I recently bought a 2024 Honda CrV. I ran a screw over and mistakenly brought my car to the dealer where they quoted me $1400 for 4 new tires with no explanation as to why or the cost breakdown. I called this Tires Plus location and spoke to Gabriel who was super helpful and explained why 4 tires would be necessary. He broke down the price for everything including tires, alignment and differential flush for lower than what the dealership was quoting me. He and his coworker (I didn't catch his name) were so kind and respectful and just really turned my day around. As a woman it's daunting to have to deal with car repairs on your own, and having employees who aren't condescending and take their time to explain things so you don't feel like an idiot or like you're being taken advantage of, are so important. I've been frequenting this store for over 25 years. This week, I called them and got pricing for new tires. This morning, I went in to purchase said rubber. For over ten minutes, I stood in the lobby without being greeted, much less helped. Employees in the garage looked at me multiple times while I waited. Realizing my business wasn't important to their team, I left and drove straight to Discount Tires. There, an employee greeted me before I even stepped inside. They helped me right away and had new tires on me in just over an hour. The best part is that they beat the Tires Plus pricing by $300. I won't go back to Tires Plus after this experience. They broke the hinges of the hood of my car. They called me for the inspection report and did not mention it. When i took my car back, they did not mention it... And left the hood just sitting in place, not latched, just laying there. As i was driving down the freeway i saw my hood vibrating and knew something was wrong. I safely pulled over (thank goodness I noticed) and found the damage. I called the shop to ask what happened and proceeded to yell at me and said they found it that way (they could have mentioned it on the inspection report). That was a lie, as I had replaced the oil of the car one week before. They should not have released the car to me without telling me about the damage. In fact, I probably would have paid them to fix it. What else did they cover up? Ill bet there was not a nail in my sidewall, they just wanted the money. Do not bring your car here. Facts- Bloomington Firestone (9300 Lyndale Ave S, Bloomington, MN, 55420) owns Minnetonka Tires Plus (12700 Wayzata Blvd, Minnetonka, MN, 55305). Sept 4 I bought 4 tires from Tires plus $1744.39. The following week I called to inquire if an alignment was done at the time I purchased the tires. The guy said no and referred me to their sister company Firestone. Sept 25, 2025 Alignment was performed. I upgraded to a lifetime alignments for 208.99. When I made the appointment he said it would take about 2 hours. Done in 40 minutes. I was grateful and drove away. No alignment paperwork was given to be. April 2026 I brought my car into the dealership for service and was told I needed 2 new front tires. I called Tires plus to verify I purchased the tires a few months earlier with 6-8K miles since my alignment? Tires plus agreed it doesn't sound right. I brought my car in to Tires Plus and spoke to Alan. He berated me and said I needed new tires. He said he doesn't know how bad I drive and referred me to the alignment people and said it wasn't aligned right. He gave me a copy of my alignment (pre and post). I called Firestone and he told me they got new computers so all data is in a box but come in and they will look at my tires. The guy said they put the wrong tires on my car and that is the reason. He showed me the warning that you would have to bypass in order to order these tires for my car. Firestone still no paperwork on original alignment- said he has 2 more boxes to go through. I called and filed an original complaint with their company. I called again 3 days later and the complaint was closed by Alan from tires plus. He said he took care of it. I said no he didn't, I want to talk to someone about how he treated me AND about my alignment. I don't think they ever did one at Firestone. I called the complaint line again- they escalated it to the area, then division, then corporate ladder several times-not one person has called me back. read more

Would give 0 stars if possible. Made an appointment to get a tire patched and was told by Andre that the tire was not repairable and I needed to buy a new set, given the tread. He started in on his sales pitch, but I stopped him and told him that I would not be purchasing tires from him. He seemed taken aback, and explained that I would get the best deal from him. He said that he drives a Subaru, and his daughters drive Subarus, a great try at an emotional appeal. I promptly left and made an appointment at the reputable and trustworthy Youngstedts in Wayzata. Come appointment time, what do you know! The tire was completely repairable, and the tread was also not as low as he claimed! There's lots of talk about mechanics scamming customers, especially those that are young and female, and Andre at Tires Plus in Wayzata is one of them. I am a female 19 year old college student who came in to get my flat tire filled. I had exact directions on making my appointment and I knew it could get fixed being the nail was in the correct spot to get fixed. The staff at this store proceeded to quiz me on what type of car I have explaining that I wouldn't know. I sit and wait for my car to get fixed and they come back and tell me based on the nail position, they can't fix it. They proceed to try and sell me new tires. I was able to get this fixed after a full 3 hour drive on my spare in about 10 minutes. Would not recommend this store because I definitely felt put down just based on my gender. read more

