Have taken my vehicles to clarks the last few years. Always have great customer service! The guys at the front are always welcoming . Chris, the owner has personally made sure we were taken care of. I truly can't say enough good things about Clark's. They have saved me twice now! The first time I had my two year old with me, showed up with a flat in a panic with an over-tired kiddo, and they were able to replace all of my tires (which were shot) in an hour. The second time I woke up to a flat from a screw an hour before we were supposed to leave town to see family for Christmas. I drove straight to Clark's thinking that our trip would have to be delayed. They were BUSY but somehow fixed my tire in 15 minutes at NO charge and told me to get on the road! The price quote was more than doubled from what I was quoted a week ago. I give the go ahead because I've already waited a week and budgeted the time. They kept my car all day and then told me that they couldn't fix it because I didn't bring them all the parts. They said that they needed a cotter pin and they didnt know if the dealer could get the parts. A cotter pin. They basically told me to go f*** myself. I assume that this occured because of the stack of Bibles in my car. I left them a Bible after I retrieved my keys. I imagine that this is how they treat people who do not know anything about machines. A cotter pin. Yes, I'm serious. Man I don't even know where to start with how insanely impressed I am with the service, professionalism and expertise I just experienced at Clark's this afternoon. Juan and Greg are the most accommodating and informative mechanics I've ever had the pleasure of interacting with about car troubles. I came in for a simple oil change and was informed that my turbo was leaking ( I was aware of this and already had an appointment set up at another shop ) and with that Clark's quoted me 800 + dollars less than the other spot that I was originally looking at! Fixed it in a few hours and even showed me bits and pieces of the process along the way. On top of all that they showed me pictures of trouble areas and spots that needed attention. Answered literally every question I had about the pictures and let me know the level of importance for each thing that was brought up! You know I still feel young, but I remember SERVICE! YES, CUSTOMER SERVICE. Oops, I do not mean to shock you. No, I was shocked when I pulled into Clark's on a whim curious what it would cost to get a tire repaired that had a nail in it. They were so busy the Manager Dave was in the shop working. After Dave came to the office to help me, I was greeted in a manner that made me feel like a family friend. Dave asked what brought me in and promptly told just leave your car with us and we will get your tire fixed. Dave told me when it would be done and what time to return. I came back when Dave said and I had my car pulled up to the front door my keys were handed to me and I was on my way. Look, I know, perhaps to you this may seem routine... But, for me when I left, I kept thinking of how things were when I was a kid, when you could pull in and know that your problem would be resolved. People could be trusted and kept their word. All can say is Clark's and Dave and their mechanics make things Better and Easy. I found this encounter Extraordinary, Exceptional, even Phenomenal. Bought my son a car, it failed emissions so I took it in to Clark's to have it checked out. Emissions said that the EGR Solenoid was bad and Catalyst had low threshold. They called and quoted me 129.89 for a air filter scoop (66.00 online) (mind you, emissions doesn't look under the hood), 222.00 for EGR Solenoid, and 1408.00 (200.00 online) for the Catalyst. Well, I'm really into doing things myself. So I went to Autozone and bought the EGR Solenoid myself for 48.00 and they showed me where it was located on the car. I went home and replaced it, took it into emissions this morning and it passed. How many people are they screwing out of thousands of dollars? Oh, and they charged me 150.00 to diagnose it. Umm, hello, it said it right on the paperwork. I've heard that they overcharge, but that's an understatement. 48.00 at Autozone 222.00 at Clarks and the "shop" fee of 150.00 again. Just wanted to give these guys a shout out. My cousin who is pretty mechanically challenged (completely an understatement) called my brother and myself up, freaking out over his vehicle overheating a little bit ago. We told him to stop by Clark's since it was on his way home to the house. The guys inspected his cooling system, found a minor issue, a loose cap, probably from the Subaru of Spokane tech where he bought his vehicle a few weeks ago. Guessing they left his radiator cap loose, (incidentally, they left his vehicle with a battery that wasn't even the proper size for his vehicle, either lol - *open your hood when buying a used vehicle people!!!*) Granted, to most people this is nothing, for a guy who has zero mechanical inclination - it was Carmageddon! The guys at Clark's checked his coolant system, added coolant for him, looked to see if he had any major leaks, drove it around and brought it back to him. He was able to drive it home. They didn't charge him a cent. We live in a world where there are scummy mechanics, whiny & belligerent customers as well, but it I think it's important to spotlight the shops and their mechanics who go beyond normal customer service to help out a guy, nearly about to wet himself over his car and treats them with dignity and respect. What are they guilty of? Wasting my time, mostly. I dropped off my Durango for a front end alignment and to get a slow leak on a tire repaired. Told them I would be at the nearby businesses killing time, and to let me know when it was done. They agreed. An hour and 15 minutes later I went back to the shop to check, and my vehicle was sitting in the parking lot. They said that the components were too worn to do an adjustment, and should be replaced. I had just been to my trustworthy regular mechanic 2 weeks earlier, and they cited no issues. They wrote me up for a $2800(!) estimate for repairs, they wanted to replace every single component in the front end, which was totally unnecessary. They said they fixed my leaky tire for free...except they removed and "fixed" the wrong tire. How could I tell? They removed my chrome valve stem cap and replaced it with a black plastic one, and the tire they should have fixed was obviously untouched. There is no way I would trust this shop with such shoddy attention to detail. It's a tire shop that does mechanic work...much different than an actual auto mechanic! Avoid. read more

