Very limited experience with this local Firestone so far, but I plan to check back in once I have a genuine repair or service performed. I can tell you that I had my 2013 car with 150k miles give me a few sputters like it was going to stall. Brought it over first thing that Saturday morning and they checked it out in under 3 hours. Was very impressed that when they didn't find anything on the diagnostic stuff, they did not try to tell me I needed unnecessary work done. That's typically a sign of an honest establishment which goes A LONG WAY with me. Hopefully they won't disappoint me in the future, but I've got a good feeling about them. read more

I went in for a routine brake job. The mechanic was perturbed since Coastal Hyundai broke the inside parts on my driver's door, so that it was rendered useless. I had to enter my vehicle from the passenger side! They refused to fix what they broke! This mechanic fixed my door BEFORE he worked on my brakes. Yeah, I had to pay for the parts, but he went out of his way to make good on Coastal's mistake! I was very impressed since he did not appreciate that the dealership had done a customer wrong which gives mechanics a bad rap. Thanks for going above and beyond for me! Will, the manager, was very pleasant and very helpful. These guys at Firestone are fantastic. They tell you exactly what's wrong with your car and even show you pictures to prove something is wrong. They don't try to sell you things you don't need. They do the work fantastically their prices are compatible to everybody else's sometimes even less. I have been using Firestone for years, the one on South Babcock Street the people that work there are honest and extremely helpful. Do not use these guys for anything the will try to rip you off. Went to get my mother ac serviced as manufactured suggest every 2 years. My ac blows cold but yet they tried to sell they tried telling my mom she needed 1200 bucks in work done to her ac system and was not willing to show me with the black light to see this leak they claimed she had. I tried to use this business, drove 12 miles from Palm Bay to do so (because no openings in the Palm Bay location), only to find out that my appointment request (by phone one day before) "did not go through". The specified location did not even have me in the system, although I did speak to an actual person to set it up. If making an appointment is so automated and goes through so many channels that it gets lost in the shuffle, it doesn't help the consumer one bit! The mgr intervened, but rather than offering an apology for the mix-up and showing willingness to get the minor task on the car seen to, I heard the opposite: "Not sure if we can have the issue taken care of....we are fully booked today....not enough staff, etc etc". Since that did not instill confidence in me that my car was left in good hands, I left, never to return again. P.S.: To top it off, about 2 hours after this very unpleasant encounter, I received an (automated) e-mail, informing me that I would "need to reschedule". Ha.Ha. read more

We brought the car in for an alignment, tire check and oil change. Two new tires were installed and oil change was done but we did not see or hear about the alignment. The invoice was not very clear so not even sure if done. Car was ready when we got back to the Firestone but nothing was explained regarding the invoice or services rendered. We were also disappointed that even with an appointment, the car was not on the rack for 45 min. Then the order for two new tires took an additional 90 minutes. My family and I were visiting the Melbourne area when my car wouldn't start. The battery had come loose so the connections were not tight. So you walk outside, to-do list in hand, Get to your car and it is deader than a door nail. Ugh! Won't start, won't crank, it's raining cats and dogs, OK how is this going to turn out. Fortunately my roadside assistance was still valid, after about a half hour tow truck came out and gave me a jumpstart. Meanwhile I called "Andy" over at fire stone service center, which I did a quick search on Google maps and found they were open until 6 PM. It's going on four. Andy had an uplifting attitude, did a quick check to see if they had my particular battery in stock, they did, we close at six come in as soon as you can and we'll take care of you. Already feeling better. Tow truck arrived, jumpstart was successful, car kept running, headed to Firestone. Parked out front left it running. Walk inside and said i'm the guy who called about the dead battery? Andy says oh yes I was just telling her to expect you... pointing at the woman behind the counter, Dee. Within a few minutes one of the technicians came out and got in my car and drove it into a service bay. I took care of paperwork with Dee at the desk and was very nice and had a nice attitude. I sat down in the lobby, watched a little TV for about 15 or 20 minutes, and boom, Dee says Bobby you're all set. Wow that was quick. She punched up my receipt and entered a coupon, good price. Dee sent me off with a smile. Got into my car, noticed all of my tire pressures had been brought up to the proper level. As I drove past the business in the rain, I looked for the technician in the service bay to give him a smile and thumbs up, but I didn't see him. So please someone give him a pat on the back. Very satisfied with this Firestone in Melbourne! Ordered new tires for my Ram last Wednesday and scheduled them for installation on Thursday. Got there with the truck a few minutes before the appointment. Asked them to also check the alignment while putting on the new tires. Had to wait on truck and it was done in about an hour and 20 minutes!! I had planned on THREE hours and to have it done in half the time was amazing. People were all very nice! James Russo was the mechanic and deserves a good shout out as well. The truck drives GREAT! Very happy. read more

