Came in for an oil change. An hour later, they came out to tell us we needed a new battery (under warranty AFTER we told them we bought it here) then back breaks & rotors. Said an hour & 1\2 at most. Over FOUR hours later, they were done. Went to that car wash and they had put our windshield wipers on WRONG after they removed them to replace the battery. I spoke about a torque wrench and one was used. The good ends there. Tire Works failed to tighten the lugs using the star pattern and left the lugs loose. Lugs were tightened in a clockwise order which causes Uneven Load Distribution (around the rim), Warped Brake Rotors, Wheel Damage (uneven tire wear), and Insecure Fastening as it it was the industry standard procedure. But, the damage due to improper tightening sequence would not have happened because the wheels would have fallen off due to lack of torque. I measured the torque required to loosen the lugs and it varied from 220 to a max of 300 ft.lbs. which only happened on one lug on each tire. Tightening was a two step process: 1) Starting at bottom, CW around with air powered nut driver. 2) Starting at bottom, CW ring around with torque wrench. I watched it happen. Most of the lugs did not tighten further with the torque wrench. Therefore, the torque wrench was set at the low torque of 220 ft.lbs. as if it was a car and not a big rig while the nut driver torqued one lug on each wheel to 300 ft.lbs. BUT, an 11R22.5 with tire with 22x1.5mm thread lug wants 280-330 fl.lbs. on every lug after lubrication. Lubrication was not used. The lugs were left loose. The wheels would have fallen off. Fortunately for Tire Works, a clearly posted sign in the store says they are not responsible for any damage. read more

It was flat the very next morning. After leaving I was told by locals to avoid this shop for these reasons, they're rude AF and totally incompetent. And now I see 2.9 stars on yelp and realize why. Review for Tireworks (Kingman, AZ) and Sun Auto Corporate AVOID AT ALL COSTS. A complete waste of time and money, followed by months of corporate incompetence. My ordeal with Tireworks began in early May 2025 when I took my truck to the Kingman, AZ location for an AC issue. They charged me over $400 to replace a sensor and recharge the system, claiming they had checked for leaks with dye and found none. A week later, my AC was blowing hot again. [[HIGHLIGHT]]When I called them from out of town, the Kingman manager became rude and dismissive, telling me to "bring it back" and then hanging up.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Unwilling to trust them again, I took my truck to Sansone Auto in Henderson, NV. Their diagnostic found the real problem: a leaking condenser that Tireworks had supposedly "checked." Sansone also informed me that there was no dye in my AC system, directly contradicting what I was told by Tireworks. Not only did Tireworks miss the main issue, but the Sansone mechanic also discovered that the sensor Tireworks had installed was bent and improperly inserted, causing further problems. After spending another $1,000 to get my AC properly fixed, my truck was still acting up because of Tireworks' shoddy sensor installation. This is where the nightmare got worse. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I called the Kingman Tireworks store manager to demand a refund. His attitude was hostile, and he repeatedly told me to "bring it in" despite my having documentation from another shop proving their error.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] He then tried to pawn me off on a different Tireworks location in Vegas, whose manager apologized for the Kingman manager's behavior. [[HIGHLIGHT]]For months, I have been dealing with Sun Auto corporate customer support--a journey of empty promises and a shocking lack of accountability. I've sent my documentation to multiple representatives (specifically, a woman named Stephanie and a district manager named Shawn) and have been given constant assurances that a refund was being processed. Each time, I'd wait for a call or email that never came.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I've been told I needed to provide more documentation, only to be told the next week that they had everything they needed. Over the course of months, I've been lied to, ignored, and given the runaround. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The district manager, Shawn, finally called me back after I had to chase him down. He promised a refund and told me they had "let go" the Kingman manager, as if that would fix everything. It didn't. The most irresponsible and disrespectful tire shop I have ever gone too.  Of the many many mistakes on their part, here is one:  Over two months, Of the eight flat repairs I took into them in 2021 (6 tires with 5000 miles, 2 with less), they declared 7 were unfixable and I needed to buy new tires from them.  While fixing the last two, I said "if you declare all eight low milage tires as unfixable, it will be ver suspicious".  After coming back the next day, Nick remembered what I said, and informed me the last tire was reparable, leaving 7 other tires from two vehicles unfixable.  I find that suspiciously dishonest.  Especially after I took two of those low millage tires back to SHT and they fix the declared unrepeatable tires exceptionally fast.  (two were from Oregon so I have not taken those back, two more to take to SHT, which I am betting, will be fixed).   You be the judge, are the tires declared bad, so they can make new tire sales?  8 newer tires, only one could be fixed, after I told them I would be concerned if they said all 8 were bad. read more

