Like any touristy gift shops, things are bound to be a bit more expensive but everything was carefully crafted and fun. My mom, uncle, and I were in the store for a solid 15 minutes, with three employees and we didn't get a single greeting or acknowledgment. I wouldn't have thought anything of it if it wasn't for the fact that I was holding items to buy and they were greeting other patrons. I'm normally not one to leave unsatisfactory reviews but it felt a bit more than just "bad service" & maybe more like client profiling.

They have an assortment of striped shirts in a multitude of colors that just shout Nordic. Large selection of uniquely designed dish towers and dish cloths, I wanted them all! Of course there is a Christmas section with the most charming Santa's and gnomes in traditional red and white. Even a Christmas tree draped in ornaments for sale. Lots of items with colorful fish designed items: mugs, bowls, paper napkins, dish towels, cards. Make sure to check out the various Lutefisk mugs and their funny sayings. Along one of the walls is an assortment of Finnish licorice, Nordic treats, Icelandic chocolate and saltlakrits. We picked up several items for ourselves and Nordic friends. I'm from Astoria but couldn't for the life of me find any shops open…read moreon a Sunday that sold Christmas ornaments here in December beyond the horrible big box stores, so drove down to Seaside and after making quick escapes from gift shops down the street that only sold things made in China, I discovered Shine Fair Trade, with an incredibly cheerful sales clerk who made me feel welcome and who you could tell really loved her job. Along with featuring locally made items they have an amazing selection of fair trade products including clothing and jewelry and home decor and lots of little fun things as well...even food and yes, really cool Christmas ornaments! so nice to have a place like this on the North Coast and I can't wait to go back.

The owner was in the phone at the counter and went running out to the sidewalk screaming that everyone needed to stop making sound.
