We came down to this Boomers in Vista from Orange County because they have slowly been demolishing/doing away with the Boomers up there. There's still the one in Irvine but it's seen better days (they took out the waterslides, the mini golf is kinda sad, etc.). This Boomers in Vista (San Diego) is awesome! -They have a 2 story arcade -They have bumper boats -They have race cars (need to be 58" to drive by yourself but they also have cars for 2 people) -They have batting cages -They have laser tag -They have a large free parking lot My favorite thing about this Boomers is: -They have the most amazing mini golf! They have 2 mini golf courses: 1) pirate themed and 2) castle themed and both of the courses are really well maintained and have really cool features and tons of different obstacles. They have water features, the pirate course is 2 stories tall, they have really interesting holes, it's not just turf they have imitation sand and water and "rough" - the mini golf is really great here! I will gladly drive down from Orange County to come here to San Diego County because this Boomers is great! Just be warned they don't open until 11am on Sundays. read more

I'd say 3 stars is pretty accurate, but more like 2.5. This place needs some serious rennovation, like more than one bathroom. The only bathroom was upstairs, with a broken elevator. Want to wash your hands? Too bad. The carpets inside were disgusting. AC was wonky indoors. Snack shack was kind of gross. Just dingy. Everything needs a refresh. That said, this place is a descent spot to have some activities although its pricey for being overall sticky and out of date. You get mini golf, lazer tag, go carts, bumper boats, arcade, batting cages and a sunburn. And maybe hand foot mouth. Can we PLEASE get an out door bathroom and places to wash hands?! I really think there should be a family pass, but it's $50/person for unlimited activities which is pretty pricy, but I guess it's better than an hour in an escape room. For $150 you can get an entire annual membership to any museum....plus lunch. It's just super expensive. Probably won't go more than a couple times a year, but it's fine. With legoland passes I just can't justify the price....and the stickiness of it all. Pack hand wipes, and a pee bucket. read more

What a fun place to bring students to! You pay one price for a wristband and get to play miniature golf, drive go-karts, drive water tubes, and hit the batting cages! It's a great place to let teens just been themselves and have fun! I didn't try any of the attractions because I was only visiting the group for a short time. The minute I walked through the door Tyree openly greeted me and shook my hand welcoming me to the establishment. Zion was so helpful no matter how many times i had to come back and get more bands for my teams parents or other kids. David jumped in with running food, and helping with our drink pitchers. Such and awesome and pleasant staff. Im only reading the other reviews now, so i guess we got lucky on coming on a day it wasnt busy. The food took a while to come out, but Im sure the kitchen wasnt ready for hte amount of food we were going to order, so it was no problem at all. Everyone had a great time with all the rides. The only suggestion i would make is to make a bigger sign for the laser tag area - none of my kids knew there was laser tag until I asked them toward the end. The other suggestion - is a stronger margarita slush - it was premixed but i honestly think it didnt have any alcohol at all. Definitely will book our next team bonding when we return in July. My daughter, future son-in-law, wife and I drove down from Dana Point for some putt putt golf on a warm and sunny Saturday morning. Boomers has two courses to choose from and we selected somewhat randomly the Pirates course. The "greens fees" were a little steep for me at $16 a person but the course was in great shape so perhaps worth it. We had an enjoyable round together. There were several challenging and varying holes. I appreciated that the carpet was in good condition for straighter and more reliable putts. The big waterfall in the center provided some respite from the beating sun but mind the flying bugs in the caves. We played quickly through there. All in all a great time and we will return to try the other course. read more

So I haven't been here since I was a kid, but my little sister and niece wanted to do an activity, this seemed like a perfect place. We came on a Friday and I had no idea they have a DJ on Friday nights this summer. They offer their unlimited tickets for most of the attractions, which is a great deal. We also did the batting cages which is a separate charge. The batting cages were the highlight by far! It's a great summer activity, especially since it doesn't get dark until after 8pm. Also, I did park near the bumper boats and they do have signs warning you that your car may get wet, but it wasn't in front of the area I parked at. Currently there are three different purchasing options/packages at the moment, fortunately discounted since it was Memorial Day weekend (25% off). A $29 two hour unlimited, a $39 4 hour unlimited and an all day $49 unlimited. Don't be mislead as we unfortunately were, the packages only include mini golf, bumper boats, laser tag and go karts. They do not include the batting cages, arcade, or food options. Other than the clarifications, always a great place to be at. Can't miss with the mini golf. Honestly amazing! Came here with my 5 and 3 year old on a Friday and was surprised it wasn't busier. The arcade was the only arcade we've ever been to that we felt was a good deal! They don't rip people off. Your purchased tickets actually go really far and most games and experiences are 2-4 tickets. I was so impressed and we left feeling like we really got our money worth! And the kids were STOKED on all of the little prizes they got from the tickets they won. We will definitely be back!! Seriously so fun and thank you for not being a rip off!! This is the only Boomers in San Diego county. It's located right off the 78 hwy. You can't miss it! One thing is sure, they pack alot into a small lot. The mini golf course is decent. We came on a Wednesday afternoon. They open at 12p.m. The kids school had a field trip here. Everything was included except the video games. We had the entire party room. The microphone wasn't working though. They provided pizza and drinks. The pizza slices were small. It's just Ok pizza, nothing special. Since it was a Wednesday, the rides were understaffed. They have signs that the rides were open but on a rotational basis. If you want to ride, you'll have to contact someone. It wasn't a real problem as not everyone wants to do batting cages or bumper cars. The favorites were laser tag and car races. Overall, it was a great day! read more

