Also come to find out they charge mostly the labor because we found the parts I needed online for $215. (My quote was almost $1600 not including the money they robbed me of) They said they still needed to charge me ($217) because they topped off (it wasn't empty) and recharge my ac. I didn't ask them to do either of those things, just to run a diagnostic which I would have paid for if there was a cost for that, no problem. I asked the man at the counter if doing those things was going to temporarily help with the cold air and he said yes. A lie. Come to find out because my issue is my compressor, recharging and adding more Freon was a total waste of time and money. That's $217 wasted on something I didn't even ask them to do. I imagine they won't be willing to refund me so all I can do is try to help someone else to STAY AWAY FROM THIS BUSINESS!!!

I asked them what temp it tests to now? They looked at me puzzled, so I even had to explain to the tech. Then, they brought out the antifreeze tester, but sorry, it busted - all they could say was bring it back in a week when we have another tester? Seriously, so after I returned and pulled out the photo I had taken right after the engine cooled at my home. I tested with my antifreeze tester. It showed only to 0 degrees F! Showed it to the tech back at Valolene- his only reply was Well, ok, it doesn't get cold around here anyway! I then asked for my money back, but he immediately declined, so I drove to Jiffy Lube down the street. They pulled the upper radiator hose hooked up their PRESSURE machine pushing all coolant through the radiator & heater core and engine - then out the unattached upper radiator hose. This is the only way to throughly replace the old fluid. No vacuum garbage there! I checked the antifreeze before adding it, and yes, good to -35F as it should be when done correctly! Stay far AWAY FROM VALVOLINE as possible , terrible service, extremely ignorant and rude! Cooling systems are only positive pressure, any negative pressure can hurt gaskets within the cooling systems. The staff was very rude and obviously did not care. Terrible service so stay away! I called the V headquarters and registered a complaint, was given a case # and was told I would hear back - well good luck with that, as of today the Aug 24 still waiting- that says something about the company! FYI Below you will see their invoice, then my HOME freez point of theeir service (since they had no instrument to use?) The full synthetic was just over $100 which is reasonable. I have used this firm with all of my vehicles since moving to Maryville a few years ago. I would rather support a local firm than national franchised oil change facility. Let's keep all of the money in Maryville! My observation is that for the first time ever, they did not clean my windshield. Not a big deal, but I'd come to expect it. There were 3 or 4 employees and no other customers. Has there been a change of policy and they no longer clean windshields? How long could it take... a minute?

I searched the internet and found out it might be the (EATC) the electronic dash controller so I purchased one an replaced it myself, well that let it work for a few days. So I'm back to square 1, so I found out it could be the Blend door actuator, this Item opens and closes the doors under the dash that adjust the Climate Control in the Car, basically the AC/Heater settings so once again I order the part and find out how to change it out on the internet. 2 days of pulling the dash apart and got it done. Great ! AC for a few more days Bang it goes Hot again NO AC so after this I was totally stumped so for course I had to wait a bit and put it in the Shop so I took it to a local reputable shop and they Found a leak in my Upper AC hose, so they fix it but the only thing was it took them 10 days to get the hose because of Part supply chain issues, but they got it fixed a recharged Yay!! Right ? Wrong 10 days later it just starts blowing hot again. At this point I'm like Bull%^*&, and a couple more *&^%^%^. So I took it back to the shop the said they were stumped too. I had told them I changed the Blend door not long before I brought it to them, so they didn't check that again and they told me to take to another shop or the dealer that might have a better Idea about what was going on with the AC. So of course I was looking for to spending the Money I knew was going to be alot, mainly because the whole dash was gonna have to be removed to get to the core of the problem. OK here is were my actual review starts, I start looking for a few places that specialize in Auto AC but most of them were miles away in Knoxville so I was a little disappointed the next day I got a coupon card in the Mail from CarFix auto repair in Maryville so I looked it over and called them. I was Professionally Greeted by Cade Larkin one of the service writers there he was very helpful and encourage me to bring it to them. And he said they would find out what the problem was, so I told him I would be there the next Day. I was greeted quickly all of the crew there are very Professional. Cade took my key and the check out was being done, I was expecting it to be quick and I would just be on my way back home, still driving a hot car. Well they quickly found what the problem was, apparently...the blend door actuator had failed I guess it a common thing with some electronic parts. So I remembered how long it took me to change it the first time under the shade tree,, 2 Days sweating !!! So cade gave me and estimate and assured me it would be fixed and that the part would be under Warranty for 3 years and believe the labor was included in the Warranty for there service, so its like 95 degrees outside Id had enough of driving around in a hot car!! And I told Cade lets get it done, I told him I would wait a bit. He was very attentive he kept me informed of the progress. He told they could give ma shuttle ride home, but I ask if they had Loaner cars. He went out of his way to get one returned early for me. I had brought the car in around 9:30 am at the point that I left was about 12:45PM with the Loaner car. I was gonna do a few errands but decided to go home and get a Nap. At around 2pm I received a call from Cade telling me I could come get my Car!!!! The reason I tell my story is it was the Friday before the 4th of July weekend, this CarFix location was Great!!!! And they even put my New Car Tag on for me. This place is my new go to for car maintenance and repair when I need Service on my car again. Thank YOU Cade and CARFIX!!!!!!

He went and got the fluid i needed and put it in for me.
