Apparently her party look doesnt even include color corrector!! To get color corrector, you have to pay her minor bridal fee. She then went to the wrong hotel on the morning of my event despite being told numerous times what hotel it was- "Sonesta IAH", so how did she get to Galleria? Who knows... but she demanded an additional $85 to come to the correct location after which I decided I'm not interested in giving her my business. I did my own look and saved my money. She's awful and greedy! I thank the stars that she didn't come, I had a better time just doing my own makeup. Other industry artists resonated and said she does this often and will not return deposits either. My coordinator had another bride the week before who also was made to pay extra at the nth hour. She isnt worth it-- DO NOT BOOK HER. Pulling this crap on a bride on her special day is atrocious. She should rename her business as "Imperfections"

Before signing the contract she was nice, but as soon as you sign and if there are any changes you want to make, she makes it the BIGGEST deal ever. It was the absolute worst experience ever. During my wedding weekend, I had 3 different artists working with me outside of Saniya's team and each and every one of them was so nice and accommodating whereas my family used Saniya's team and she stressed them out before EVERY single event. Every morning she was unbelievably rude to my mom, aunt and cousin who were getting their makeup done by her. If they did not like something and asked her to do it a bit differently, she would YELL at them and had the biggest attitude. Some examples: My mom wanted to wear earring chains and Saniya told her flat-out no she won't do it for her. My aunt asked if she could move the pleats for her saree that Saniya was pinning to the side instead of in the middle because she does not like wearing it in the middle, and she yelled at my aunt telling her she is "wasting her time". We had specified time-slots laid out for each person to start and my family was never late, however, since Saniya got to the hotel way earlier and got set up way earlier than the times on the schedule, she would get upset that the individuals having their services were not ready to go. Saniya was ready to start 35 minutes before my mom's service time and she got mad at my mom for not already being there. One of the rudest people I have ever met, especially in a business where you have to work with people face to face. Come wedding morning, we had 12 individuals getting hair and makeup done. More than half of those individuals actually came into my room to show me how bad their hair and makeup was and they took all of it off and redid it themselves. So now, not only is she the most rude person I have experienced but her work is also bad. It was so bad that everyone legit looked like clowns. My cousins and Maid of Honor trusted her but it was such a let down to where they did better makeup and hair than she did. She told everyone that lashes were mandatory and that everyone had to get them but that was not true. She FORCEFULLY made people get lashes even if they didn't want it, what kind of makeup artist even does this??? It is her job to make her clients feel and look good but she was just doing the opposite. On her contract, it states lashes are an additional cost. She purposely forced everyone to get lashes and made them pay for it even though some people told her they didn't want it, they still had to get it and pay for it even if they were not comfortable with it... To top it off, after my mom got her hair and makeup done, she came to my room and my makeup artist was so disgusted by the way her make-up looked that my makeup artist made my mom sit down and she fixed everything Saniya did wrong...at no additional charge. At the end of it all, my mom cried and told me how much she regretted having Saniya's team because with an already stressful weekend, Saniya made it even worse and started everyone's morning off in the worst way possible. My mom finds it so embarrassing that she trusted Saniya and she turned out to be the one and only terrible vendor we hired. I would never in a million years recommend her to anyone and honestly, outside of just business purposes, I'm not sure how Saniya has any friends or close relationships with anyone given how rude and terrible of an individual she is. It's one thing if the make-up isn't the best, but to treat your clients like utter dirt is absolutely without question unacceptable. It's also so convenient for me to be able to get my spray tan done in my own home. Alicia also did my makeup for my engagement photos, bridal shower, bridal portraits and wedding. She also did all of my bridal party's makeup. She did a wonderful job. She uses airbrush makeup that's perfect for special events because it lasts all day. Alicia is the only one I trust for a spray tan and she's my go-to whenever I need my makeup done. I'd highly recommend her.

Based on my experience, this salon clearly does not have the knowledge, technique, or experience necessary to properly work with these hair textures. I booked two appointments for my daughters at Blo Blow Dry Bar in Sugar Land, Texas for basic wash-and-blowout services. Before booking, I clearly noted in the appointment comments that my daughters have African kinky/coily hair textures. Prior to the appointment, the salon called and asked whether I could come earlier because they were unsure if the stylists would be able to complete the service within the scheduled timeframe due to my daughters' hair texture. Although I explained that I work until 5 PM, I still rearranged my schedule and came earlier so they could assess my daughters' hair beforehand. When we arrived, I again specifically asked whether the stylists had experience working with African textured hair. One stylist even asked to touch my daughter's hair to feel the texture before beginning. After examining their hair, I was told they may need to charge additional fees for extended styling time, including flat ironing and curling. I clarified multiple times that I was NOT requesting styling, curls, or flat ironing because my daughters were getting braids a couple of days later. I only requested a simple wash-and-blow-dry service. The stylist then reassured me that, since we only needed wash-and-blow-dry services, extended timing likely would not be necessary. I arrived at approximately 5:05 PM. My first daughter was taken back around 5:15 PM, and my second daughter approximately 10-15 minutes later. Both services were completed within less than 45 minutes before the discussion about additional charges came up. At no point was I clearly informed that additional charges would definitely apply. I was only told they would "let me know" if extra time became necessary. After the appointments were completed, I was unexpectedly charged an additional $15 per child for "extended blow drying." The final results absolutely did not reflect the price charged. For approximately $70 per child for a basic wash-and-blow-dry service that lasted barely 45 minutes, I expected significantly better results and far more experience handling textured hair. What made the experience even more disappointing was how uncomfortable and demeaning the overall interaction felt. We regularly visit other salons, including Cherry Blow Dry Bar, and have never experienced this level of discomfort or lack of professionalism regarding our hair texture. At one point, after seeing the final results, I genuinely asked the stylist whether she was proud of the work completed because the outcome did not reflect the pricing, the added fees, or the level of service we were promised. See attached photos of what approximately $70 per child looked like after a basic wash-and-blow-dry appointment. The photos speak for themselves. I also have time-stamped iPhone photos confirming both my visit and the condition of my daughters' hair immediately after the service, before anyone attempts to dispute that we were there. My issue is not simply the additional charge. It is the lack of transparency, the disappointing results, and the feeling that my concerns were not taken seriously despite communicating everything clearly upfront before the appointment. If a salon is not experienced with textured African hair, it is completely acceptable to say so honestly before accepting appointments, charging families additional fees, and delivering subpar results. Customers deserve transparency, professionalism, honesty, and respectful treatment.
