I have been in the automotive aftermarket for more than 35 years in various roles. For more than a decade I ran a shop. Treating people the way you would like to be treated was my rule. The work here is ok though honestly I've only had tire work and maintenance performed. My low rating is based on asking how long for the work to be done (oil change and tire repair). Sabotage!! My truck runs perfect I know for a fact because I drive it every day now since I brought my truck to this store it wants to shut off on my at red lights. It starts to sputter like it wants do turn off. I originally brought my vehicle here to have my tires rotated that's it. There's no reason to pop the hood and start digging around. No ever since they pop the hood and did their so called wellness check my truck has been running terrible and I called them and told them and they just deny any existing problems that do not involve a tire rotation. They don't even want me to come back and they won't fix it they just deny deny deny. These people will sabotage your vehicle so you have to come back for more work and spend more money they are crooks. I needed to replace two tires; checked Tires Plus(never went) and set up to purchase two for installation... Looked Good! Got a call stating that three (3) tires needed to be replaced. I didn't remember there being a THIRD but took them for their word. I had just finished a class in Osceola County and it felt like my engine just "dropped". Still drivable I just drove north on OBT because i knew I'd run into a legitimate name brand car repair place eventually. I found this one first, and glad that I did. They did a good comprehensive check in what was necessary. Unlike another place closer to home, of a different name, they didn't tell me I needed things just to try to up their cost ratios. They didn't tell me all of this without giving me an estimate price. They showed me the list of the things my car needed to be safe on the road again. Btw ... the lead man at the desk, said that another place is trying to head-hunt him to going there. Hopefully this place does what they need to to keep him there. He doesn't just tend to the customer ... he knows cars himself, so when a mechanic says a car needs this or that, he'll look himself to be sure the car REALLY needs this or that. They are also very willing to give or show you the old part that needs replacing, and why it needs to be replaced. This is an older car, but since I've had it, 4 years now, it never needed any major repairs, until this one. It's a good car and I was thinking about selling it, but with this great repair service, and the warranties that come along with it, I think it is safe to keep it. So happy with the way these guys got me in on a busy Sunday, took the time to get the work done right, and give honest answers and estimates. I live way in the other side of town, but thinking it's worth the drive to here if I find that I need something more than the basic oil change, tune-ups, and the sort. Brought my car in to get 2 new tires. They told me all of my brake hoses were burst and leaking brake fluid. I told them not to fix it. I went home, put brake fluid in and haven't had any leakage since. 3 weeks later, a twig went through my tire and i got a flat. I didn't buy their cheapest used tire, I got the new tires they suggested. 3 weeks later a twig punctures it? They were going to charge me for a new tire because the puncture was outside the tread. Shopped around for some tires for a BMW, most places will take 3-4 hours or more to get the tires. They got it within an hour from the warehouse. They install and had roadside hazard protection at a lower price than the other 10 places I called including discount tire, Goodyear, sears, and etc. they got the job done super fast and I was in and out within 1 hour. They are also close to Popeyes and taco bell so you can get lunch while they work on your car. read more

I have been a customer of this location for over 5 years, and it is safe to say I will not be returning here anymore as they have gone downhill the past few years. The manager Robert got upset with me because I called corporate To complain about my truck tires that I received from them. Also to complain that they constantly when I make an appointment they have my vehicle there for 2 to 3 days for a job that is .7 hours, with parts there. You get when you drop it off at 8:30 in the morning and you're the second customer and they take and everyone else and don't even touch the car for the day. Robert probably will last about another year or so at that location along with Oscar. Then I might go back to that location. I do not recommend this company's location at all to anyone. They're having a hard time keeping good Technicians under the current management. the ones that are there like to walk around with soda pop and sandwiches and eat all day. I have had issues here before and started going to the one in Hunter's creek where we found Tony.We stayed because of him and his ethics .He explaines everything before he does it and makes no promise he cannot keep.He left that location and we did too as the service went straight down with the lack of care and ethics..and lies just to get our $$$$..We found Tony yesterday at this location and were terribly excited because we knew once again we were in good hands..just in time.My Jeep decided to part ways with her clutch as I was bringing her in to replace it and Will and crew could not have been nicer and taken better care of us.I was again driven home so I wasn't stranded by one of the guys there..total gentleman. Will never go back here again. Went in for an oil change and tire rotation. Went to pick up car and they said all was taken care of. Before we left we checked the tires and they were NOT rotated. I asked the guy again and he said they did it. I told him there was no way because we marked the tires to make sure of this. They lied. Scum bags. Do not go here. They will purposely mess up your car or they will not do everything they are supposed to. I had to watch and make sure they rotated them before I left. Who know if they even changed the filter. I went for the $17.99 special but was denied! (store #227196) They were forcing me to get the full synthetic $54.99 because it was "specified by the manufacturer"and said they wouldn't do it. Mean while my 2017 Nissan Pathfinder has been getting oil changes at the Nissan dealership complimentary for a year using 5W30, lame excuse to try and up sell a more expensive product. I've been a customer for over 10 years and wanted to continue my oil changes on my new vehicle at your place, not anymore!....sorry about the rant but I've been coming here for years with my other vehicles and never had a problem like this. read more