Best auto shop in Spokane will never take my truck anywhere else. Had my brakes done about three months ago and they did a great job. So took my truck back in for a lot of work and they were done right when they said it would be and did amazing work. Great prices too love my new tires and my truck rides so smooth now. Definitely go to them for any auto needs. Also when I was waiting noticed they don't charge to patch a whole in a tire which in Spokane getting a whole in your tire is a normal occurrence I feel. read more

I recently brought my pickup in for an alignment. When I made the appointment I asked them if they could be done before 1 pm as it would be difficult for me to get a ride after that. I was told that'd be no problem if I dropped it off when they open at 8am. I was the second person through the door at 8. When I called them at 1230 I was told they had just pulled it into the shop and it wouldn't be done until closer to 2 pm. I was then called back 5 minutes later and told that they weren't able to perform the alignment because my ball joints were "totally shot" When I got there they handed me an estimate for $1650 for new ball joints top and bottom on both sides as well as new control arms. I promptly drove home and inspected them myself. (I grew up working on cars) I couldn't find what they were referring to. I took it to another shop that I have done business with for years but was inconveniently farther away from my home. This shop had no problem doing the alignment and said there was nothing wrong with my vehicle. I will not be doing any more business with Clark's tire. read more

Cannot thank the guys over at Clark's enough! We were in the middle of a cross country trip and began hearing a clicking in our tire. I had initially brought our vehicle to a mechanic across the street who had said if we brought the vehicle at 1pm they would look at it over their lunch break to see if it was still safe to drive. I waited for an hour and my car wasn't even brought back on the lift. I called Clark's and they said to bring it on over and they would make sure it was safe for the road. I brought it straight over after talking to Justin (the manager) on the phone. I asked him to also rotate the tires while there. They were busy but just as promised he had it up on the lift quickly and their certified mechanic Travis took the time to check out the tires and make sure it was safe to drive. Travis, Justin and Otis were all super kind and helpful and we have been traveling safely on the road ever since. I would recommend this spot to anyone. read more

