I recognize you guys work really hard on customer service which is why I continue to do business with you. With that said, PLEASE fix your digital communication problem! I coordinated a ride to be picked up after dropping off the vehicle for 4 new tires. After receiving a text saying that the vehicle is ready, I coordinated another ride to be dropped off to the shop only to be told that the vehicle is actually not ready. Once the tires were installed, it triggers a text to customers saying that the vehicle is ready. However, this is a false alert as it now has to go for an alignment. As I'm sitting in the lobby, I watched another customer show up after receiving the same text message and was told the same thing. They were not happy about it and left again. Your employees are well aware that this is a communication problem. Please make customers aware up front so that they do not drive back prematurely. read more

I had called this place looking for some used rims and talked with Clayton over the phone to make sure they had what I was looking for. he insured me that they did and told me to come on in so I drove an hour out of my way just to get there and him tell me he didn't have any used rims only new and kept trying to sell me on financing a brand new set. told him thanks for wasting my time. other employees might be decent people, but my experience with Clayton was not pleasant. do not recommend! read more

Needed a tire balance for a 600 mile trip on short notice. If you count what time it took for me to drive to the shop and get back home, it was an hour. The shop was super clean, very fast and everyone was very nice. I will definitely be back when I need to get new tires for our jeep. My experience with Discount Tire was extraordinary from beginning to end. I had a slash in my tire, ended up needing 3 of the 4 replaced. They didn't have the tires in stock but were able to get them from their other store, same day! Andrew was incredibly helpful, knowledgeable, and on top of things from beginning to end. He had my car out hours before promised, then recognized and approached me with my keys right as I pulled up to pick my car up. One of the worst experiences with waiting time and communication. I scheduled an appointment a couple days ahead to get 4 new tires put on. Upon arrival they stated it would take about an hour and stated having it aligned would take a little longer. 4 hours later I am leaving. They did not communicate any extra labor needed or cost until time to leave. They stated the technician was supposed to call before making the alignment fix, an extra $200. They apologized, charged me, and sent me on my way. I would not recommend. Shop around and keep in mind they don't value your time and money. read more

I stopped by to have my tires rotated. I purchased them at Discount Tire and they offer free rotations. The employee looked over my tires, and said to come back the next day. He could not do it that day. I asked if another location could fit me in, he said no. I called the Farragut location. They fit me in and rotated them in 30 minutes. read more

I have used Discount Tire for many years in my local area of Virginia on my 4 cars. Recently my wife had an issue with one of my tires while she was called to Tennessee for a medical emergency with her parents. Chris and Adam were unbelievably helpful to get my wife's car tire replaced when they could not repair it, all in record time so my wife could make it to the hospital. These two went above and beyond to make sure our car was safe so she could help out her ailing parents at the hospital. As a first time customer, I put in a lot of time researching before deciding on Discount Tire. Most of the reviews I'd read were sincere across several platforms, and largely above average. Still, I held on to some reservations. Due to the fact it would be at least 4 days before i could obtain an appointment, I decided to walk-in first thing when the location opened the following morning. Bryce was the salesperson that had greeted me as I exited my car. Extremely professional, straight away he began asking how he could be of service. I mentioned the vehicle was strictly for "Dashing", and would accumulate a lot of miles. The set of tires I'd picked out online weren't available, but Bryce was able to actually find a better tire for about the same price. After receiving my receipt, my anticipated wait time was roughly one hour. I was pleasantly surprised, actually shocked, when Derrick had my vehicle ready and detailed within 30 minutes! Who does that?! The detail was basic, but it was a nice touch, as the vehicle is not much to look at :) This is my first review on Yelp, if that says anything, these guys truly are exceptional. Everyone that I spoke to was kind and courteous but the customer service was abysmal. The store didn't have the tires needed so they were ordered and a appointment time was set up for 5 days later to have them installed. I drove out to the store 5 days later and was told that the tires hadn't come in yet. The drive is about 30 min for me and they had my number on file so it was a little frustrating that they didn't call me to reschedule the appointment. But mistakes happen. I was told that they would contact the delivery company to see what the hold up was and then they would be in touch the next day to set up a new appointment. 2 days passed and I didn't hear anything so I gave the store a call and the same person answered and remembered me. They told me that they had asked someone else to contact the delivery company but they didn't. I was told they would contact the delivery company immediately and give me a call back in ten minutes. Over 24 hours passed and I still didn't get a call back so I called again to see if the tires had come in and they still hadn't. At this point I had already paid for these tires over a week ago and was given no indication of when they might be received. I felt like I was having to hound them over this and was getting no answers so I just canceled the order. read more
