I wanted to recognize Jason at this location who went above and beyond to ensure I was taken care of. First of all I had called around various places to try and get my Tundra in for a winter change out. Everyone stated that they were not able to get me in. I called this store and Jason was extremely accommodating and stated he could get us taken care of. The price was so much better than other locations. Lastly he treated me as if I had been a long time customer. I will definitely bring my vehicles to this shop in the future as I will soon be doing my daughter's winter change out and will also be in the market for new tires for my dad's truck. So, when I arrived way later in the day than I planned, I was expecting a full day wait. But he called just a couple hours later to let me know my seasonal tire switch was complete. I have been a customer of this place for probably close to 12 years, 15 years overall with different Tire Rama locations in the area. After todays incident I will no longer be coming here. 2 weeks ago my wife scheduled an oil/tire replacement for November 14th. We live an hour from Tire Rama so driving in takes some planning. Upon arrival I approached the front desk and told them I'm here for my 8am appointment. They proceeded to tell me they don't do appointments for oil changes or tire changes this time of year. I contacted my wife via FaceTime so she could witness the nonsense. Needless to say I was very unhappy. They told me they didn't have an appointment scheduled for us, I became very angry. The two men behind the counter then refused to do my oil change and tire change because of my attitude. Driving in from our home isn't easy, it takes planning which is the reason we called 2 weeks ago. I changed my demeanor and asked again, nicely, before I left and they said "give me your keys". At this point due to weather and other options I really had no choice but to get the tires and oil changed. I will not be coming here again after today. I would recommend going to Dave Smith in Kellogg, Idaho for vehicle work or Costco for tires. After 15 years of coming here and thousands of dollars spent on tires, rims, oil changes, etc this type of nonsense shouldn't be taking place. I am not always the easiest person to deal with if things don't go as planned. If I call a place to schedule an appointment and they confirm that appointment via email the day prior one would think that appointment should happen as planned. This Tire Rama location needs to figure out to operate properly and get on the same page. It seems as if things have changed for the worse since the older gentle that worked behind the counter stopped working here. I will be inspecting my vehicle before I leave to make sure they did the work "scheduled" and didn't mess with anything else. Its sad our community has come to this. read more

If I could give zero stars I would. I went on line to get a quote on tires. It came back with a great price. Except the price that was quoted was for a tire that had been discontinued 10 months ago. No where on the quote does it say that it's limited to stock on hand. When we stopped in the store to get tires that's when we were told that. And the replacement for that tire was 3 times as much. After talking to the manager all I got was sorry but the website people made an error. Oh....and I tried the quote with two different emails and got the same quote. Would be 5 stars if I wasn't told it would be a 6-7 hour wait when I dropped off at 10AM, (that would have been fine I live down the road) and then call 20 minutes before they closed at 6pm to be told they're keeping my car overnight since they didn't get to it. I had to have someone else drive me to work the next day across town, and then I never received a call that my car was done so it sat there again till closing almost. I get it you're busy but it would be great to be kept in the loop about things I was never informed what was going on with my car unless I called them to ask. read more

I had called and spoke to a man named Greg, very nice man. Explained to him that I needed all my lights replaced on my mazda. Gave him all my information, and he told me it was going to cost me $110. I was so happy to hear this, and came in the next week. Dropped off my car, returned to pick it up and boom! $240!!!! no one called to explain the increase or reason for price difference instead they left me with this hefty unreasonable bill. I had no other choice to pay it. when I called back after a few shed tears, all I got was rude remarks from Steve saying they had to take the whole front end off to replace. I just couldnt handle his tone, thanked him and the hung up. I'm writing this to prevent anyone else from choosing them and making this price gouging mistake. 10/10 do NOT recommend read more

