Is it possible to love a visit to the eye doctor? If you say "No" it's because you've never been to Morgan Vision Care! Who says your doctor's office has to be boring and blah? Certainly not here! The office aesthetic combines classy appeal with upscale flair. The open waiting area gives a welcoming air and the staff is BEYOND friendly and professional. Dr. Morgan is knowledgeable and personable, using state of the art and modern equipment making the usual uncomfortable idea of a doctor visit easy and efficient! He manages to get everything he needs to get handled quickly and yet he still manages to throw a few jokes in along the way! And I know I'm not the only one that feels this way because there's a super cute wall where "fans" of the office have written their own reviews and there's plenty of similar sentiments displayed there! Not very happy with the service that was provided with Morgan Vision Care anymore. They weren't willing to confirm my new eye care insurance company so I went elsewhere to find someone that was willing to do the work. You seems as though they're basically all about just trying to make money, not trying to help the client. read more

Dr. Morgan is very good. He listens and explains options for different correction types clearly. Unfortunately, I have lost faith in his office staff. After a recent appointment, I sent two follow up requests for clarification on prescriptions and new glasses options. Neither query was answered (it has been almost two months now). I think that his staff decided that the messages weren't worth passing along. I suppose when my next examine is due, I will try to find another optometrist. I got in a car accident a couple of months ago and the deployment of the airbag broke off one of the arms of my glasses. It wasn't something I could fix and thank goodness I still had a pair of old glasses lying around, but I needed new glasses ASAP. I did a quick search for an optometrist and came across Morgan Vision Care (MVS) with ALL 40+ reviews being 5 star, I was quite impressed and I chose them on that fact alone. I live in Chesapeake, but was willing to "travel" (LOL) to Va Beach and I'm so glad I did. First, I filled out the Appointment Request Form online which was super easy. I filled out the new patient form and provided all my info and insurance info. Someone from the office called me to schedule the appointment. On the day of my appointment, I was greeted by Andrew, the receptionist. He was really nice and courteous, but if you have any complex questions about your insurance like I did, it's best to ask to speak with the insurance expert/coordinator in the back office for a more detailed explanation. Now on to the eye doc. I was seen promptly by Dr. Morgan who was super nice, upbeat and I just felt an overall good vibe from him. We somehow got on the topic of Hawaii and the different sand colors and fast forward to a couple of weeks after the appointment, I received a handwritten postcard from Dr. M in the mail, referencing our convo and I thought wow, people just don't take the time to write you a thank you note these days, let alone write it by hand and remember what we spoke about. I thought that was a sweet, personal touch and just another reason why people are giving him all the stars. Ok, back to the appointment. Since it had been a year since my last eye exam in Savannah, I decided to get another one done before I picked out new glasses. I opted for the fancy photograph of my eyeballs ($39 out of pocket, insurance generally does not cover this). Dr. M explained things every step of the way, did my eye exam and I was out of the exam room in less than 30 minutes. Thanks, Doc! Once I finished my eye exam, I sat with the optician to pick out a pair of new glasses. The boutique has a wide variety of high end designer glasses to frames around the $200 mark. I thought they had a good mix of styles and price points. In the end, I went with a pair of tortoise shell Tom Ford's which the optician had recommended. They said it took about 10 business days and I got the call yesterday which was right around the 10 day mark. My husband picked up my glasses for me and when I got the bag, it had my fancy glasses in a velvety glasses case, inside a fancy cardboard box, and extra eyeglass cloth and a mini eyeglass cleaner spray. They usually prefer the patient to come when picking up glasses so they can adjust the glasses to your face if needed, but I just couldn't go myself yesterday l, but the glasses are just fine. I love my new glasses so much. I love the tortoise shell and how the logo is discreet. - Tips - - when you walk up to the building, the boutique is on the left after the first set of doors. - They apply a discount at the time of purchase I'm glad I found Dr. Morgan so early on at a duty station and I plan to go back soon to pick out a back up pair. Another great visit to see the legend I call Dr. Morgan. Business is booming for this new practice because of all the great things they do. I had some leftover $ to use on my FSA and was told that my insurance wasn't going to allow me to get some new specs until March 1st. Bethany, the front desk lady, made a special call and got my insurance company to let me slide in a couple of weeks early. This saved me a trip and being as busy as I am things could get hectic and before you know it my use it or lose it FSA $ could...well be lost. She said she had a gift for me after going through my regular procedures and there it was...an hour saved from another trip, the ability to shop around and the end result: a brand new set of glasses (with a blue frame - won't match the Yelp t-shirt I rock often but goes well with my bright blue dress shirts). It's very exciting to watch a business grow and for the last three years I've watched Dr. Morgan make a name for himself. When you're in business we all have the same goals in mind: take care of our employees, take on new clients, become profitable and increase our bottom line year over year. It's always great to be able to discuss successes and struggles with like-minded people. I think that's why I like coming to see Dr. Morgan. We're able to talk more than just about my eyes. I learn more and more about the optometry business during every visit (I usually pay him a few visits in between). Plus, Dr. Morgan being a young guy like me...we have a lot in common to shoot the breeze and he's just easy going for any conversation. I remember trying to spark a conversation with my last optometrist a few years ago and it was like talking to dumb