I dropped by to get my winter tires mounted and balanced. They were booked solid all morning but welcomed me to wait for an opening. Rideshare Drivers Beware! Starting my 3rd year of RS driving. First year, I went to Clark's as they were only game in town. They told my my (actually pretty decent) tires were shot. They sold me a set (60,000 mile warranty). Charged me nothing for Uber or Lyft inspection. Next year, went back and they said my tires were, once again shot even though I had put barely over 30,000 on the 60,000 tires. Asked them to engage the warranty: CT "Did you get two alignments this year?" Me: Uhhh, no. I did get one though". CT: Too bad. You have to have two in a one year period to activate warranty." Got new tires somewhere else. Went back and they charged me 25 bucks (twice. One for each inspection). Called them this year as I mistakenly assumed they were still only game in town. Called for an appointment and they informed me that inspections were $35 EACH for lyft and Uber. The man claimed these fees were imposed upon them by L & U. Did further digging on Lyft sight (shallow search will claim they have "partnered" with Clark's for inspections) yielded a list of ASE certified mechanics that are qualified to do inspections. Went to Common Sense Motors on Division and got a pass on both forms for $20. Period. In and out in 20 minutes. Avoid these pirates who are screwing the little guy because they can. It's common sense to go to Common Sense. I am done with Clark's. read more

Everyone here was super friendly and very customer- oriented - needed tires swapped on my truck - didn't get a bit of pushback about "where I bought them" like some bigger competitors now seem to exhibit. Watched the staff engage all of the customers while I waited - they all took to He time to explain issues with customer's cars (tire puncture for one, A/C issues with another - went into lots of detail about their repair options and costs - just impressed with the attention to detail and family/friendly attitude Will definitely be my go to place for anything related tires for my vehicles from now on! read more

If it was not broken by Clarks I would be very interested to get a logical alternative. The sensor worked when I removed the wheel from the car. I used slime in the tire before bringing it in, so one would assume that all exposed parts would be cover in slime. When the sensor was shown to me the broken edges if the plastic of the sensor where clean. read more

My jeep had alot wrong with it but one thing I could alway count on was it starting it always started. I had a bad oil leak and it's one thing I needed to fix soon so I took it to clarks They said they were gonna charge me 75 for the inspection and when they called me they said i'd cost 600 to fix the oil leak so I gave them the ok to fix the oil leak they told me the car would be done by 4 I called them at 4 they said that it would be done by 5 then they called me at 430 telling me my car wouldn't start and they thought that it was the starter I asked them how much that would cost to get that fixed they wanted to charge me another 600 I told them I would fix it and I towed it to my house I had everything tested the starter was good the battery was good everything was good The car started before I gave it to them they pushed it out of their shop and broke it I can't prove it. I wish I could. I've checked the battery I checked the starter I checked The Wire connections it will turn over but it won't start at all. Almost 1000 later still out of a car and now no savings for another car. read more

My SUV had a long-term oil leak that I didn't have the money to fix until recently. At the suggestion of a friend I took it to Clark's. They looked it over and told me that my valve covers were loose (and at least one was cracked) and so was my oil pan. I authorized them to do an oil change. While checking everything out, they informed me that my radiator was clogged, and that they had tried to flush it a couple of times with no success. I knew something was wrong with it because discolored coolant had recently started leaking from it. I was told that the best solution would be to tighten/replace the valve covers and oil pan as needed and to replace the radiator. I asked for an estimate and was given one that was acceptable to me. I authorized them to do the work but was not given a firm finish date. This is where the review goes into good news and bad news. The bad news is that they kept my vehicle for six days, which I could accept given the volume of work. However, the communication was sporadic. I would call, they would say "probably tomorrow," then I would have to call again the next day to find out that it was going to take yet another day. As I said, the time for doing the work was ok. The uncertainty and the fact that I had to do the follow up wasn't great. The good news? The work was done well and the cost came in at the estimate, which I very much appreciated. My vehicle is running well and is no longer pouring oil (and recently, coolant) all over the ground. I took a star off for the communication, but I will go back to Clark's when I need auto work done. We all have strengths and weaknesses, and the important thing for me was getting my SUV fixed. read more

Went here to do an Uber Eats inspection since you didn't have to make an appointment. They told me my front tire tread was under the legal limit. I came home and did the test with a quarter and had my husband look at my tread and it seemed fine and legal. Decided to make an appointment at my normal mechanic shop for another opinion, my tires are perfectly fine and not only have legal tread, but are gonna last me for a while. Don't waste your time, go to Lloyd's on the South Hill instead. read more
