On our return trip from the Triple Crown of Rodding in Tennessee our trailer had a blow out in Wamsutter. We pulled into a Love's station only to be told they didn't have the right equipment for the repairs we needed. Went online and found Tire Den and called them about 5:20 pm realizing we were about an hour out (nursing the trailer along the road) and they were closing at 6:00 pm. Spoke with Jon and he said that they have an after hours tech that would be available when we got there. We made it to Tire Den in Rock Springs about 6:10 pm and Jon and Bo were just heading out as we pulled up. Jon called the after hours tech (Joey) and had him come down to meet us. As we waited for Joey, Jon and Bo had us pull the trailer inside and they both started evaluating the damage. Jon and Bo ended up staying and helping Joey complete the job. All three went the extra mile either by staying late and helping (Jon & Bo), or by hustling down and getting the job done (Joey). They went through all the tires, replaced the spare we had, sold us an extra spare, replaced the other two tires that needed replacing and realized that the main tire we had consistent problems with was missing a spindle nut retainer and went to see if they had one in stock. Jon came back with an extra nut to try and double nut it because they didn't have the spindle retainer in stock, but that didn't work either, so we were just going to make due without it (we had been doing it that way the whole trip unknown to us) when Jon shows back up at the trailer 15 minutes later with the spindle nut retainer we needed. He actually went outside to the "bone yard" and searched through old parts and found one. Telling you that these dudes (Jon, Bo, & Joey) were clutch for us is an understatement. We tried Love's (they didn't have the tools apparently, but they also offered no suggestions, and damn sure no effort like going to the "bone yard"), we tried three other numbers (including being left on hold for 25 minutes), but Tire Den kept it simple with what they offer (regular business hours & after hours technician) in this stretch of Country where tire repair is critical. In a time where most businesses are short staffed and over worked, Tire Den has managed to not only stay staffed, but staffed with solid ass men who take pride in helping with hours that support the kind of stranded folks like ourselves. They also employ the kind of solid people that make recommendations (both Jon & Bo at separate times diagnosed a possible bent axle and recommended getting the trailer aligned once we made it home to California) that had nothing to do with extra money for them, but everything to do with the long term health of the trailer and our safety towing it. 20 hours into the drive from San Francisco to our upcoming wedding in Michigan, we discovered an alarming failure in the sidewall of our rear tire - a pocket or bubble of rubber was distended out the side. Thank god we were passing through Rock Springs - this truck stop town has about 10 different tire shops. The first four we called didn't have the tiny tires our Prius C needs in stock. But two of them referred us to The Tire Den separately and made a point of mentioning what good, nice people they were over there. They had he tire size we needed, and they gave it to us at a rally great price, got us back on the road in less than an hour, and even let us bring our dog into their office to chill on the couch while we waited. If not for them, we would have had to pay the place we visited first to replace all four tires with slightly larger ones... $650! And taken a hit on our mpg, too. These guys are awesome. Came here because of the great reviews, and now I can add another. I blew a tire the night before, got it fixed with my spare, but needed another to continue on with a spare. Pulled in here, and they put the new tire on and got us out of there in no time. We were back on the road by 9am, and that's with stopping for coffee and breakfast before the tire shop. Some employees in this business need to work on their attitude and people skills. After asking for better quality tires and offering to make a call to our fleet management company to re-approve the transaction I was met with the grouchiest tone and language before he even searched to see if they had the tires in stock. We were brought to the Tire Den by Wild Card Towing (AWESOME). Three minutes before they closed! So, the young guy comes from the garage and says...Yeah, we close in 3 minutes, let me pull you into the garage (and we will take care of it in the morning is what I am thinking) and we should have you out of here in a few minutes. WHAT!!??? They had us out in 10 minutes, swapped and paid for! These guys are awesome and at a reasonable price. Good experience all around! And then they pointed us to right place to stay/eat/drink. Where do I start? Amazing service, friendly service provider! Josh was such a wonderful help. We had to wait 6 and a half hours for a tow. Then got towed for an hour to be met by over the top service and kindness. He even recommended a great burger place for a late dinner. We were in and out in less than an hour.
