Their service is always quick and their staff is always friendly, especially their mechanic. A little, possibly already-known, hack you can do is to take the diagnostics report that your auto repair shop chain creates for you after performing a service and bring it to Adams to see if their mechanic is able to help you with the repairs. They'll more than likely have to order the parts and you'll need to return again once they arrive but I can almost guarantee you the pricing will beat the big name auto repair shops.

I was greeted immediately by the staff member at the front desk. She was super welcoming and made you feel like you were walking into her home. I told her the reason I was coming in... and she was able to squeeze me in on the same day, which I truly appreciated it. I had advised her that I wasn't sure if my tire could be saved or if I would have to buy a new tire. After making that statement my mind automatically thought the worst... and figured they might tell me to buy a new tire since it would be more profit for them... but to my surprise after 40 mins the gentlemen working on my car said that he was all done and they were able to just patch my tire...and the pricing was way less then what I thought it was going to be. The gentlemen even went as far as to help me loosen the knob on my spare tire as well...after I expressed concerns about it being on too tight. Without hesitation, he automatically went to go grab his tools to assist me, which I truly appreciated since he didn't even have to go out of his way to do that. This location at Michigan and Delaney is dependable and quick - 15 minutes in and out for an oil change just as advertised. When I pulled into the business, I was greeted by Matt. I said I just needed an oil change, and he said to pull in behind the car in the bay area, and I would have no more than a 2-3-minute wait. True to his word, I pulled in within 3 minutes, and he was ready to service my vehicle. He properly explained my options, as well as any additional services I could consider after the free maintenance check. Similar to my last visit, no hard sell, just things to consider even for future service. Although I did not need any additional services, I did make a note of his recommendation to go with synthetic oil for my next change given the amount of mileage on my vehicle. I appreciated Matt's service and consultation. Finally, the Yelp app offered a link to coupons available for Valvoline's various services, and I received a $7 discount on my oil change. I had a nail in my tire and I arrived at 5:45 pm and by 6:00 pm I was able to drive safe to my house. I had stopped during my lunch hour and asked DJ the manager, if I could come back after work. They close at 6:00 pm, but he said that they would wait for me. I had called other places, but they refused to help me because of the time. Not DJ, he even called me and let me know that he had reserved the tire for me and that Abdul would wait for me to install the tire. If I had gone home with that tire, I would have had a flat in the morning and it would have been hard to get it fix and be at work at 7:30am. They were my angels. I came in the next morning for the appointment where I was greeted by Trevor. He informed me that I did not have an appointment. I showed him my call history and told him that I called the day before and made an appointment. He said that it wasn't their phone number, so I showed him on google where it is the phone number connected to his location. He seemed inconvenienced to accommodate me, but agreed to fit me in. About an hour later, I received a phone call where Trevor told me that I needed a brake fluid flush, a coolant flush, and a spark plug tuneup. I told him that I just had my brakes replaced and just got a new engine with new spark plugs. He continued to advise me that I needed these services and specifically told me that my brake fluid failed a test of some kind. I called the people who replaced my brakes, and they assured me that I did not need a brake fluid flush. I confirmed that my dealership did a coolant flush and replaced the spark plugs. I tried to call back but was left on hold, so I hung up and returned to the dealership. I told Trevor that I had confirmed that my car doesn't actually need any of the services he said I needed, and he rather snarkily responded "it was a simple recommendation based on the mileage." My impression of this interaction was that this Firestone location was actively trying to sell me unnecessary services either 1) knowing that I didn't need them or 2) without confirming that I did need them. It left a bad taste in my mouth and I will not be returning to this location.

Hi, this review is in regards to a bad experience I had with this company. I do not care what these…read morepeople say. They are dishonest. I came in because I was smelling smoke from my vehicle but I didn't really know exactly where it was coming from but had my theory it was the tires. The lady said that the diagnostics would be 16.99 and I actually repeated it to her 16.99?, and she agreed. I said, "I think there might be something wrong with my tires." Me and the manager went outside. He looks at my vehicle and says "oh it's probably your tires, it's rubbing the rotors" or something to that effect but then he says, "let's wait on the mechanic to make sure that's what's wrong with the vehicle." As i'm walking to the door, he says "she told you the diagnostics is 16 .99 correct" and I said "yes." The mechanic gets there. The lady they have at the front desk (kind of heavyset with dark brown hair) gave me dirty looks the whole time. The mechanic lifted the car looked at my tires and said "it was my rotors etc." They never performed an actual diagnostics test where they hooked the car up to a machine and actually told me what is wrong with my car. He made no effort to do that. I got no paper or information on anything that was wrong with my car except what I stated above. I never received a full diagnostics test. The mechanic came and told me the same thing I already previously was suspecting and the manager agreed with. The time comes to pay and this dude charges me about $74.54, so confused I said I thought you guys said it was 16.99 and then he says no it's 69.99 but because of their accents, I think they use their accents to confuse people and then charge them anyway because he pronounced it correctly, then. I could've gotten what they did at AutoZone for free! I would never go to them work on my vehicle. One of the things I cannot stand is a dishonest mechanical company. They seem like they scam people on the regular. They don't honor their customers. Even if it was a matter of miscommunication, I never received a full diagnostics test to charge me that amount. He should've at least negotiated a cheaper price because of the misunderstanding but no. They took all of my money 70 something dollars to tell me the same thing I already probably suspected and just to look at my vehicle with their eyes. They honestly think that's fair and the way they should do business. Their fake personality and fake nice behavior with "certain customers" doesn't fool me. They are dishonest. They even added tax on it, lol. I guess they're taxing their vision now. Even if it is was 69.99 they added tax, so it wasn't the price they originally told me. They never said plus tax and how is it even considered a taxable item? Unfortunately, I paid them with my cash app card and cash app does not care about disputes and is a garbage company when it comes to those matters.