Where is the Customer Service these days? Spoke with Eric about having my car serviced there. His customer service skills, or lack of was truly terrible. I'm not one who believe that the customer is always right, However I am a customer, without us you have no business or job. I was told if I was to leave my vehicle there they would get to it the next day for diagnostic. This was Thursday after 3pm. Which was acceptable. Friday after 4pm I contacted them a nice man named Mike explained to me the person that ran the diagnostic machine was off that day. Mike said he himself couldn't get to it because they were very busy, but the next day for sure they could run the diagnostic on my car. I called the next day, Saturday after 4pm, I was transferred to Eric the person that I spoke to on Thursday. What an attitude! He told me that Saturdays are walk-in's and they were too busy to get to my vehicle and he went in to say "I TOLD YOU THAT I WONT GET TO IT UNTIL MONDAY, YOU CAN COME AND GET IT IF YOU CANT WAIT!" all caps because that's how he spoke to me. I was told at least 7 things that need to be done and was handed an invoice of 1400 dollars. all I needed was brakes but instead they ORDERED A $250 PARKING BRAKE ASSEMBLY PART WITHOUT MY PERMISSION and TRIED HOLDIMG MY VEHICLE HOSTAGE WITH EVERYTHING I OWN INSIDE. KEPT ME FROM MY REQUIRED MEDICATION EVEN. for not wanting to pay for the unwanted transaction for a part that was not needed. ultimately was forced to buy the part for $250 and pay labor for the diagnoses which was $250. well comes to find out the part that was sold to me for overpriced does not even go to my model of truck. it's for standard brakes and I have disc brakes. this place took advantage of me hard and I will never suggest this place to another soul. if you work hard for your money stay away from this place. CROOKED BUSINESS currently starting a civil suit against this business. the sad part is after I was forced to spend all that money I still had to take my truck from the shop on a tow truck. Excellent service. I have a two year old RAV4 and was at the dealer recently for a free oil change. They told me I needed one shock absorber at a price of $500. I found that disturbing. So, stopped by Superior and talked to the head guy at the service desk. He first said, you usually replace shocks with two. He also offered to do a visual inspection of my vehicle. He noticed a leak in the shock. He did some cost estimates and offered me two at less than the $500 for one. I had them service the car today, and all I have is praise for management and the service team. First, they are no here to rip off the customer. Second, they actually answer your questions. We went to Tire Works on Stockton Hill in Kingman, they checked all four tires plus the spare, and found nothing troublesome. Consistent Quality Service I've been taking my 2005 Dodge Ram truck to Superior Tire for two years now. They have earned my loyalty because they consistently do great work. Recently I took my truck in for its regular 5000-mile service. However, I asked them to check a couple of things when they did. They found something wrong that didn't surprise me, as it pertained to the notorious Dodge front end, so I had them go ahead and do the work. My truck works great! What I have appreciated about them is the friendly service. Cameron has always been straight forward with me and ensured all the work was done timely and efficiently. I have the intoxalock system on my car...cool, got no problem with that I got the DUI....Twice now, Superior tire on Stockton Hill Rd said my battery was the reason for the inter lock device to throw codes and lock up the vehicle...both times they sold me a battery with installation, recalibration of device, shop supplies etc.....they must have forgotten that 4 months ago they did the same thing and tried to blame me for the battery screw on a side mount terminal for coming out causing the device to not function properly. I have reported them to intoxalock services they are thieves...they must have forgot they installed both batteries and if that was done improperly its not my fault.....first bill was 297.00....the second was 320.00..... for anybody to know....do not....go to them scumbags... read more

I had rented from the Enterprise in Tucson and by the time I got to Kingman the tire pressure light was on (again!). Luckily I was directed from the Kingman Enterprise to Superior Tire. They checked the tire over, aired her up, and I was good for 24 hours until the light came on again. Needless to say, Tucson Enterprise gave me a lemon of a rental. But I loved that Superior Tire got me in, looked the tire over, and tried to get it fixed up for me. Very nice staff. Would recommend. read more

My Husband and I were traveling from Kingman to Laughlin and as we entered the freeway we hit a pot hole that resulted in a busted tire. We traveled back to Kingman to find a place to repair our tire. We went to the two closes tire places and they didn't have our tire size. We were told to try Superior Tires. As we arrived we were greeted by Mr. Eikleberry. He was very pleasant and gave us great customer service. It was like seeing an old friend. The location also had the size tire we needed for our Honda Accord Touring! A delightful experience. read more

