ELEVATED SLANTED PARK (4.5 stars)…read more I love this park! Dog friendly but not specifically a dog park. A lot of people lay out and picnic. The views are amazing - you can see downtown and the beaches. There is a parking lot but it can get packed. Once a year they do a music event here. Summers it's packed. I've had picnic here with friends and they love the view and park. I've had lazy chill days here with my dog and we enjoy the scenery. Cool park!

The Dolores Park of San Diego…read more I found this place during COVID and have been coming ever since. If you're looking for a birthday hang, a picnic date, a sunset spot, a place to read, chill with your pup spot, or make some art, this park has you covered. It's the perfect spot for any occasion. The views are breathtaking and the vibe is super laid‑back. There are always plenty of people around, so it feels like one big community hang. If you're lucky, you might even catch someone DJing or playing music everyone can enjoy. They also offer community yoga classes here -- I haven't signed up yet, but it's nice to know it's an option. The park is pretty steep in some areas, so you might need to walk around a bit to find a flat spot where you're not sitting at an incline. I'd recommend bringing chairs, blankets, and any shade essentials you might need since there aren't many tree‑shaded areas. Parking is tough and the bathrooms are your typical not‑so‑great public park bathrooms, but don't let that stop you from experiencing the best park in San Diego.

I run through this park often. I walk through it to get wine from the store. It's beautiful, very…read morewell maintained. It has two baseball/softball fields, a bathroom and lots of shady trees. However, the parking lot is too small to accommodate the traffic that softball brings. Which creates a traffic nightmare with lots of pedestrians in the roadway. Top secret info: Police often park their cars in this lot after sundown. The parking lot faces a stop sign, it's basically like shooting fish in a barrel. Once a month, a nearby church sponsors an outdoor movie night here. Kids just love it. The best time to come is on the weekday mornings. A group of older gentlemen race their R/C cars on the baseball diamond, which is always fun to watch. Do be careful though, I've never seen a dog on a leash at this park.

First off I will start by saying this review is solely based on the fields and the cleanliness of…read morethe surrounding area. I played here when I was younger and now I'm bringing my son to the same field, the place hasn't changed at all. The moment you pull in there is a play area to your left and a newly built skate park. Both areas are always clean and not littered with trash or solicitors. There is also private security for the neighborhood that it is placed in. They patrol the area regularly to make sure there is no defiance in the park. Bathrooms are always well kept and clean. Area is well light from the lights over hanging from the fields. Long story short there's a little something for every age of youth.

First time to this baseball park. We were here for a 13U baseball tournament where games were…read moreplayed on the Big Field. The field itself was disappointing. There was so much loose dirt all along the backstop and along the 1B and 3B areas. When a ball landed in this area, it created a dirt cloud/puff. All the players shoes and socks were caked with dirt by the end of the first inning. Have you noticed how many times I've mentioned dirt? The grass IF and OF needs to be cared for; there are areas of rolling hills inside the lines that needed to be avoided; including right in front of the batters box. This field is playable, but it has so much potential. The next topic was the bathrooms. The Men's area smelled like something crawled and died in there. The Women's area was just a little bit better. Dogs were NOT allowed to enter the fan area. So be forewarned not to bring your 4 legged friend unless you want to watch the game from the OF