So I went in just to get them looked at, but I was nervous because you can't always trust a place to say there doesn't need to be any work done. I took my truck to thes guys twice, the first time i went (1/14/20) i had just changed both front outer tie rods so i had a front end alignment done. they told me i had corrosion on my battery terminals and they couldnt read the battery, also i had slop in the rack and pinion and that it would need to be changed down the road but that it wasnt that bad. And that i need to have my left inner tie rod changed. Next they said that if i did the inner tie rod with them they could give me a deal on the battery and that the rack service would be 1000 bucks. so all together their deal was 1000 for the rack 165 for the battery and 300 for the inner tie rod. So of course i declined all services except for the alignment. I took it back because I have a warranty for the alignment literally today 1/29/20 an hour later i got a call from aaron or andrew telling me they had to jump start my truck to pull it in and jump start it to get it off the lift but that he would really like to get a new battery on for me, just give him a call(this was in a message).mind you i havent had any problems with the NEW BATTERY!! I GOT WITH THIS TRUCK WHEN I BOUGHT IT BACK IN AUGUST OF 2019. So i went to pick my truck up and asked where my truck was, i was told by andrew that it was in the back lot. Ok you had to jumpstart it twice and you put it in the back lot? He also mentions that the rack is "bad now and i might want to have it changed if i want to keep the truck" I went to my truck and it fired up on the first try (imagine that!) So as im looking over the quote and the work order there is no mention of a battery on the work order, (hmmmm...) long story short watch your pocket when you go here they a shady and will try to cheat you on service and lie to you about what you need!!! I'm gonna try to make a long story short. I got my tires from here...6 months later had to get new brakes and rotors and went to another establishment. Said establishment told me my tires were cupping, due to a tire defect, because of their age they would be under warranty. My suspension and everything looked good otherwise. Went to Tires Plus to 'cash in' my warranty. They told me they would not warranty them because my alignment was off even though the tire was faulty, it wasn't because of my alignment (says the person from the other shop). After much arguing they 'let' me use the warranty, but since I had to pay for the tread I had used, it still cost me almost as much as new tires. They also did my alignment. One month later I went in for an oil change and came out with new tie rods as well, because they were a '9 out of 10' on the severity of needing a repair. Asked how the tie rods went so quickly, they responded with 'they were bad before but didn't need to be done'...um...sorry but you need to have your tie rods 100% to properly do an alignment...if they were even a little loose, they would've needed to be replaced. So after paying them nearly 800 bucks in a months time, I will pass on going here again, I don't trust them. If you need a quick oil change, great, but don't let them scare you into doing anything else to your car, get a second opinion. I gave them two stars only because they were accommodating and got me in quickly with my first tire issue. read more

Here's a follow-up of my most recent cost to Tires Plus. This current staffed guys helped me raise my car from unsafe status upon entering this facility to complete restoration of my( corroded floorboards) chassis, fuel pump, gas tank, water pump. My car which has so much sentimental value, now rides better than it has and is better on gas mileage. Honestly. There's no other place that would do this work. Zero Stars. First time Customer. Terrible experience. I scheduled and appointment for an alignment. I arrived, checked in and had a seat. 22 minutes went by and my car was still sitting there. No ONE said a word to me. I went up to the desk and asked Mike how long the wait would be. I was told "We are very busy". I advised I understood that, but I have an appointment. Mike said they will get my car in next, which they did. Mike asked if I would like to pay and told me it would be $89.99. I told him I had a quote online attached to my appointment for $79.99. They couldn't find it- so I had to retrieve it from my email confirmation. When my car was complete, the Auto Tech came out and handed papers to the Mike- who threw them in the trash can behind him. I asked to see the papers and he dug them out of the garbage. The spec sheet indicated that one side of my car was not aligned all the way. I asked about this and was told that's "Super close" and "As close as they could get- which is common". Now we're onto the payment process. I showed him my quote for $79.99 and Mike says "It will be $85.00 okay?" I asked what the other money was for - taxes? And Mike Replied "YES". I left, and on the way home I realized there is no Tax on service in the state of Minnesota. So I called Mike. I asked about the additional money charged on my bill. I saw that this was labeled "Shop Parts". I asked what parts would be required on an alignment. Mike told me "We put a tie rod in your car". I know enough about cars- to know this is asinine. I told Mike "no you didn't". He then said, it was for "Shop parts- an end cap". I informed him that this job was an alignment which requires ZERO parts. He then said it's a standard fee they charge on all services. I told him, that's interesting because you told me it was TAX when I was in the store paying, then parts, now it's a charge for everyone? I called the manager. He agreed to refund my money in full, which they did. I had to DRIVE back to the store to complete the refund because they couldn't do it over the phone. Not happy. read more