dog. I also had to order contact lenses a month ago. Princess, the licensed optician in the office, asked me a couple of questions over the phone to ensure ordering a year's set was appropriate and Bethany did the transaction over the phone saving me from a trip (although hardly out of the way). Hands down, this has been the best experience I have ever had with any eye doctor. This is now my new go-to place for anything eyes. Over the past few years, I had been going to a different eye doctor. I just never felt any type of personal relationship where I went before. Everything was by the book with little to no interaction otherwise. I felt more like a number than a person there. It is because of that I had turned to Yelp to look for a different place to go for my annual eye exam. After looking at all the reviews, and ensuring that there was a place that was covered under my vision plan, this is the place I decided to go to and am so glad that I did. This place is located in the Brenneman Farms Shopping Center. It's located right around the bend, a few storefronts to the right of Harris Teeter (when looking at the shopping center from the street). When you come in, it is warm and inviting. There are a bunch of seats available, and the receptionist offers water or coffee. This is a personal touch I have never experienced at any other eye doctor's office. After going through the normal process of filling out the forms, both written and electronic, it was time to start the various steps in the exam process. Dr. Morgan was there throughout the entire process from beginning to end. The first step was just doing a machine general eye check with the picture of a farmhouse in the background. Once that was completed, we went to the next room to do some general vision checks on a machine. Finally, it was time to go to the last room. This is where you were seated and tested different views of vision to see which looks better. Near the end of that process and having both eyes visible, he had me read the bottom line. He was a bit surprised too as I didn't realize that after corrections, my vision would go from 20/20 to 20/10. The good thing there was no major change from the year before. He noted that I do have slight astigmatism and very slight nearsightedness. In the end, I had a clean bill of health for my eyes, and plan to keep it that way. Throughout the entire process, it was very easy and I felt like he genuinely cared and was not treated like a number. Dr. Morgan is very professional, friendly, and courteous. He asked throughout the process if I had any questions to make sure I understood the entire process as it went along. If you are looking for an eye doctor, or are considering changing to another practice, look no further than coming here. Top notch service. This is the best experience I've ever had at an optometrist appointment. From scheduling the appointment to visiting with the doctor, everything was smooth sailing. The receptionist was friendly, warm, and inviting. She really set the tone for the visit. As for Dr. Morgan, he's awesome! He explained the procedures and my results thoroughly. I felt comfortable asking him questions because he seemed relatable (not an old doctor waiting for retirement to hit). You know some doctors can be very condescending, but you can tell he has a passion for his profession and patients. I felt very confident in Dr. Morgan's assessment. The office is beautifully decorated. It looked like a tastefully decorated living room with warm tones. One thing that I absolutely loved was that his office laminates forms, so after you fill out the forms and they scan the documents they erase the writing to reuse it. It's an ingenious way to cut down on paper forms, waste, and clutter. That's the first time that I've seen that. Also, they offered me water since it was such a hot day! And they recycle the bottles too! I can't rave more about this place. I insist that you give this office a try! read more

My advice- call in advance for an appointment cuz they stay busy, and understandably so- it's the best and everyone knows it! I have been coming to Morgan Vision Care for a few years and wouldn't go anywhere else for eye care. The staff here is always super friendly and efficient in getting me checked in. I have never had to wait long at all for an eye exam and I'm out the door in less than 30 minutes. And Dr. Morgan...well he is awesome! He is personable and sincere in providing the best care possible and doesn't treat you just like a patient, he genuinely cares about how you're doing and takes his time in understanding and addressing any concerns. I went for my annual exam, and Dr. Morgan is great! Super friendly and explains everything very thoroughly. He really wants to make sure you understand what's going on with your eyes. While I was there, I mentioned I had just had a baby, and he sent a follow up postcard in the mail a few days later to congratulate my husband and I. So nice! The rest of the staff is just as friendly, and it was easy to make an appointment. The optician that helped me pick out a new set of glasses was a lot of fun and not pushy at all, which is awesome. She helped me find a great new pair of frames. Overall, a very welcoming and comfortable experience. I'll definitely be going back next year for my exam! (This review is long overdue.) Getting old isn't for sissies. The first thing to go are your arms, they seem to get shorter causing you to extend them as far as you can to read. This symptom of aging recently affected my husband. We got an appointment within a few days of calling. Upon arriving we were greeted immediately and only waited a few minutes for Dr. Morgan to call him in. Princess, the assistant, took all his measurements and the glasses arrived a week later. Now here's the reason for the 5 stars. My husband got progressive lenses. They drove him crazy so he threw them in a drawer and forgot about them. It was more than six months later that I told him he should call and let them know. Not only did they replace them with simple bifocals but they didn't charge us any additional fees. So I tossed them my business and made an appointment for myself. Love my new red frames. read more

