this shop tire world write that assistant manager name anne beard and his partner german artiga service writer if you ever go to this shop please do not get your car done from here what they did we send our car to this workshop and and tey said that to check what is wromg and they will charge us $149 and they will check and let us know when we did it they called us and siad to fix your ac it would be $683 in total. once we got our car for two days it worked and after that it broke again when we went back they said that the technision believed that your ac is good but your radiator is broke and you need to pay $800 to fix it we were like what we pay 700 before they said to check like what the heack is the like why you didnt tell us before and now they are adking again my tecomdation is do not go herer worse customer service and these two did not know what to say also the lady Anne she was rude she was keep cutting us off and i had to tell you can you please let us finsh. read more

The location is eaay to get to; they have plenty of parking; the staff at the counter took care of me right away, gave me an appointment for the week after, and answered all my questions; when I brought the car they were running behind, but added more technicians and completed the work within the original time frame they gave me; and the price was the best I found in the area. read more

Unfortunately my engine in my car blew up. It was sent to tire world on a Monday and I had a diagnosis that same day. They are super quick efficient and get things done very quick. Rashaad and Matt saved the day for me about a week and a half ago. I set out from Virginia to Pennsylvania for the holidays with a brand new tire (purchased locally) and began having issues with it a little over an hour into my trip with a packed car and a pet. Tire World was my fourth stop in Frederick in my attempt to find someone who could look at my tire in under the 3-4 hours quoted at the other stores. Rashaad was the first person I spoke to who actually listened to my concern and agreed to have my car looked at in a reasonable amount of time. He invited me to bring my cat inside in her carrier and Matt was able to find the problem and fix it well under the time originally quoted. It was a stressful situation for me and I'm so grateful to both of them for getting me and my cat back on the road as quickly as they did. I can't recommend them highly enough. I was looking go get a tune up on my car and when I sent a message to the business via the Yelp app, I was asked to call Jason or Rich at 301-698-9200 and they would give me an estimate on a tune up. When I did call them, I spoke to someone (forgot the name) and he asked me to bring the car in so that they can give me an estimate. When I asked the person if it was possible to give me an estimate over the phone, he put me on hold for about 10 minutes and then told me that he would charge $250 just to change the spark plugs!!! We had a terrible customer service experience with Tire World in Frederick. 5 days after repair, without even one phone call Tire World sent the police to our house. The experience began with a good quote, they did the work promptly and said we could pick up the car. My husband lost his credit card and was waiting for a new card in the mail to pay. That's when they sent the police. My husband immediately called tire world to explain the situation and the person on the phone yelled, seemed frantic and just plan crazy. We understand the miscommunication was in part our fault, we never intended on not paying our bill in fact upon payment we were planning scheduling service on the second vehicle. The level of hostility from this woman was concerning. We have been bringing both of our cars there for years but no longer feel comfortable patronizing this business. Shame on you for treating a customer this way and wasting the time of law enforcement. read more

I came here twice for an oil change, since I work in Frederick. The first time was great: they were quick and polite, said everything else looked good, and I was definitely satisfied. The second time I came for an oil change (summer 2014), they tried to tell me that my car needed $2000 worth of work ASAP. Like, I shouldn't even drive my car off their lot because they were "worried about my safety." I know very little about cars, but my coworker and boyfriend both looked at it that day and I ended up getting one thing fixed for under $200 at a reputable place in Rockville. It's now 8+ months later and the problems they described as urgent then have yet to manifest; I've taken it in to a dealer and another oil change place and they have reported no additional problems either. Four stars because this was my first time there. If they are just as great the next time I visit, they will be awarded five stars. I must admit, this is one of the most pleasant experiences I have ever had at an autoshop, especially because I was getting my state inspection and I was just waiting for them to nickle and dime me on unnecessary things that had to be fixed in order to pass. One of those things was the headlight alignment, which I am told other companies will charge you $60 to do. Tire World? They did it for free! Speaking of free, they also shuttled me to and from work while they had my car. The van and the truck that I was driven in were immaculately clean. Having the free shuttle made life much easier on me. It was better than waiting the 1 1/2 it took to inspect it and lose time at work, or waste a friend's time driving me around for the day. The individuals who work there are happy to help and very courteous. Upon arriving back at Tire World the driver dropped me right off at the door and then went to park and an employee who was leaving happily waited for me and opened the door. The person running the counter was on his own and the phone was ringing a lot. He remained calm and happy and helped me as well as the customers on the phone in an orderly fashion. So yay for great experiences! It's sad it doesn't happen too often these days. One last thing, there is a coupon on their website for the inspection to only be $53 which is deal, since most are around $70. They also have coupons there for oil changes. read more

Hmmm, where to start... They squeezed me in for a MD inspection only to find a few minor problems but ended up costing about $575. They offered to do the repairs immediately, which they did expertly. The staff was immensely polite, friendly and each went out of their way to be courteous and professional. I will be back when I need tires etc. since they earned it. They also have a fridge with cold water and sodas, a coffee station and cookies. Very pleasant experience. read more