There's only a few Boomers still around and overall it's a great place to entertain both kids and adults. There are many different attractions on site including go karts, laser tag, water bummer boats, batting cages, mini golf, a 2 story indoor arcade center, a burger and pizza joint, and 2 small rides. You can purchase your tickets ahead of time online which will save you $2-3 per ticket. You can purchase a 2 hr, 4 hr, or all day pass but it only includes mini golf, laser tag, go kart, bummer boats, and the 2 rides. The battling cage and arcade games are a separate cost. My main issue is that it was too busy to enjoy the activities. We went on a Sunday around lunch time and do not recommend coming on a weekend unless you like waiting in lines and dealing with crowds. On the mini golf course, you're waiting for people to finish so you can go to the next hole. For all the rides, it was at least a 20-30 min wait. We spent $29 per person and only got to do one round of mini golf and one ride of the golf kart within 3 hrs. Of course the arcade was not full so the kids wanted to play them. Each game cost $1-3 and only lasted a minute each so it was easy to blow through another $20 for the arcade games. It's a costly outing (easily over $100) to come here especially if you have a big family. Maybe it's worthwhile to stop by during the weekday when it's not busy and you can actually enjoy all the activities included with the package. Not sure if I'd return on a weekend. read more

I have been going here since I was a child (way back when it was called Family Fun Center), and over the years it has had its ups and downs as it has changed managers and owners. Boomers Vista is currently getting a face lift as it is once again changing ownership. We had a birthday party here the other day, and all of the staff was so helpful! Every single staff member was kind, answered questions, and was excedingly attentive--far above what was expected. I specifically want to shout out Roberto who helped us with our play passes and fished my son's card out of a game that he dropped it into, David who was super helpful with our food and making sure we had everything we needed, and Bill the General Manager who made sure everything went smoothly and made sure to help us out with getting a first responders discount. As expected, our littlest one had to sit a lot of it because he didn't meet the height requirements, but he did get to join in with the mini golf, which he enjoyed. Melody helped me plan the details in the weeks leading up to the party, and once there the entire staff was extremely attentive and made sure the kids had a blast. Went here for Mother's Day and as a family we had fun . Mini golfed , Go-carts , bumper boats .. arcade games ... good times ! Added in a slushy too ! However here's why 4 stars .. our experience was created by us .. definitely wasn't enhanced by the staff that worked there . The person that was in charge of laser tag clearly hated his life and everyone around him .. the golf counter workers were the best .. they actually engaged with the guests. The poor girl at the food area was by herself and obviously, not to her fault , slowed service down . The Go Kart man was on top of his job , but I could sense his vibe of " is it time to go home yet " . Parking actually costs $5.00 now ( huge parking lot that's never full ) , must be to supplement their revenue. Maybe if they had engaged staff and management , you wouldn't need to pay for parking . Went here recently for air conditioning and nothing else. Place still sucks, but its getting better, cleaned up a bit, which is nice to see. New games and new ownership, apparently, so I hope Boomers improves in the coming times. Looking forward to seeing brighter days! Reviews are still horrid, though there was no paid parking when I visited, so it remains dubious if that was ever a thing, since people love lying on Yelp. How can management improve since my time here? For gods sakes lower the prices, treat the employees with more respect. It is Summer in CALIFORNIA, in the day and age of climate change denial, when we're getting heat waves every month. Either set up barrels of water at every ride or let the people running the rides grab some cool drinks during downtime. Kick people out if they leave a bunch of trash or if they flirt with the cashiers, just trying to get through their shift. Have 1 go to employee per ride per day, no more one person circuses. Also give the employees a free meal every shift... Johny Rockets is... not the best, no shade to the employees there, the recipes are bunk and not worth it, so if every bite takes off a decade, at least make it a cheap death. Also make the JR close earlier, since people don't get that its technically a different facility under the same roof. If they don't understand that its 2 business, then make it EXTREMELY obvious that mid food is a privilege, not a promise. How can customers improve since my time here? Always know that any person you meet could be half a bad decision from making some violent decisions :), never be someone's bad decision, treat people how you want to be treated. And if 'that other place in vista/anaheim/la' is better. Go there then. Whenever I don't want to go somewhere, I don't. No one forces you to go to any amusement park, and if this was Disney everyone would have glasses in a rosy tint. Things suck here, they do at every amusement park, some are just great at hiding it.
