It's actually California law that gas stations are required to provide free gas and water when you buy gasoline. On the rare occasions I've tried to ask for either in the LA area, the gas station attendant acts like I might as well be asking for the earth and the moon. Then midway through they'll shut it off, so I'll have to go back, they'll begrudgingly turn it on again, and I'll have to go back to my car and so on and so forth... With the employees here, it's completely the opposite! Because I wanted to use Apple Pay inside they let me fill up my tank first and then allowed me to pay for it later. Imagine doing that in LA! When I asked about air, one of the mechanics actually checked each of my tires for me and even went underneath the car to grab a valve-cap that I had dropped. And they waved us goodbye and thanked us for coming! No, thank YOU!! This station deserves ALL the Mobil awards! PS. The gas was cheaper than the other stations in the area!

Then it was taken over by the current owner, who somehow managed to fire the entire experienced crew-some with decades here-and replace them with people who can't do half the work this place advertises. Basic services that were once routine are now apparently "not something we do," which is an interesting business model for a service bay. The new staff seem confused, undertrained, and completely out of their depth. It takes real talent to ruin a business this thoroughly, but here we are. If you're remembering how good this place used to be, save yourself the disappointment. That version is long gone.

They immediately identified the problem as a worn tie rod ending! ordered the part it arrived on time they replaced the tie rod ending no more shimmy, they rotated all my tires on their computerized rotation machine. The machine was wonderful. It described where the imbalance was on the wheel and the technician was able to correct immediately. the car moved to the laser guided computerized Hunter alignment rack to find my front alignment was out of specification. The alignment computer displayed exactly what the measurements for my vehicle were and how to correct them. 10 minutes later done to better understand what had happened I took a picture of the screen on the computer with the new dimensions and I cut and pasted it into the question line for GROK AI program and asked GROK to explain the results! Holy crap I think I got a masters degree in front end alignment in terms that I could understand wow everything is great. Looking forward to getting 400 K. Recently I took my car here (where I've gotten tires multiple times in the past) to have my tire…read morepressure censors replaced. I came here because their quote was nearly half what my regular mechanic quoted. That's the only good part. I brought my car in and was told the service would take about 45 minutes. It was returned to me in only about 30 minutes, which I thought was a positive at the time....would later discover this was more a sign of trying to do a job too fast and not getting it right. When I picked up my car, I was told the low tire pressure dash light would stay on for another 20 minutes and then reset and turn off, and that my display would return to showing the pressure readings in all tires.....not true. I drove the car home to Atascadero...light stayed on and censors still not showing pressures. I later ran an errand to Santa Maria (at least 60 min round trip)....censors still not reset. I had to drive back to their location in Paso to have them address it; turns out the technician did not push the reset button that's under the steering column. Then, the next day, two of my tires were nearly flat. My husband checked and both were leaking air, which he said was because the valve stems were not tightened enough, something the store can only do properly. So back again I go (now third trip for same issue). The front desk staff said they would inspect all four tires and address any issues found. They tried to return it after addressing only one of the tires that had been leaking air. It was only after my husband insisted AGAIN that they check all of the tires, which they finally did and agreed there was a second tire that was leaking air. Given that I was trading in the vehicle that very week (for a new car purchase) and needed a dash without warning lights, this repeated failure to do a thorough job caused me so much stress that I will never return here for any servicing again. Clearly the staff are not fully attentive to (and trying to rush through) their tasks.

Auto Limits shows with 5 stars, and it's located so close to me. I called them, made an appointment, and they gave me a reasonable quote. That morning, I dropped it off, and John said it would be ready by 2pm. Well, before 2pm, i received a call that it could be picked up. Not only that, it was nearly a $100 lower than the estimate "...because it was checked, and wasn't needed"...wow. I love it. What makes up for a little messy / fugly office, they are nice, honest, and give good service. Again, love it.