I'm local, and have lived here in Spokane for a good portion of my adult life. I've been to many tire stores here in Spokane, and have found Tire-Rama on Holland Ave., to be the best among them all. For me, my interaction with them began when my front left tire started losing air. The warning light was on in my car, and they were the closest to where I happened to be driving. I asked them if they could please fill my tire with air, and explained that the light had come on. I apologized, explaining that I don't get my tires from them, or even have my tires changed there, and they didn't mind. I offered to pay for the service of filling my tire, and they wouldn't hear of it. Well, guess what, a couple of weeks later, the same thing happened, low air, and I was once again in their vicinity. I pulled in, told them the same story, they checked my tires, and didn't even try to sell me new ones, or tell me that I should get the one I have fixed. They just checked it over, filled it up, and told me to come back if it happens again, and they'd gladly work with me on getting a new tire. They explained that I could just buy one to match the others on my car, and that they wouldn't try to talk me into 2 or 4 new tires. I was shocked by the honesty. It's not commonplace to find that amount of honesty at a tire store, or a mechanic business, especially when you're a woman. You ladies out there know exactly what I'm talking about too! Those places usually see a woman coming in and they see dollar signs. Tire-Rama treated me differently. They treated me respectfully. Sure enough a few weeks later, my tire was acting up, but this time it was winter season, so I made an appointment and went in to get my winter tires on. I explained that one of my regular tires was still losing air, and was told that come Spring, they'd work with me to help me fix it or replace it, unless I wanted to do it now. I couldn't afford to do both a winter tire change over, and get a new tire, at that time. So I waited. Spring came, I bought a new tire, and Tire-Rama has been my tire store ever since. These guys are trustworthy. They don't push you, or lie to get more business. I respect that. If I ever see that change, I wont hesitate to say so, because I don't stay where honest is a rarity. One more thing, and for me, it's a pretty big one. I went through cancer treatment. Being in crowds of people during this time is not a good idea for anybody but especially for me. Tire places don't make appointments usually, not just for a tire change. However, when I told them my circumstances, they broke their rule and made an appointment for me, so I wouldn't have to sit and wait to get in. They even offered to take me home, if I needed a ride. I had a ride arranged already but was still thankful for the offer. I think Tire-rama is pretty awesome. They truly have a heart. Their moms, wives, and daughters should be proud of them. It was a few days back during my usual routine, I stepped out of the house to go to the gym only to be met with a flat front tire. The very first time since we moved to US. And the gym routine converted to the tire changing routine. I have done it a few times in past but this time was different. As soon as I looked at the spare tire I felt as if someone had switched it with a scooter's .. it was so small and so thin .. Never knew that this was pretty much the standard here .. and never ever in a 1000 years would have thought that my car could actually run on that .. but google told me that it would .. Oh, btw I tried to plug the tire .. and it did work but the puncture was quite substantial and it had to be patched .. so, I took it to Tire-Rama the next morning. Upon arriving I was told that there is a specific area on the tire where only they patch it up .. mine was marginally outside but they agreed to do it. Everything else was super .. estimated time given .. service .. the person I talked to .. and just a casual walk-in no appointment needed. read more

Didn't have any proms with my transmission until Tire Rama A.k.a. Alton's said they're not responsible for any thing. I used to work for Alton's I know how they work when they make a mistake. Tire Rama will not except responsibility for what they did. So if you take your car to Tire Rama you are risking your life if you depend on that car for your job. I cannot stress enough this place is a joke one store will tell you one thing you take it to another store to get another opinion and the other store will tell you something else. I have been taking my car to this Tire Rama for a few years now, and they have always had exceptional service, but they have really outdone themselves this time! A few weeks ago, I took my car in because it was overheating. They replace the thermostat, no big deal. Until it started overheating again this week. Irritated, I called and scheduled another appointment. I wasn't rude, but I insisted that the diagnostic be free because they didn't catch it the first time. Today I picked up my car- not only was it not their fault (the sensors were corroded and were giving false data), but even after I apologized and offered to pay full price on the fix, they still didn't charge me a dime! I've been taking my car to this location for over 5 years. I got started by purchasing a set of tires from them and over time they've become my go-to place for all my automotive needs. They don't just take care of my seasonal tire changes, they change my oil and do any other repairs and upkeep I need. This has ranged from a pretty severe leak in one of my hoses to recently working on my brakes. I'm an older, single women and have heard horror stories about women being taken advantage of when they take their cars in for repair. This is where I get my oil changed, tires and brakes checked. They have taken care of my car for 10 years since I moved to Spokane. I have purchased Tires from them also . The staff seems to know their business and I feel I am getting an honest price for the work my car requires. Their recommendations make sense. Their location is excellent. Plenty of parking and within walking distance of The Station an excellent coffee house on Nevada St. The coffee house is a great place to wait while they work on my car. Started good, ended badly. The guy seemed nice and the price seemed reasonable. We left our car telling them the dash lights were on, there was grinding and popping, and to please inspect the brake system. We picked it up a half hour before they closed, taking off early from work to do it. When we had paid and got out to the car, the dash lights were still on. The counter guy seemed rushed and kind of rude saying we never told him to look at the abs light. Yeah, don't bother looking at the brake system whilst fixing the brake system. Then, checking around a bit, this is common practice at tire rama. Most people told me they had bad experiences and that the proces were high. read more
