I have been to several different Title Boxing locations and even boxed at professional gyms, so I came in expecting just another workout class. But Title Boxing Club North Columbus completely exceeded my expectations. Before it became what it is now, I had heard about the previous owners and how the experience used to lack energy and customer service. That is definitely not the case anymore. The new team has turned the place around. From the moment I walked in, the trainers made me feel like family. They are not just there to give you a hard workout. They really care about teaching proper technique and making sure you are improving in a safe and supportive environment. The vibe is welcoming, friendly, and full of good energy. Everyone goes out of their way to make you feel like part of the group. I felt myself getting stronger, faster, and more confident with every class. If you are looking for a gym that combines real boxing training with a positive and encouraging atmosphere, this is the place. Title Boxing has been a part of my life for nearly 15 years. I have tried other workouts but nothing works better (for me) than Title Boxing. The instructors are motivating and each are unique in how they teach which makes every class different and more fun. And, the owner, Alex, well...I can't say enough about him!! You won't find a more motivating and caring person at a gym. Even if you're having a low-energy day, he's just proud & grateful you showed up and did what you could. This gym is very welcoming and comfortable. I never feel out of place or judged. It's very clean and you're always greeted with a smiling face. So for full disclosure I am a title member from Northern Ohio but I was down in Columbus on business and stopped in the Polaris Boxing Club. Originally because this club had moved from a previous location to its new location was a little hard to find if you're using Google Maps because it tries to redirect to an address is no longer valid for this club. It's kind of like when you travel from City to city and you go to a chain restaurant you kind of expect it to be the same service and that's exactly what you get here. The manager DJ is on point whether he's training somebody, cleaning, or running a class. There is really nothing negative I have to say about this place. I took 3 classes this week 2 with Jacob and one with Anthony and I have never been so close to puking in my 18 plus months as a member of Title Boxing. Now the goal of course isn't the puke but the drive from the trainer that makes your body almost want to quit. This place is nothing but motivation sweat pain and muscle and I love every minute of it. Do yourself a favor and stop in there giving away 10 days free. You got nothing to lose read more

Title boxing club in Polaris has been such a great decision. You don't have to have any experience to try a class. I started going almost two months ago. The workouts are intense and I started sweating within minutes of warm up. It is such a great way to get back in shape. I've had 4 to 5 different trainers so and they are all fantastic. They do a variation of different combos and techniques but one thing is the same, they all have very tough workouts. If you get in with DJ, get ready to work hard and be pushed to beyond your limits. The hour workouts are tough but it will be worth it in the end. Gaby is just as great. She is great at teaching different combos and shows you perfect form and technique. Jacob is a combination of both, intense workout and provides great examples of different punches and combinations !! All encourage you throughout the entire workout. read more

I was very hesitant at first to try out this place. I hate regular gyms as there seems to be no help anywhere and the help you find isn't always so thrilled to be of assistance. I go to a gym I feel lost even embarrassed at times plus I just hate the gym as I am a runner who is well getting bored with running :( but then I came to this place! :) I don't feel lost or embarrassed or bored! Awesomeness! They have several one hour sessions per day to choose from 7 days a week. The schedule you can easily find on their website, facebook page or printed off at their front desk. Updated weekly with who is leading the class and if the class will be boxing, kick boxing or something else. Most are boxing which is my favorite. Each class starts and ends on time, exactly 60 minutes, which anyone who has a schedule to follow can appreciate this. I haven't been to morning classes but the noon class doesn't have as many people there at the 7pm one. Seems like a good mix of male vs. female, however the 7pm seems to favor in women and the noon in men. The place is pretty straight forward... black punching bags, black floors, black equipment, its not your flashy modern hip looking joint it is functional for what it is for.... maybe some fun/funny motivational signs would be nice or "wall of fame" with pics of their members before and after photos to make the place a little more personal/inspiring. Music is always pump me up type music, most songs I recognize. Bathroom for men and women. Also changing room for women (not sure if men have one I assume they do) which is separate from bathroom to change in if you plan on working out during a lunch break or whatever. I don't feel embarrassed like I would at a gym. At a gym you are bored so you look around and people watch, which means ugh someone might be looking at you too... here you are so busy with what the leader is saying/instructing you don't have time to look around or even care for that matter. 60 minutes flies by so fast! No clock watching here. Fyi from the little i have looked around the people aka customers here are all different shapes, sizes, ages and levels of abilities. Its nice to feel like you aren't totally out of your mind for trying something new. Oh and its a workout all right! Membership prices seem fair but I think its different depending on how long you sign up for and if you have more than one person in your household joining. They offer a free hour of class to try out and they have the gloves and everything you need there. I emailed their info email off the website with a million questions and got a response within 24 hours with all my answers in a very professional and friendly manner. **Tip! You will be doing lots of arm and ab work on the floor, girls don't wear short loose shorts unless you want others to possibly see what they shouldn't be looking at. read more