Tony is the Best, Call & Make an appointment talk to Tony if possible & he will give you a honest answer about wait times ect. He is straight up & doesn't try to overcharge & or Sell you unnecessary parts & other tricks a lot of places will do. Note . Good place to go if your female or not mechanically inclined Tony is the store manager with many years experience he treats your car like his own & will do you right. Don't waste time talking to anyone else before you talk to Tony about the problems & he will make sure the jobs done right. I would Highly recommend you call & make a appointment if you can because of staff shortages & high volume of business . You can make the appointment online or by calling. If you can't do it within 6 months then you have to pay back interest. Good thing Tires plus credit card will basically give Anyone a Line of Credit. Plus no Annual Fee, Cons high interest & if you don't pay the introductory Zero interest in 6 months you will get hit with lots of interest & pay 22% interest ! Tires Plus, Hunters Creek, Auto Repair SCAM! Do not trust these crooks! I brought my 2014 Porsche 911 S to Tires Plus in Hunters Creek, where I live. I've taken my cars there for years. I've heard a number of other outraged customers complaining that they were being cheated, that the price was higher than they were quoted, etc., but I never thought I should check out their reviews. My mistake! So I parked my Porsche there with its nail in the right rear tire. I found out about it because it had a very slow leak. The manual calls for 42 PSI. I would fill it when it got down to 38, which was about once a month. For months it never got worse, and I thought it must a valve or a poor rim seal. So I took the car to the Porsche dealer and the technician yelled out to a compatriot, "Hey, Bill, can you come out here and run over my head?" That, I found out, meant he would lie on the ground with his eyes just behind that tire and the guy would drive the car slowly forward and he would yell "stop!" when he saw the nail. Almost immediately he did. "That's your problem," he said. I got down and looked at the end of a nail. "I've got good news and bad news," he said. The bad news is that Porsche doesn't repair tires. It's against our policy. The good news is that what you've got here doesn't need a new tire. We won't do it, but any reputable tire place can put a patch in it. See where the nail is? Right smack in the middle of the tread. That's a great place for it to be. If it was near the edge, you'd have to get a new tire, because there's too much wall flex near the edge." And that's how I wound up at Tires Plus with my Porsche. I told him the story, left the car, and walked home. Two hours later another guy called. "Your tire can't be repaired. It has to be replaced. I've got it figured up here for you, and it will be $486.27 all told." "Wait!" I said. I saw that nail! It's right in the center of the treads!" He hesitated, then said, "Oh yeah, we saw that one too, but there's another one right at the edge of the treads, near the sidewall." "Two nails?" I said. "Are you kidding me? You know, the thing only loses about 3 PSI every month!" "Yeah, when we put it under water," he said, "it bubbled there, real slow, but it bubbled." "Don't do anything," I said. "I'll be right there to pick up my car." "Should I order the tire?" I heard as I hung up. read more

I generally don't write reviews at all, but I thought this place deserved the attention of potential customers. I came to this place early on a saturday, about 2 weeks ago to check on my A/C. I briefly explained to the service rep that the A/C runs nice and smooth when I'm on the expressway, but when I'm driving on the streets and the cars is iddle at a red light, the a/c stops cooling - in fact I could hear the fan cycling, I described all the symptoms to the service rep. After 2 hours, the mechanic tells me that the compressor was blowing cold air when he manually provided power, but for some reason it wasn't getting any direct power, so he wanted to run an electrical diagnostic- since the problem did not not seem to be mechanical. Another 2 hours passed, and here comes the service rep telling me that compressor is bad, not only that, he proceeds to tell me that the condenser and evaporator also require replacements, with an estimated total of ~$2k!!!When I asked how could this go back from electrical to mechanical, his only answer was that the compressor was not engaging, and stopped from providing me any more details. Ok, so how can a compressor not work when I explained that it works fine when the car is on the expressway? That the only issue was when the car stops for a long time, is when the a/c goes stops blowing cool air. Well, I was not spending $2k with no logical explanation. I finally got my car back 4 hours later and noticed that the A/C was not working at all, the condenser fan was not even engaging as it used to. That was not how my car was before I gave them the keys to perform the check-up. After 2 days of driving in the middle of Florida summer weather I decided to look for another mechanic. I described everything that was happening with the car before and after taking it to Tires Plus. After running the initial check- he said as the first mechanic stated, that the problem seemed to be electrical and not mechanical. I then asked why the condenser fan and compressor stopped engaging after taking it to Tires Plus - he did not want to point fingers but proceeded to show me where the wires were probed as evidence and likely loaded the wrong voltage when doing the electrical diagnostic. After further diagnostics, he was able to find the root cause of the problem - a FAULTY Temperature Control unit. Total repair cost, you may ask- less than $300. When I think about it, if I'd spend the $2k at Tires Plus for replacing the compressor, they would have probably realized that it still wasn't working, proceed to do more electrical diagnostics, find out the problem, and charge me additionally for the problem, and likely would never admit to the issue. I wouldn't be mad if they couldn't figure out the problem, but if your mechanic did not understand the issue, I rather be told the truth and not be scammed for a problem they did not understand. This is not how a business should be operated. read more
