Went today for my semi-annual cleaning and the process was so painless. Got there and got walked back immediately, no wait, the whole process took about 30minutes. Even if it was a mistake as they said it was it was not an insignificant amount of money and if I had known the additional amount it may have changed the services I received. They already charge the highest amount in the range for the service and maxed out my insurance. Since there are dentists on every corner I would look for one that does not do a service then tell you they made a mistake with billing and ask for more. Seems scummy. I am not at all happy with this situation.

I asked front desk for an estimate of time left, and they tell me she is scheduled for 4pm?!?!! What?! I tried to call my daughter multiple times to ask if she was already seen, but she would not pick up. Later she told me that they would not let her answer her phone (understandable, since she was being treated, but still). She also told me they were extremely busy and there was only one dentist working between rooms (btw, my daughter said the dentist apologized x the long wait). Anyways, so my daughter got the anesthesia shots, and the dentist went to work on someone else... by the time she came back to my daughter the anesthesia had almost wore out. I work in the medical field, and believe me, I get it when we are short staff... but at least let your front desk know to make sure they have the right information before they pass it on. Please do not over schedule patients if you don't have adequate staff. I rather you reschedule me than made me wait that long to get treated.

And Dr. Sahukar is so passionate about what he does and conveys that passion so well that he actually got me flossing regularly for the first time in my life! I even bought a water flosser and electric toothbrush. This past visit he recommended dental picks - don't know why no one has suggested those to me before. But Dr. Sahukar genuinely wants to see me with healthy teeth and pushes me to do exactly what it takes to prevent future problems. No "sales pressure" here either. Not at all. The staff gets to know you and I basically feel like family. Hygienist was also just recently hired and she does an awesome job making sure everything is thoroughly cleaned and talks to you to find out about your background. Insurance or not, they will work with you to help with whatever you need. They even do payment plans!! Everyone was nice and professional which is what I had expected from the location. HOWEVER, when it came time for me to meet the than, the blonde dental hygienist.. very rude and lazy demeanor. She didn't bother to introduce herself as I was already prepped in the chair after my x rays were taken. Then she walked over to me as if she was bothered that she had to be there to do her job. She pulled out a plaque scrapper and began roughly cutting into my gum line. I told her she was scraping too hard and it was very uncomfortable. Now my teeth were not in the best condition but definitely better than some who walk into a dentist office. I had maybe a couple cavities filled in that day but her comments were not necessary. She began talking about how I had way too much plaque and that I needed to reschedule for another day! Yes, yelling at me. I never caught the blonde bimbos name because I was planning on reporting her. I looked at her like she was crazy when she said I had too much plaque. She spent a whole 15 seconds in my mouth dropped the scraper because I had told her she was being rough got up and advised that I reschedule for another day (with attitude). I had seen her earlier in the back office just standing there gossiping about her day with a technician when I was awaiting for the male D.D.S. to show up. Don't get me wrong the place is well kept, the rest of the staff was nice. However,after my procedure was done I never came back I was humiliated in front of the staff because she began blurting out saying I had way too much plaque like if it was caked on my teeth. They have, in the past, done an awesome job of dealing with appointments and changes to the same. I needed to change my son's appointment as an untimely event has made it no longer fit our schedule. I called. I was told by a recording that they only see patients by appointment (not really what I needed) and to leave a message. I already have an appointment, one that I need to modify/change. No way to simply talk to someone that can look at the schedule and give us a new appointment. Well, if you are too busy (thus the appointment only piece) you are well on your way to not being so. If we don't get a call back today, we'll simply start going elsewhere. Maybe if enough of us do the same they may have enough time to answer their phones going forward.