Had an appointment for an alignment. My vehicle was taken back right away. I was quoted an hour and they finished in half the time. That was a pleasent suprise since most places are always running behind. I know it's a shop but my only request would be a nicer waiting area and a good cleaning. This morning I made an appointment for an oil change, tire rotation and wheel alignment at the Melbourne Babcock location for 10AM. When I arrived at location, the man working there before I even said what I was doing there greeted me strangely. I did not get his name, so forgive me for my description. He was a while male, about 50, dark hair balding, crooked eyeglasses. The man who is usually there (African American man) is always extremely friendly and the only reason I kept doing business with you. The man today insisted that I did not have an appointment and did not even want to listen to what I had to say. I asked him if this was the 1441 S Babcock location to make sure that I was at the correct location. I then asked him if he wanted my reservation # which he told me was meaningless and could not help him. What is the sense of giving a reservation number if it has no meaning on your computer system? When I spoke to customer care she confirmed the number could not be pulled up on any of their computers, so why give it? He did say begrudgingly that I can leave my car but it was going to take a very long time. I told him the wait was not a problem because my wife was here to drive me home but I again asked about my appointment but he would not even discuss it. I asked him to look under my wife's name since for some reason the account has her name on it, even though I have asked the last 4 times for them to change it. On Black Friday I spent well over a grand on tires, a new battery and the packages for whee alignments and rotation. The last time I brought it they said they couldn't do the alignment because of a tie rod. The time before they said I would need a whole transition flush. Is the "free alignment" just a trap to get you to have to spend hundreds of dollars each time? Well it doesn't matter because this rude man wouldn't even honor my appointment. I've attached a copy of my email to prove that I had an appointment but I've been told twice already today it doesn't matter. There is no reason for me to be spoken down to or treated improperly. I would place 0 stars if that were the option. Went in there for an oil change. Not only is the oil change overpriced but also they don't perform the checks the Nissan dealer does for FREE along with a normal synthetic oil change that would have found the evaporator filter was clogged. What made matters worse is they did not connect my battery correctly when they did their battery test which caused unusual electrical activity and my power outlet not to work. I was in Orlando the next day doing multiple pickups for great computer deals and was left with a cellphone that wasn't charging and dying. I wasn't able to perform a pickup that day for a great deal because I didn't have enough battery left on my phone. I went in on Friday because of all the problems which they should have found but did not find and their idiot manager who is dumb as bricks denied that they did anything wrong. THIS PLACE IS A SHAM AND IS RUN BY IDIOTS!!! DON'T GIVE THEM YOUR BUSINESS. TURN AROUND AND GO TO THE DEALER FOR EVERYTHING EVEN IF SOME SERVICES COST MORE. I also paid for an inpection and I get feeling they simply checked the box and didnt even look at the car. I got over $1000 worth of brake work and rotors done in 10/13. For a full year my brakes squeked and sounded like the rotors were scrapping. They looked at it twice and said the brakes just needed to break in. Thank God for Tires Plus on Wickham Rd. They had to work on them twice at no charge because they are owned by the same company bit even though they weren't making any money it they fixed the problem...at No Charge. There obvious mistakes and short cuts taken on my car that put me and my family at jeopardy because their guys were too tired and in a hurry. Now I will only let the guys at Tires Plus on Wickham Rd work on my car even though they are over 15 miles away from me. Steve, Mike and Bob are the best. These people squeezed us in when we were down there visiting from NC, and had a faulty ac. I knew I would be driving lots of people around, who were all in town for our wedding. They made room in their schedule and my awesome dad was there at 7 am to take them up on it. They found a tiny faulty little something (!) and replaced it and we have been SOOOOO grateful ever since!! I took my daughters 2001 SUV to this Firestone to have the oil changed. I knew I had a small oil leak and asked Alex (customer service person) if in the process of changing the oil could they tell me where the leak was. They were busy that morning but He and a mechanic named Eric took the time show me where it was leaking and explain what was involved in fixing it. Was it what I wanted to hear? May 31st, 2015. Was hesitant after reading the first bad review. But because money was already paid to Gerber Collision and they sent me here to get the alignment. It was Sunday (dead day as they had just one car). Jose was the person and after one hour they return my car without alignment saying it is ok for the car to pull to one side. So he is telling me that a new car after collision pulling to a side is ok and before the accident, when it was driving straight so WAS IT BUILT WRONG by the FACTORY ?
