These guys fixed a hole in my tire for cheap when others wouldn't. They were honest, friendly, fast, and didn't try to upsell. They gave me a ride to work and remembered me every time I came in. They earned my future business, and I was very pleased with the work they did. read more

Unfortunately I have to give Tire World a terrible review. Firstly, I was a frequent customer and took my car every time it was due for for maintenance. On my last check up, an oil leak was found, and the suggested repair along with rear wheel alignment was $3500. I declined the alignment, and paid close to $3,000 (actual cost of my car by Kelley Blue Book) because I did not want to buy a new car or an old one with unknown history. At that time, I was told that this is what happens when the car is not looked at frequently and not maintained well. I DID go exclusively to Tire World every time my maintenance light was on. So basically, you they were telling me THEY were not doing a good job keeping my car in check on her regular check ups? Additionally, I complained about my belt making a loud noise, which was dismissed by Tire world previously, the belt was "nearly completely torn" on this check up and replaced. It still makes the same awful noise. This alone, would not have prompted me to write this review. A month after this repair, my check engine light went on. I took it back to Tire World, and they diagnosed it with faulty catalytic converter. The quoted estimate for this repair was $2,800. Now, I spoke with several mechanics (friends from other states and another downtown shop), and universally every single one of them told me that this is a complete rip off. (THIS IS WHAT MY ENTIRE CAR COSTS!). I ended up taking my car to another shop downtown recommended by a friend, which quoted me $900 and told me we could try running a cleaning solution through the system and see if this helps first (cost $170). This actually solved the problem for right now. If they light does come back on, and I need to replace my catalytic converter, I will be returning to that particular shop downtown. I don't even want to know how much money I wasted at Tire World over the past 3 years, should have left them sooner. read more

We have used them twice, and both times have been absolutely horrible! The first time we went, we needed new tires for our car. We called around and Tire World gave us the best quote so they were the obvious place to go. We talked to them at the end of business one day and went there early the next day only to find out that they only had THREE of the four tires needed. Why would they ever stock an odd number of tires? They then told us that we would either have to go with a much cheaper tire or go with a more expensive one. Of course we ended up with the more expensive one. It was definitely a scam to get us to pay more money. Since we purchased 4 tires, we have free tire rotation for the life of the tire. Months later, I called and scheduled an appointment for an oil change and a tire rotation. When we showed up, the man at the front desk, Justin, informs us that it is going to be an hour to an our and a half. (Mind you, the place was dead and the mechanics were just sitting there on their cell phones) When we asked him what the point of an appointment time was if it was still going to take that long, he got really rude and asked us how long we thought it should take. My boyfriend informed him that he use to work at a tire shop and it should take around 30 minutes for both the oil change and the tire rotation. He then proceeded to tell us that if we wanted to go out there and do it ourselves, we were more than welcome to. We decided to leave due to Justin's pure rudeness and asked for the business card of the manager. We got to our car and called the number on the card only to find it was the number to the store. When asked about why the numbers were the same, Just said, "that's his business card, buddy" in a very condescending tone. We ended up calling Tire World on Riverbend Way and was told to try the industry Lane location because they were swamped and Industry Lane was dead. After explaining our situation, they went out of their way to get us in and it took them 30 minutes despite being swamped. We will now be taking our business to the Riverbend Way location. read more

Horrible. They can't get work done in timely fashion. They had my vehicle for 9 hours + and it still wasn't complete. I scheduled an appointment to have this service done and it could have been done in 2 hours or less. But no. I had to wait even longer for whatever reason. I thought scheduling appointments was supposed to avoid issues like this but I guess it doesn't matter with this place. I wouldn't have taken my vehicle here if it wasn't for the fact that my company made me. I worked in the automotive field for years as both an auto mechanic and a service advisor. This is absolutely unacceptable and if I can help I will never bring another vehicle here again. Nothing like being told that your vehicle will be ready by a certain time and it taking a whole lot longer than it should have. I personally, with hand tools, could have done this job in 2 hrs or less. I gave one star because I couldn't give any less or negative stars. It would have been a -50 if I could have. read more

NO honest, NO integrity.......Run Like Hell..... My wife went in for an oil change and they told her the car needs tire rotation, it's leaking oil and needed new front brakes. I AM A MECHANIC we just moved to MD from Florida. the car has brakes with 65 % life, the tires are in good condition and did not need a rotation, AND the car is NOT leaking oil. When my wife called me to tell me what they said, I was blown away. I told her to just leave there is no point in wasting our time and energy arguing with trash... I will file a complaint with the BBB and post my reviews. read more

I am very disappointed with this place! My mother and I went in to get a tire changed, and we were treated very poorly by the store manager, Dorwin. He made sexist remarks about whether or not we knew anything about a vehicle ("Do you even know what that is" - referring to an alignment). My step father called the store, while we were waiting for our car, to ask why it was going to be more expensive, seeing they had previously told us a completely different price, and the SM was rude on the telephone. I do not understand how someone can be a store manager with such a poor attitude, excessive sarcasm, sexist comments, poor customer service, and a lack of professionalism. Upon leaving, he proceeded to tell my mother and I how "disrespectful" my step father was. I was previously a manager in a retail store, and no matter what kind of customer I had, no matter how rude they were, I put a smile on my face, was kind, and did not talk poorly of them to other customers. Lastly, to put on one tire, and rotate it, it took over an hour. We will never return to this Tire World, and I advise anyone to do the same. That is unless you want poor...everything! read more