I wanted to find the best way to be pushed and to get into amazing shape. Ive talked with many people and they have mentioned how boxing is an amazing sport and is the ultimate work out. I know one of the Trainers (Chris Brooks) and he told me to try it out sometime just to see what it is life. I will admit I was extremely nervous how the classes were held, and did not know what to expect. After Chris kicked my ass and beat me down from the intensity I had to sign up and come again, and again. I think I have lost so much of my extra fat and gained so much muscle in such a short amount of time, I love it! read more

Love the classes and instructor, Marie Miller! Talk about a phenomenal workout! I bought a Groupon or Living Social Deal that afforded me 2 weeks of unlimited classes that I thoroughly enjoyed. I was disappointed that Title doesn't offer a drop-in class option. The membership is priced monthly, which is pricey if you can't get in there 2-3 times per week. I train for several half marathons a year, making more than once a week or every other week too much for me. I do like to mix things up every once in a while and wish I could use this as an option. read more

I signed up for class pass online and I thought I would give this gym a try. The gym is clean and there's a lot of nice equipment. The coach (DJ) was encouraging and a lot of fun. I took his class last Friday and enjoyed it so much that I went to his class again this morning. I was looking for a change up to my workout routine and I'm so glad I came to this gym. Be prepared to work hard (and have fun too), because they expect nothing but your best effort here. I definitely would recommend this gym to my friends and I look forward to coming back this summer. Little did I know when my friend took me to a place to go boxing in January 2011 that it would literally change my life forever. Her friend was a trainer at a new boxing place in town called Title Boxing Club and informed her that the first visit was free. With all of us girls being very out of shape and the New Year's resolutions in full force we decided to give it a try. It was the hardest, most challenging and tiring hour of my life...but I signed up that day! I couldn't quite pinpoint why, but I knew it was for me. I began going like 3 days a week and within a short 5 month period, I had lost over 30 pounds and transformed by body! I couldn't believe how lean and strong I was! Title Boxing Club changed my life, my body and my mind. I never believed in anything in so much before, or felt like I was good at anything. But I belonged there. I know it sounds cliché but I was meant to be there. I finally found something that challenged me, and made me actually proud of myself! I felt a sense of accomplishment when I finished a Power Hour class. If you're looking for a place to get an awesome workout and quick results - Title Boxing Club is definitely the place for you! Be very careful when working with this boxing club. I have had countless problems with billing. When I talked with a worker there to discuss these problems he told me he couldn't help me until Monday because he was teaching a class. When I came in to personally cancel following this phone conversation I ironically found other workers there that could help me and found out he would be there on Saturday. Needless to say, I will not be coming back here, ever. read more

I had no idea what a great workout these guys and gals were going to push me through. Every time I go, I'm happily exhausted for 55 minutes of the 60 that I'm there. The instructors can actually box, so even though it's a fitness class, they explain the techniques of the jabs and hooks and combos. I first ventured to a class on my own and now I can't stop talking about it to my friends. It's a great workout in 1 hour. No bells and whistles, just remember to wear workout attire, bring lots of water and you can borrow the gloves and wraps when you arrives. They even have someone wrap your hands!
