Anyways I notice when going to work early morning my Chevy Trailblazer (Who I named Old Faithful) was reving really hard. As I continued to drive it out to where I had to go the Check Engine light went on. I had this problem before which is an Engine Misfire. On one of the Sparkplugs and Cylinders. I had contact my relative and she sent me to Midas In Eden Prairie, MN. Boy DID I MAKE A BIG MISTAKE. Midas told me I had to replace a whole cylinder head!! IT was gonna cost me $6k!! That is like a good used car! On top of that they we're inspecting other parts of the car that was not necessary! Unfortunately, I had to pay $122 for the diagnostic but I by change had contacted on Craig's List another Mechanic who referred me to Erik. I had told Erick and he himself was shocked at my story! He new Midas was BS-ing and I went to him. My engine was still fine! I just needed new spark plugs which he believed Midas technicians damage by pulling it out the improper way and new great quality coils which I should have don vs buying from Ebay. Auto Repair is a lot like Human Repair and frankly, going somewhere big and fancy with marble floors, a lobby barista, and a piano player by a fireplace means absolutely nothing when it comes to competence. In fact, there is likely an inverse relationship to the level of fancy amenities and ability to actually fix what is wrong. Glitz can cover up a lot and I guarantee that if I am shot or stabbed, I want to go to the County Trauma Center and not the place with building wings endowed by a sheik. The same is true for my LRs. When they need help, they go here and not the fancy dealer with the glass showroom. Owned and operated by Eric, he got his initial training by LR and then left the dealer to open his own shop. He was factory trained and I have been bringing my babies to him for about 20 years. In that time, he has been fair, given me some great advice, and helped me keep my LRs running well which is saying something as my newest one is 15 years old and my oldest ones are 23 years old. Prices are within reason (especially when compared to dealers) but the real win is that he and his staff know their way around a LR. Just drive onto their lot and it looks like a LR playground because there are no less than a dozen different ones parked there at any point in time to admire. Over the years his reputation and business has grown which speaks volumes as dedicated LR owners can be a fickle group and hold very specific requirements on who can actually touch their LRs. When walking in, I received a very positive greeting that made me feel like my business was truly appreciated. Even if a simple oil change. I have called an learned my date preference wasn't available but loved the reasons - one weekend a member of the crew was getting married and everyone wanted to go. The only other time was before a Holiday and the owner wanted his team to get off work on time. Every aspect of the customer experience seems thought out. Waiting area is nice but not overdone. Music is nice and upbeat but not too loud. The waiting space is clean. I even received a holiday card and I only visited Inline X three times. When bringing in my car for more major issues, Nhia explained his findings in lay person terms and provided me options. There was no hint of disappointment or degradation of service when I selected the low or mid tier repair option. I don't like coughing up dollars for auto repaired any more than the next guy. do not ever use this shop, ever!…read more 3 incidents with them of complete incompetence followed by gaslighting. 1st was installed new supercharger pulley in sl55. they put it in and told me it was factory defective with a little slop in it. they said "it should be all right though, and we'll monitor it everytime you come in!" a few thousand miles later this m113 engine had catastrophic internal damage with oil in the intake. alex at eurocharged found me a used m113 engine and we paid eurocharged $11,000 to put it in. around 2000 miles after installed, this engine also suffered catastrophic internal damage, with no engine compression. aj at eurocharged was unwilling to help, and said get your car picked up now out of our lot, we have no one to work on your car, i lost two technicians. it's aj's world, its not about the customers, it is not about doing the right thing, it's about aj's profits. read the other reviews, they have to upsell now to even stay in business. research eurocharged, they're co-owned by a cpa, someone focused on profits, not fixing cars the right way. go to imola, eurcharged has zero integrity left. if you're still reading this, here's the 3rd incident of eurocharged's incompetence: $1500 michelon pilot sports aj ordered and then after they mounted and balanced them, aj said one wheel was irreparable. he said he couldn't return the tires, and for me to eat the $1500 bill. basically again saying eurocharged has zero responsibility when it comes to their screwups. i told eurocharged the tire wasn't holding air from the wheel being bent before i even dropped the car off. they said they fixed the wheel, ordered the tires, and then decided it was unfixable.