Tues morning I asked Cameron for six things to be looked at on my 2006 Dodge Ram 1500: 1. Oil change (should come with tire rotation and 30 to 40 point inspection) 2. Power steering pump in poor condition, does not work at low rpms. Please investigate 3. Lots of road noise, please look at wheel bearings 4. About to pull a trailer across the country, please check my brakes 5. I'm riding on the spare tire, please put my good brand new spare tire on my good rim and replace my spare tire with a new cheap tire. 6. I asked for them to investigate reattaching my rear shock as the mount had broken off from the frame and required welding. Cameron calls me back about two hours later and says "Your truck is ready!" Confused I asked him what the shop had completed. He said "your oil change is done and you have a new tire on your spare and your good spare tire on your good rim. I asked him about my wheel bearings and my power steering I had asked him to look at and he paused on the phone as though he was reading notes from the tech and then said "yup, all good." I said "my power steering does not work. I asked you to look at it. Your tech would know it doesn't work if he had to pull the truck into the garage." This went on, and he decided to go look closer and call me back. He calls me back and tells me that he has "fired the guy that was looking at [my] truck" and that yes the power steering pump has failed and that both of my front hubs need to be replaced as well as the upper and lower ball joints. Before I tell him to continue I say hold off, I want to come down to the shop to see it. I go down to the shop on my lunch break and look quickly. I spoke with the tech and Cameron and we went out to see the truck where they showed me the condition of the front hubs and ball bearings. One side was certainly worse than the other but this was causing my road noise and likely extra tire wear as well. He also explains to me that my rear shock will require welding and they do not have a welder. Something he could have told me the moment I told him I needed a welder. We go in to see the quote on how much it will cost to do all of this work. He quotes me a total of $2260 to do the work. Labor and parts for the power steering pump, a power steering flush which I likely didn't need because most of the fluid is in the pump itself, a new pulley, and a new belt, new ball bearings, new hubs, the oil change, the tire, and a couple of tire mounting charges. I take a deep breath and a give him the ok to complete the work. Almost a week from when they said it would be done, Tyler, calls me and tells me the truck is done after multiple attempts of me calling and checking to see if it was done already from Cameron. So after work Monday I go back. The truck is finally parked in a spot outside of the garage. I walk in and get Tyler to show me all the work they did. Turns out, they couldn't get the ball bearing and ended up buying entirely new control arms that would change the fit of the bearings. That added an extra $150 to my ticket without telling me. Finally got my truck. Loaded it up, packed my trailer and was off from Kingman, AZ to Elkton, MD, about 2000 miles. I get to my Dad's house and back the trailer into his yard to unload some things into the house. The power steering locks up, the pulley shatters, and the belt is destroyed. The new shop finds two big issues: The power steering has certainly failed due to a kinked hose that would have been put on by the tech at superior tire. They also find that there is a hole or a tear in my CV shaft boot closest to the hub and most of the grease had run out and was all over the inside of my rim. I explain to the shop owner that the same shop that had just botched my power steering job also replaced the front hubs and likely removed that cv shaft to do the job. He agreed that they certainly did have to remove the cv shaft to do that job. So now I had a second claim of poor worksmanship for superior tire. No more space to explain the rest. In the end on top of the $2200 I paid I am out $800 more. read more

Took a new car in to see if it needed an alignment knowing we had just checked it at the dealership. I wanted to test the manager Cameron's honesty. Boy was I surprised when he insisted the camber needed to be adjusted. Actually recommended a whole change of the system the car uses for it's perfect non alignment needed for Mazda vehicles. I totally lost trust in the two techs and Cameron that day. Let me guestimate how long it would take with power tools they use. ZZZZZZZRRRRRRKKKKK, ZZZZZZZZRRRRRKKKK, ZZZZZZZZRRRRRRKKKK, ZZZZZZZRRRRRRKKKKK, ZZZZZZZZRRRRRKKKK.....five lug nuts off in under one minute X 4 tires (4 minutes) Move front tires to rear, move rear tires to front (2 minutes) ZZZZZZZRRRRRRKKKKKKKK....X.....five lug nuts, X 4 tires equals 4 minutes Check tire pressure, adjust as necessary, (4 minutes) Total tire change....... 14 minutes I was there 2 hours and 10 minutes So totaling up my "WODERFUL" experience looks like this: 25 minutes....................nothing 10 minutes......................stage vehicle in bay 14 minutes.....................rotate tires That leaves approx. 1 hour and 20 minutes to change the oil Guess I'm not Superior at math, huh? But I am good at looking for BETTER service!!!!! read more

I have tried several times over the last year to get work done at the Kingman location of Superior Tire. I have been given the run around and given no follow up each time. Definitely done trying to do business with them. When there is a great place right across the street (Stockton Hill Tire) I find it amazing that Superior Tire does not try harder to retain customers. The last instance I was brought in twice (7-28 and 7-29) for a simple repair then told the welder was broken and somehow they cannot find common parts. I was then told I would get a call Monday. No call, no appointment, no nothing. So on Tuesday I called them. I was basically told they cannot find a super simple and common part. I doubt they even tried since I found the part in 5 minutes. Sounds like the job was not worth the time to them, but they were not men enough to admit that. In the mean time they wasted several hours of my time shining me on. Bad way to do business. I heard they were kind of crappy, but did not believe it until I saw it myself. If you are looking for a quality tire shop I suggest Stockton Hill Tire right across the street or Big O Tire at Stockton Hill and Rt 66. Both of these businesses have proven reliable and honest. read more

Even took the shyster owner to small claims court and he stood us up and then didn't budge during mediation and we went before a judge. What a wreck the whole thing turned out to be - spent over $1200 on equipment my vehicle didn't need like new struts - I didn't get to see them at my request and they put in after market, not my vehicle's brand. Second opinion from the dealership we bought it at and they disputed most of what Superior Tire had done on the vehicle to include damage to the sensor wire and CV boot, costing us even more money. Although we lost at small claims as I am not an automotive expert, Superior Tire has LOST ANOTHER CUSTOMER. Don't just complain on Yelp on about this business, file a complaint with the State Attorney General's office, and take them to small claims court. read more