This place is only a few blocks from my home. It was very convienant but the place is just shady. Every time I bring my truck or car here it seems to always get 'broken' where they need to do $500 in work. From brakes/rotors being over charged, to constantly finding little things broken with the wheels. I really think the damage your vehicle and are always lying about the service. I would never bring your car here. Avoid this place like the plague. read more

Worst service I have ever experienced getting car repairs. I had a leak in a tire and they told me they had sealed it, but my low tire pressure light stayed on. I came back telling them it had not been fixed and they didn't even check tire pressure, but said the light was just wrong. My tire is still flat and they failed to seal it at all. Wife's almost new car had leak in tire and went to this Tire Plus. They tell her that it is not repairable because it has a large hole and because I tried to seal with Fix A Flat - but they will sell her a new tire for $280 but it will take 24-48 hours to get the tire. Wife takes car to Car Dealer who says they will replace tire for $225. Car dealer checks out tire and says it has a small hole that is easily repairable - recommends local garage who fixes tires in 15 minutes for $25 - we have had no issue since. Always high quality work, they will usually let me know if something is going to take longer. I live and work in the area so it's convenient for me, but unlike other repair areas, I never have to take it back. I've never had to discover something wrong after I leave. Shady, creepy manager who doesn't give the straight scoop. Horrible customer service. Bought new breaks and rotors at Tires Plus. Had problems with the brakes beginning two days later and stopped into another service center that I like. They told me they were stunned the car was operating because some fastener (or whatever) wasn't tightened correctly and the brakes were hanging there basically. I paid the other service center to repair the problem because the vehicle wasn't drivable. They said they knew the Tires Plus people and to go over to them to tell them about the problem and that tires plus could call them. I did that and tires plus totally denied everything. Didn't even call the other service center. They are no where cheaper than anyone else. Service sucks, shady and creepy, won't stand behind their work. Not worth doing any business with them. If I could give no stars I would. Unfortunately, a while back there was a big shift in management at this location. I had been a loyal customer while Gary was the manager/owner. After the change over I have had nothing but problems. Today I went in for an oil change. Everything was fine. I drove off and my tire pressure light came on. So naturally I turned the car around and drove back. When I arrived Susan (aka Susie) asked I pull up to bay 3 for the tech to check my pressure. As instructed I pulled up facing the entrance to bay 3. The tech immediately said "can you not listen? she said pull along the building, are you a moron?". I was shocked, speechless at first, so I instinctively apologized and immediately the tech proceeded to say "back it up sweetheart (AND winked at me)". This really rattled me. Verbal sexual harassment while at Tires Plus was quite the shock. Then the tech tried to tell me I was going to hit the building as I was attempting to back further away from it (BACKING AWAY, MAKING IT IMPOSSIBLE TO HIT THE BUILDING). I exited my vehicle and asked him to position it as he needed and check my tires. I then asked if the manager was on. I told the service manager Sussie what happened with another employee present, they were not shocked of Mike's (the tech) behavior and seemed like it has happened before. I left after they fixed my tire pressure and called the corporate office, which when I asked Sussie for the number she couldn't seem to find it though it is right on the website. Once I called the customer service line they then called the service location to report my complaint, funny enough the service location thought the customer service rep from Tires Plus was my father (? yes my father??? very puzzling.. a) why would my father call and b) did the customer service rep not identify themselves). I hope this never happens to anyone else. Mike the tech saying "sweetheart", winking, and calling me a "moron" may sound very juvenile and like I should maybe dismiss it, but honestly it was the worst feeling. OH and the first strike was last year when they didn't replace the O ring on the oil plate screw and all the oil leaked out of my car... should have learned that time, but I am a forgiving person people make mistakes, we all make mistakes. But that behavior was intentional and I will not stand for being treated that way. I recommend finding a different location for your tire and service needs. Not worth the harassment. read more
