I was in town to return my mom's SUV to her as well as throw her a surprise birthday party! Naturally, I needed to take care of her precious vehicle before I left. Having little to no time to spare rushing around trying to prepare for the party, I yelped myself to an oil change place. No dice. Would be no oil change for me today. Then, I came across this place on yelp. Yes, it is a tire shop, but I noticed they had great reviews and also did other services! Pulled in, parked, walked inside, asked if they could squeeze me in, waited to hear the "no", and was told "sure, no problem we can do it right now!". YES! They told me 30-45 minutes and it took about 45 minutes. Perfect. I went on my merry way all oiled up with my fluids topped off. Thanks! read more

I am leaving this review everywhere and am filing a formal complaint regarding the service I received from this auto repair facility and its service manager, Anthony. I'm not sure if this was dishonesty or incompetence, I'm truly leaning towards dishonesty.  I brought my vehicle in after it broke down and was told the issue was a faulty fuel rail sensor. I was informed this was a major repair. Trusting their professional diagnosis, I authorized the work. I was later charged over $800 (plus labor) for replacement of this component. After the fact, I discovered that this specific part is widely available for approximately $17. I confirmed the exact part number through documentation and image matching. The markup alone is extreme and was never disclosed or explained prior to authorization. Shortly after this repair, the vehicle broke down again. I was then told the cause was carbon buildup, and was charged over $100 for what I was told was a fuel system cleaner treatment. This type of cleaner typically retails for only a few dollars. I was told I was only charged for one treatment, though the justification for the price remains unclear. I was then advised that if this did not resolve the issue, the next step would be a full engine teardown and cleaning, for which I was quoted over $1,500. Additional maintenance items such as tire replacement and an oil change were also recommended during this time. Due to growing concern about the accuracy of the diagnosis and the pricing of the repairs, I sought a second opinion. I have since taken the vehicle to another repair facility, where the previously installed part was inspected. I was informed by two independent mechanics that the part and/or prior repair did not meet expected quality standards. Both expressed concern regarding the pricing and work that had been performed. I have retained: - Repair invoices from your facility - Receipts for replacement parts - Written statements from two independent mechanics who inspected the vehicle Based on these findings, I will also be submitting this documentation to the Better Business Bureau and other appropriate consumer protection agencies for further evaluation. My goal in filing this complaint is to prevent other customers from experiencing similar service outcomes. read more

I made a yelp account for this review. I purchased the tires and installation from amazon. I was slotted for an appointment and arrived at 11:30. I was told it would take 1 1/2 hours for the install. I can back at 1:00 and the vehicle hadn't even moved from the parking spot. I asked if the vehicle was done and the front desk manager told me we haven't started it yet. I said it's been 1 1/2 hours and he just said okay will start now. Once they started it took 45 minutes to complete the service. Once they gave me my key they never apologized or even seemed to care that it took so long. This place is terrible and shouldn't get your money. read more

9:30am oil change/tire rotation appointment. Told it car would be about in bay in 30 minutes, when I arrived. Finally took car in around 11:20. I watched through the windows to see the tech take passenger side tires off. Took pictures and checked brakes. Then he popped to hood and started to lift the car for oil change. Other tech went by and slammed the hood. Tech got out and opened again, only to have other tech slam hood again. Changed oil and then lowered car to put tires on. Watched tech put passenger tires back on the same position. Asked manager to have them rotate. He then helped them rotate driver side. Left about 11:50. 2:20 minutes for 25 minutes of work with appointment. read more

This place is a total rip-off and has been for years. Every time I have gone here for repairs, at first everything is great. But then the old " you need this, you need that" junk starts..and whether it's on purpose or just sloppy work, more and more things don't function on your vehicle after it's been there.. I've had my air conditioner "broken" twice after other service was done and told I needed an expensive part...took it to another shop and it was a disconnected hose. Same thing happened to my husband's car..I wouldn't trust them as far as I could throw them. read more

After referencing the website pissedoffconsumer.com, it is reported that nationally, 56% of all consumer complaints about Monro Company come from Florida. I already called their consumer help line before this response was posted. Corporate did ultimately agree to return the $118 (as of this posting the money has not yet been returned). Monro headquarters contacted Todd directly to confirm what happened. Todd lied to headquarters saying my mother's car required a tow truck to get to his shop in Melbourne. That was a lie; my mother drove in. Even when confronted by corporate, Todd is untruthful. Be careful if going here, even corporate can't help you! read more

Very dishonest, I will not be returning. Here's why: I went in the other day to get my oil changed. A little back story: my driver's side window was in the process of breaking, and had been up for months with no issues, I saw it as more of a luxury than a need, and didn't have the funds to get it fixed. It was fine being up, so I didn't think it was something that I need to mention. I was just getting an oil change, they shouldn't have anything to do with my window. Being the only car there, I waited about 45 minutes for them to finish everything. They told me it was ready, so I went up and paid with the assistant manager and went out to my car. I noticed that my window was down, which seemed strange to me. So I walked back in and said something about it how it was breaking and I was worried it wouldn't go back up. The same guy I paid, walks out with me and I start up my car, sure enough my window doesn't go back up. I explained how it has been up for months, and I had to request that he puts it back up and just leaves it the way it was. He had to check with the manager before he did anything. So they took it back in and I waited while they put it up. They rigged it with pieces of cardboard in between my door and window to keep the window up, and wire was sticking through the top of my window as well. Like I said, it had been up for a while with no issues. Their fix looked trashy, and it still wasn't completely up. I could feel wind from outside coming in, and it was going to be a rainy weekend. I was talking with the manger, and he explained the regulator was broken and I'd have to get an entirely new part. He told me he could offer me a discount on it, but the total cost would be over $600 including parts and labor, and that was WITH the discount. I went somewhere else, and they were able to do a fantastic job in less than 2 hours for $283, parts and labor included. I understand that things break, and my window was getting there so it was bound to happen eventually. But there are two things that bother me about this experience. 1. They were obviously trying to over charge me by more than double what it should cost to get it fixed. 2. Whoever rolled down my window, obviously noticed it wasn't rolling back up and never said a word to me. The tech that rolled it down would have noticed, and the assistant manager that drove my car around front for me would have noticed, and neither said a word. Did they think I wouldn't notice my window wouldn't go back up? The fact that no one said a word to me is what really bothers me. They seem very dishonest in that sense, and I feel cheated out of my money. However, the price was fair for the oil change. But after this experience, I will not be returning. read more
