Is it possible to love a visit to the eye doctor? If you say "No" it's because you've never been to Morgan Vision Care! Who says your doctor's office has to be boring and blah? Certainly not here! The office aesthetic combines classy appeal with upscale flair. The open waiting area gives a welcoming air and the staff is BEYOND friendly and professional. Dr. Morgan is knowledgeable and personable, using state of the art and modern equipment making the usual uncomfortable idea of a doctor visit easy and efficient! He manages to get everything he needs to get handled quickly and yet he still manages to throw a few jokes in along the way! And I know I'm not the only one that feels this way because there's a super cute wall where "fans" of the office have written their own reviews and there's plenty of similar sentiments displayed there! The selection on frames thooooooo!!!! Guys, I've never seen another office which such high end options and so cutely displayed! (Kudos to office manager T. Michelle on her couture eye & decorative skills!) If you're searching for something unique you NEED to visit this practice! The staff gives you a pressure free shopping experience which is so helpful because if you're anything like me I need time to try on glasses 50 times before I decide which one is the right one for me lol! Check out Morgan Vision Care and let me know your experience!

I got in a car accident a couple of months ago and the deployment of the airbag broke off one of the arms of my glasses. It wasn't something I could fix and thank goodness I still had a pair of old glasses lying around, but I needed new glasses ASAP. I did a quick search for an optometrist and came across Morgan Vision Care (MVS) with ALL 40+ reviews being 5 star, I was quite impressed and I chose them on that fact alone. I live in Chesapeake, but was willing to "travel" (LOL) to Va Beach and I'm so glad I did. First, I filled out the Appointment Request Form online which was super easy. I filled out the new patient form and provided all my info and insurance info. Someone from the office called me to schedule the appointment. On the day of my appointment, I was greeted by Andrew, the receptionist. He was really nice and courteous, but if you have any complex questions about your insurance like I did, it's best to ask to speak with the insurance expert/coordinator in the back office for a more detailed explanation. Now on to the eye doc. I was seen promptly by Dr. Morgan who was super nice, upbeat and I just felt an overall good vibe from him. We somehow got on the topic of Hawaii and the different sand colors and fast forward to a couple of weeks after the appointment, I received a handwritten postcard from Dr. M in the mail, referencing our convo and I thought wow, people just don't take the time to write you a thank you note these days, let alone write it by hand and remember what we spoke about. I thought that was a sweet, personal touch and just another reason why people are giving him all the stars. Ok, back to the appointment. Since it had been a year since my last eye exam in Savannah, I decided to get another one done before I picked out new glasses. I opted for the fancy photograph of my eyeballs ($39 out of pocket, insurance generally does not cover this). Dr. M explained things every step of the way, did my eye exam and I was out of the exam room in less than 30 minutes. Thanks, Doc! Once I finished my eye exam, I sat with the optician to pick out a pair of new glasses. The boutique has a wide variety of high end designer glasses to frames around the $200 mark. I thought they had a good mix of styles and price points. In the end, I went with a pair of tortoise shell Tom Ford's which the optician had recommended. They said it took about 10 business days and I got the call yesterday which was right around the 10 day mark. My husband picked up my glasses for me and when I got the bag, it had my fancy glasses in a velvety glasses case, inside a fancy cardboard box, and extra eyeglass cloth and a mini eyeglass cleaner spray. They usually prefer the patient to come when picking up glasses so they can adjust the glasses to your face if needed, but I just couldn't go myself yesterday l, but the glasses are just fine. I love my new glasses so much. I love the tortoise shell and how the logo is discreet. - Tips - - when you walk up to the building, the boutique is on the left after the first set of doors. - They apply a discount at the time of purchase I'm glad I found Dr. Morgan so early on at a duty station and I plan to go back soon to pick out a back up pair. Stay safe, Friends!

On December 18, I went to the store with my prescription and clearly asked for glasses for distance vision only. After some time, they called me to let me know that my glasses were ready. When I tried them on, my vision was blurry. The staff later realized that the employee who helped me had mistakenly ordered lenses with both reading and distance combinations, even though I had clearly requested distance only. They told me it was not a problem and that they would send the lenses back to be corrected. I then had to wait another 3-4 weeks. When I finally went back to pick them up again, my vision was still blurry. This was very frustrating because I had already waited a long time for the correction. At that point, I started to worry that maybe the eye doctor had made a mistake with my prescription. I took the glasses and scheduled an appointment with another eye specialist recommended by a friend. The new doctor confirmed that the original prescription was correct -- the problem was the lenses made by the store. They had only corrected one side and left the other lens with the same mistake. I paid the full amount upfront, which I now regret. After spending $500, I ended up with glasses that I cannot use and only kept the frame. I also lost a lot of time waiting for them to fix their mistakes, only to receive the wrong lenses again. This experience has been extremely disappointing and frustrating. I cannot recommend this place. I am sharing my story so other people are aware before choosing this store.

My parents both wear glasses and we had previously been going to the optometrists and retail LensCrafters in MacArthur Center once a year every year for as long as I can remember and always have had a great experience. That store has now relocated and the closest to me is Lynnhaven Mall. I had previously walked into the retail side and a lovely woman named AJ helped me adjust my glasses that my toddler broke until I could replace them. I was looking forward to coming back to her to help me pick a style after my exam. I scheduled my appointment yesterday morning for that afternoon at 4pm. I arranged for my husband to get out of work early and watch our son to accommodate this appointment. I showed up at 3:55pm. At the front desk were 2 women one 20s/30s and one was older. The younger one greeted me and then proceeded to say and I quote "...yeahhhh we didn't have a phone number on file for you and your email didn't work so your appointment was canceled." The form did not require me to input a phone number or insurance. It even said on the confirmation email (of which I received THREE confirmations to the same email that "didn't work" for them) that I could fill out forms and provide insurance in person at the time of my appointment. They continued to tell me they could reschedule me for another day. I'm a very patient and understanding person, I don't enjoy confrontation. There was no apology for wasting my time. No effort to accommodate me. The lady beside her was her supervisor as I learned when asking to speak to someone else. She also met me with attitude, rolling her eyes and refusing to look at me, typing on her computer while I was desperately trying to seek resolution. Unprofessional, disrespectful and just downright rude. I wasn't yelling or cursing I was just upset at the situation and honestly, even a simple apology for the mistake would have gone so far. But not once did they even say sorry, in fact, blamed me saying I must've spelled my email wrong or there was a problem on my end. I received various spam emails and work emails to my same email after booking. Aside from this, I don't even understand why the appointment had to be canceled. I could've provided this info on the spot. My appointment was confirmed as BOOKED multiple times via email. I suggested perhaps there was an issue with their email host. Again met with blank stares. Disappointed is an understatement. Neither one of those women should be in a customer facing position. I'm disheartened to take my business elsewhere for my eye exams however AJ and the other gentleman working the retail side are absolute customer service rockstars and tried to help me afterwards.

Although they do do surgeries, they do more than that. There are 2 doctors here both very well known in the area and in the field of ophthalmology.
