Needless to say I went 15 minutes south to Seashore Eyecare in Exmore, walked right in and received the utmost kindness and scheduled right there. NOW THAT IS CUSTOMER SERVICE! Let's just say, if I treated my clients with the "You're late!" Statement as soon as they walked in the door and then repeatedly challenged them as they spoke, I would've have a business anymore. 11-15 2022 I called multiple times to try and schedule an appointment for an eye exam. Staff does…read morenot answer the phone. When a female staffer called back at the very end of the business day she had an attitude the minute I told her I would like to schedule an eye exam and said "well... I can schedule you "BUT" it will be sometime in February at best. Then when I asked to be placed on a list for a call in when someone cancelled, she stated they did have a list, but not that she would put me on it?! It was obvious she was trying to steer me away from making an appointment. I had heard when Dr. Gillcrest was there this was a good business, obviously that is not the case anymore. Due to her attitude I then stated they should be able to see all of Tappahannock by February and that whenever I go by there, there are never over a couple cars at a time in the parking lot so we know that is not the case. This twisted her and she placed me on hold, left me there for an extended and unacceptable period of time (intentionally of course), then refused to answer the phone and transferred me over to an answering machine again. I knew what she was doing and the type of non-professional lazy being I was dealing with just by the tone of her lazy and monotone voice and her obvious attitude when she first called me back, so I immediately returned to my TV show while she "thought" she was annoying me. Needless to say, their staff (or at least this particular staffer) goes out of their way to steer customers away and only keep those ignorant enough to put up with this type of unacceptable treatment from a business. Do yourselves a favor Folks, do not encourage the incompetence of this business, go to a true professional and get the service you deserve for your hard-earned money. Society needs to stop enabling the incompetent and undeserving.