You can expect an eye exam with Dr. Morgan to be efficient, thorough, and informative yet somehow still entirely relaxed. And when it's time to purchase frames, you'll find an extremely knowledgeable and committed optician who will take every step necessary to ensure that your eyeglasses are comfortable, perfectly aligned, and styled to your satisfaction. Highly professional, yet wholly personal. It's an uncommon combination in the health care industry, but you'll find it in spades at Morgan Vision Care. Personal tip: After my last visit, I actually ended up purchasing a second pair of eyeglasses online in order to get a particular style that I was looking for. I probably saved some money in the process as well, but the frames weren't nearly as comfortable as the ones I got from Dr. Morgan's office, despite the detailed fitting process offered by the online store. If there's a specific style you want, I recommend bringing a picture with you to the optician for reference; I'm sure they'll go out of their way to find something comparable even if it has to be special ordered. Just got back from picking up my new glasses from Dr. Morgan's office and can now write my full review of the experience. I was long due for a new pair of glasses and I wanted my oldest son to get his eyes checked because he sometimes squinted while reading. After reading Xerxes and Tanya's reviews, people whom I trust, I decided to give this place a shot. We made our appointments back to back but they let us go through the exam process together, which was nice since my son was a little nervous about his first visit to the optometrist. I have been to many optometrist's through the years where the doctor comes in for the last five minutes, does his/her thing, and leaves. Not with Dr. Morgan. He conducted every step of the examination for the both of us. As Tanya said, he was very engaging, explained everything to both of us, and made sure any questions we had were answered. The good news is my oldest son has 20/10 vision, so the squinting is just an odd habit. Once my exam was over, I selected my frames and Princess told me it could be 7-10 business days but it was actually 5. So, they came in earlier than expected. Pleasant surprise. Dr. Morgan also sent a follow up card to us that was personalized to some things my son talked about while there. It was a nice, personal touch. My first experience with Dr. Morgan's office was two weeks ago when my best friend, who was visiting from Italy, lost her glasses when a wave knocked her over at the beach. I had been meaning to schedule an eye exam for my son, so I had already researched optometrists in the area and had Dr. Morgan at the top of my list. She called his office and told the receptionist what happened. They were able to get her in right away that evening. They even started the insurance (Tricare) paperwork before we got there, which was a huge time saver since she had just switched to the European region and it took them a while to get it all sorted out. They got her in a pair of contacts that night and she said the prescription felt better than her previous one because she could read things she was unable to read before. She was very pleased with her experience! My second experience was today when I took my 7 year old in for his first eye exam. Dr. Morgan and his staff were great with the kids (my 3 year old tagged along). Tricare Prime covered the entire cost of the exam. My son wasn't thrilled about getting glasses, so he didn't really want to try any on, but once we finally got him to we found that most of the frames were too big. If they broadened their selection of kid's frames I'd definitely give them five stars. It was suggested we try Walmart for a better selection of kid's frames. We did, and we found a pair that made him smile. :) *Edited to add a quick update and a star. After my son's appointment I was told that Dr. Morgan promises to have a greater selection of kids frames in stock by the time he is due for his next eye exam. I also received a nice thank you gift for referring a friend to Dr. Morgan. This sort of customer service and appreciation is so rare these days. After seeing Xerxes N.'s review, I had to call Dr. Morgan's office to make an appointment. I talked to Bethenny who so nice & honest. Scheduled an appointment for the Daughter and was about to schedule one for myself when I mentioned I was pregnant. Bethenny told me that I should probably wait on scheduling an appointment for myself since the prego hormones could affect my eyesight. I really appreciated her honesty for that! The Daughter went for her appointment and Dr. Morgan was very engaging. Super nice and explained everything to the two of us. The staff was super nice too...offering bottled water, coffee, or hot cocoa. Princess was going to help us look for frames but let us know that it might be cheaper at the NEX (or Costco). Love, love, love the honesty at this place!! The office is well set up and the staff is very caring! I've been seeing an optometrist closer to our home and thought they were good, not great but good. Found a new "home" for our family eye care. Dr Morgan spends his time getting my exam done, never hesitating to make sure our questions are fully answered and explained. Robin and his other staff are wonderful. No rushing or techs shuffling you from place to place - he does your entire exam. Very thorough. Believe the reviews. The staff is very friendly and inviting over the phone and it's pretty easy to make a quick appointment. I had to reschedule and got in incredibly quickly on the reschedule as well. Once you're there the waiting room has a very high end vibe to it, and they're very attentive - offering coffee and water as well as current magazines. It's a small office, but everything is very efficient and moves along nicely, and they explain everything very well. I asked questions about LASIK and he also told me he could give me all the info I'd need. A year or so after I went, I brought my daughter in to get her eyes checked. He remembered me from the one time that I was there. My daughter was acting very shy and didn't want to read the letters, but he got her to open up pretty quick and we were able to be in and out very fast. All of my experiences here so far have been top notch. I can't see myself ever changing practices. read more

Dr Morgan is a very nice doctor. I had found him online since he accepts Medicaid for my child. It's a small clinic really close to where we live. It is located in the Brenneman Farms shopping center where the Jollibee is. They carry super cute glasses. Dr Morgan was very informative and the following week he sent us a postcard checking up on how we were. I decided to go to him as well and was able to get these cute horned-rimmed style Kate Spade Glasses. There is parking directly in front of the store. I recommend Dr. Morgan for sure. read more