Definite 5 stars for this place! My Smart Fortwo had a flat tire and this was the only place that had my tires in stock in their warehouse. Other places had at least a 24 to 48 hour turnaround to get my tires (three manufacturers make them.. That's how rare they are) and considering that I live in Alexandria and was stuck in Frederick... I needed them ASAP. So I called and they said they could have my tire at this Industry Lane location within 30 minutes. I got there, showed them which tire was flat (which was now holding air due to the teensy tiny piece of metal plugging the hole) and they took my keys and information down. Here's the funny part: they changed the other tire, saying there was a plug in it (sure enough there was, they showed me exactly what they were seeing) and that they couldn't find the hole in the actual flat tire (which was still inflated from when I left my house). I showed them exactly where it was and they said they would get another tire down there right away and replace it. I had no idea my other tire had a plug in it, so it was like a fortunate mistake/misunderstanding. I ended up paying less than $240 for two tires plus installation and disposal of old tires. Not bad at all! I think I waited for about an hour and 30 minutes but considering that I was a walk-in after 3 pm on a weekday that's not bad AT ALL. The General Manager was very helpful and patient since this happened like, 30 minutes prior to them closing. This was probably the most pleasurable experience I've had dealing with an auto shop and I will definitely be returning to Tire World (probably this specific location since I know that the staff there are wonderful) for any future tire/auto needs. I went here for my Maryland inspection based on another, positive Yelp review. I am glad I did. I take good care of my car but I was concerned because my past experience with inspections has been that it seems to be an excuse for some less honest shops to 'find' something wrong. Well, I did have a bad rear brake cylinder, but they actually took me into the shop and showed me the leak. I gave them the go-ahead on the repair and that's where the 4 stars come in. I waited for several hours for the parts guy to deliver. The counter guy was busy, but I feel he could have followed up on the whereabouts of the parts van before he did. I finally left and returned the next day to have the car fixed. I will return for regular upkeep, oil changes, etc. I did find them honest and reasonably priced. read more

I came into Tire World off of Industry Ln for my tire rotation and Jason was amazing. He not only had the tire rotation complete quickly, but he also saved me $80 on my oil change for my Q5. There was an issue with one back brake pad and they informed me and were not pushy, but explained all the ins and outs. Very informative and very nice in explaining to me. I experienced something today I rarely receive at anything relating to servicing my car...HONESTY & INTEGRITY! I hit a curb kind of hard and upon driving it again, my tire was making a noise and tar and debris were concentrated in an area so that I was now getting a shaking driving experience. For sure I thought I needed a new tire. So I called Tire World in the morning since all of my tires are with them. They scheduled me right away. So I went over and while waiting maybe 15 minutes; John called for me to address something they found. I was dreading each step thinking they're going to tell me I did so much damage that I'm going to need an alignment too! To my utter surprise and delight, they told me the opposite! I've been a Tire World customer for several years. Each experience, whether it be shock absorbers, brake repair, or a host of other requirements, they have always performed the service just as if I was doing the work myself. Jessica Cook, Dan ( in the shop) and Missy are top notch; as are their other service advisors and shop personnel. They have earned my trust by performing work in a very professional manner, and keeping me informed throughout the process. I've been in Frederick County for thirty eight years (38), and trust me I have seen my share of unscrupulous organizations. At one point in the process, I almost decided to dump the cars and trucks and opt for riding a horse. It certainly would be reliable transportation; four wheel drive to boot. Perhaps the most blatant abuse of customers occurs when you're treated poorly, seemingly because you don't know someone in the shop. I never took the approach of seeking a repair facility with the purpose of making friends. After all the service is never free - you pay for it. Contrast my last statement with the reception I've received at Tire World. Absolutely the best environment in the Tri-State area for automotive repairs. I'd also like to believe they're my friends; at least I am treated in that manner. Naturally every situation is different. Just as people are different; and yes, there are still places around town that I wouldn't allow to work on my dogs hind legs. This was my first time there and will be a regular customer. Brandon was great, and quick they said it would take an hour and 50 min later two tires were mounted and it was done, great price compared to Mercedes's dealer and AAA. Place is clean and modern and they are very friendly. First auto repair place around I didn't feel like I just been mugged and robbed. I really like that they don't stick it to you with an OK sounding tire place then say oh did you want those mounted? There is mounting rack fee, mounting rack usage fee, mounting rack air connect fee, balancing fee, tempory garage fee, air filling fee, a valve stem fee, a new tire sale fee, and old tire disposal fee, an old tire got my hands dirty fee, chair rental fee in the waiting room. Those places need to offer a lube dispenser on the counter when you walk in. Tire World does none of that, he gave me a tire price and it included everything even tax. read more

My experiences with this store have not been positive. I've needed to go there on 2 separate occasions: once for a state inspection, and once to have a starter rebuilt. Both times I had to go back more than once, due to no fault of my own. When you have to walk both ways, this gets old fast. The first time I was given the wrong part (a battery hold down). More recently they were going to put some parts into a starter for me. I dropped my car off, walked home, and was called later to say they wouldn't do it. I walked back, we decided I would just get a new starter and have them replace it. The manager on shift wouldn't knock off a measly $10 off of the price (which is a little less than the costs I incurred for the parts they told me - twice - that they could replace). His excuse? "We're probably already giving you a good deal anyway". _Probably_? If you don't actually know, then you can't use that as an excuse. I should also mention that when I walked in, the manager did nothing to acknowledge me until I said something. He was sitting behind the counter talking to an old neighbor of his about nothing pertaining to business. It wasn't unti I interrupted them that the manager acknowledged me. I verified that I wasn't interrupting business between the 2, as confirmed by the neighbor. GREAT customer service, eh? While I can appreciate that we're all human and make mistakes, the unwillingness to do anything for my (repeated) wasted time is what I find the most annoying. You lost a customer over $10. Rude, uninformed, and terrible customer service. Needless to say, I won't be going back to this store again. read more
