Upon arrival, I was unexpectedly met with a balance from 2022--one I was never informed of, despite having paid my balance at my last visit. Back in 2022, I was persuaded to undergo a deep cleaning, even though I had no history of needing such treatment. The office failed to verify that my insurance only covers two sites per visit, leading to a denied claim. They later resubmitted the claim, falsely stating that I required the entire treatment in one visit due to "severe dental anxiety" and that the procedure took two hours. Neither of these claims were true--I have never had dental anxiety, and my visit lasted about an hour at most. When I returned in 2024 to have my implant checked, Dr. Pham refused to see me unless I paid the disputed balance. The situation was poorly handled and disappointing. After posting my initial review, Anthony, the office manager, reached out to apologize. While they never offered to check my implant again, he did seem sincere, and the office ultimately forgave the balance. My issue was never about the money--it was about the lack of communication. Because of Anthony's effort, I agreed to remove my review. Fast forward to 2025, I continued experiencing concerns with the implant Dr. Pham placed. I reached out to the office, hoping she would evaluate it. I spoke with Anthony again, who said he would relay my concerns to Dr. Pham and instructed me to call back the next day. When I followed up, I was told that Dr. Pham refused to see me because another dentist was providing my routine cleanings. For clarity, I have not had any major dental work done--only standard cleanings twice a year. I approached Dr. Pham as a paying patient, simply seeking her expertise on her work. I wasn't looking for a favor or free service--I just thought it was reasonable to have the doctor who placed the implant assess it. Not only did Dr. Pham refuse to see me, but she also didn't have the professionalism to speak to me directly. This experience has been incredibly frustrating and disappointing.

I just drove from Dallas to see them and they informed me at the desk that my insurance would not be covered. That I would be paying out of pocket. I had received a call from the the day before asking for my insurance info and when I gave it to them they said -and I quote- "we will call you back today if there are any issues". Drove over and was met at the front desk with two women telling me "we called and told you this" when I got upset about them saying it'll be almost $700 out of my pocket for a cleaning. I received NO CALL from them and I am at a loss for why they thought they had called me. I shouldn't have come back to them.. after the last visit for a simple teeth cleaning I was left horrified by how rough the assistant was, my gums were left bruised! My first visit to this office was wonderful. Everyone was kind and the doctor herself was…read moreincredible, patient, she took the time to explain the treatment plan, and I left feeling really happy that I felt I had found a good dental practice to go to. I was informed they would be submitting for pre-approval for further treatment, that it would be sent that day, and it generally takes two weeks to get a response. I was in pain due to an infection, but understood I needed to wait for insurance to approve. At two weeks, I called to follow up, and was told the office manager Jasmine wasn't available, but they hadn't heard back from insurance, so I called my insurance to follow up as the pain from the infection was getting a lot worse. I was informed by the insurance company that the request was never submitted to them. I ended up calling the Hurst location 6 times over a weeks time to try to get this resolved so that I can get treatment because my mouth was hurting so badly and it was only getting worse.  Each call I was told the office manager is in a meeting but will call me back. She failed to return my call at every opportunity. I final time I called, I was told she was in a meeting, but insisted on waiting as I didn't trust her to call back and needed treatment. I sat on hold for almost 40 minutes before the person answering the phone picked up and let me know she'd tell the OM Jasmine to call me and that that she "probably would this time" because I had been on hold for so long. I tried to ask to speak to the doctor or anyone else, and was informed there was no one else who can help me and I couldn't speak to anyone else, but the one person who could help me seemed to be avoiding my calls. An hour after my final call Jasmine finally called to tell me that pre-approval wasnt actually required (which is incorrect) but she was going to go ahead and submit the request just so it was done. She scheduled my follow up appointment in two MORE weeks pending approval. At the end of the call I asked her if there was a reason she wasn't able to return any of my 6 phone calls over a weeks time when I'm in increasing pain, and without any hint of apology she just said she'd been busy and just hadnt gotten around to it. That's not acceptable and if it's happening to me, who knows how many other people are being ignored and disregarded trying to get the help they need. As medical professionals, impeding care is negligent at best. It's just not acceptable. I also reached out to both corporate contacts provided on the website without any sort of response, so I consider it my responsibility to inform potential patients to spend their time and hard earned money elsewhere where they can get the care and consideration they deserve.

The office visit confirmed the expectations with extremely professional and caring staff in a fully patient centered practice that does not suggest the usual unnecessary treatments to every patient or the common dentist practices of running from chair to chair to maximize their profits. The last patient of the day received the same attention as it is often the case with the early morning appointments. Also, all the traditional paperwork is digital at this practice and the equipment and the panoramic display of the dental x-rays were additional benefits. The most unorganized office personnel that I've ever seen in my whole life. If something is not right, it's always the patient's fault. Keep up with all your paperwork, especially any hand written notes. This took me several visits and several issues to come to the realization that it's just not gonna get any better at this place.
