle to this place at all. Called their location and they won't even help cover the damage that employees did to my called their insurance for the MONRO company and they denied fixing my vehicle as well or covering the damage. Went here for an oil change. They did a good job, BUT! When tried to apply for the $20 rebate online, it was very frustrating. The store wasn't listed on the drop-down menu. So I called and the rep added the store. then, answered way too many questions. After finishing, clicked on "Submit". App came back and said there was a problem. I got so frustrated I clicked off. This place is definitely trying to rip people off. I took my car here to get an oil change in a pinch. It was over due and I couldn't go to my usual mechanic. They tried telling me I need over $2000 work done to my car when I know my normal mechanic would have pointed such things out if they were really that bad. I would NEVER recommend anyone get anything done at this place. Wal Mart auto center would be more trustworthy than these guys. read more

Hi Everyone: The day before I left Massillon on my return drive home to California, I got my oil changed and the guy said I needed new parts under the front end to hold grease. I took my Van to Dennis at Monro on Lincoln Way in Massillon to see what it needed. They were able to fit me in right away. When Dennis sat down with me while opening a package to show me a new part, I was sure he was going to sell me something. Instead, he showed me the part that I did not need, said all was normal and I didn't need to do anything. While I was there I had them rotate and balance the tires at a fair price. I stopped in today and talked to Daryl. I let him know that the pin in my valve stem was coming out. Without looking at it he told me that can't happen and that my valve stem was broken and it would be $90 to fix it. I let him know that it wasn't broken at all. After he insisted that he was right, I left without getting it fixed. After I left I drove two doors down to Auto Zone and bought a took for $1.99 and had the valve stem fixed in 2 minutes. the manager there by the name deniis will manipulate you and take full advantage of you not knowing anything about cars and pressure you into fixing things that don't need to be fixed by using fear and scar tactics in order to get you to say okay. I would'nt send my worst enemie to this money hungry place. Went there to get my exhaust fixed and was originally told it would cost $200 to fixe with labor And ended up spending over $2200 that I didn't have to spend trusting & listening to Dennis's convincing lies in order to get more money out of me. The was was only worth $500 According to kelly blue book. I had to sell my silver bars and took a $1400 loss on them in order to repair the car and made it very clear to him that I didn't have a lot of money and he kept adding to the bill saying that driving the car the way it was was dangerous and unsafe and that I could get into an accident and that the insurance company would hold me at fault for driving a car that wasn't safe Not knowing at the time that he was full of non-sense and got scared and gave into his manipulation and trusted his expertise and professionalism that he knew what he was doing. I went to alliance two separate times to cash in my silver eagles and silver bars so that I could pay him for the work. You wouldve thought it was Christmas with how many times him and his employee counted the additional $1,700 on top of the $550 in cash I had to give Dennis. He kept assuring me that it was a good car and that it was worth putting money into it and now 5 months later I no longer have a car due to it needing an additional $4000 worth of repairs on top of the $2250 I gave tire choice and was told by multiple places that the car wasn't worth putting more money into it and that I got screwed big time with tire choice. Had I known all of this prior, non of the work wouldn't have never got done plus this money would've been a down payment on a newer car that wouldn't have had any of these issues to begin with. My friend gave me the 2004 Chevy impala and had no idea Or knowledge on fixing and repairing cars. To my elderly brothers and sisters And people that don't have any knowledge on cars, Please ask around and get second opinions before you agree to have work done to your car. I don't want to see anyone else get robbed or taken full advantage of the way I was. I contacted corporate and spoke to a lady by the name of shanna and she was absolutely no help even with submitting the additional repair estimates that they asked me to send in that the car still needed and also sent in my silver car receipts showing my financial losses from being conned out of my money by dennis, they instantly denied my claim saying that ther wasn't anyway to verify that the car didnt need all of the things it had done since I no longer have the car that wasn't useable. PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM TIRE CHOICE ON LINCOLN HIGHWAY 30 in MASSILLON. they will not help you nor have any sympathy for you and will steal your money. I took my van in to have the tire looked at it had something in it. It took them almost 4 hours to fix. They would work on it then stop when another customer would come in and then work on their vehicle. I will never come back again. I would give no stars if I could! read more

I took my granddaughter's car to Monro this summer to replace one tire which had a broken belt. It turned out all four tires were bad so I purchased four tires for her as she drives I-77 each day. The cost was close to $470. I was not offered one penny in discount for purchasing four tires instead of one. Other than that, they did a good job finding her tires, which Monro does not stock. read more

A year ago I went in for an oil change and the manager decided to take advantage of my car heat shield hanging issue. He said it will be $30 for labor and I asked him to give me cheaper which he rudely denied. The labor he mentioned was basically using the tool gun and screw it back to the bottom. That's it! The oil change for regular cheap service ended up costing over $60 and th wait was more than 1 hour and a half. A year later, same issue pop up and I went back there. He said it will be an you before he can even look at it even with 3 bays empty. And then I told him that with the receipt from last year and he said that he wil have to charge additional Lahr-'d the wait is 2 hour now Disgusting I went down to the Monroe by family video and they did it for free they even told me that between the 2 of us he got a lot of complaints. I took my car in to have my muffler checked. I was advised it was my driver side bearing that needs replaced. I advised Dennis that I just had the bearing replaced, but I was not sure which side. I asked for a print out of the issue and he told me he erased it. I asked if he could bring it back up, so I can let the previous mechanic know that there was still an issue. Dennis told me it would be $25 for the printout. I advised I have ever been charged for a printout before. he then stated that if I'm taking it somewhere else to get fixed, it will be $25 for the printout. I said never mind. I advised Dennis that I didn't say I was taking it somewhere else to be fixed. If it was the same one that was fixed before, why would I pay $377 to have it fixed again, when I am still under warranty from before? He then attempted to make the effort to print out the estimate. I declined and exited the location. I must say, I am very surprised by his behavior, because I usually have a great experience there. I am very disappointed and will not be going back. read more

What had the potential to be a road trip NIGHTMARE, turned out to be an easy and friendly experience at Monro Muffler Brake. We were on our way from Philadelphia to Canton and then up to Michigan and along the way started to feel some 'shaking' in the steering. Having no idea what was wrong (thought it would be just my 2002 Avalon needing a tire rotation) we dropped it off at Monro Muffler. The staff was friendly and gave us great deals on what turned out to be a near blown out tire. In addition to fixing the tire, they changed my overdue oil, refilled fluids, rotated the tires and anything else they could throw in, knowing we were on a roadtrip. The guys at Monro called us with updates, got the job done before the time we needed to get out of town, and cut us a break on labor costs. We cannot say enough good things about the service, price, and quality of Monro Muffler. Please give them your business! The are a great group of guys looking out for us out of towners! :-) If this place was in Philly, I would never think of going anywhere else. read more
