I was looking for a good workout and have always been intrigued by boxing! I was nervous because I have never boxed or kickboxed before, but as soon as I walked in I was warmly greeted, and they showed me the ropes. It was a nice and small class and the instructor was super kind and encouraging (especially when I felt like I was simply going to fall over). She offered modifications for some of the challenging parts, and pushed me enough where I kept trying, but not too hard that I got stressed out. My plan for the month was to test out different gyms and classes and see which ones I prefer, but I really loved this class. It was a killer workout, I learned new stuff, and had a lot of fun! I'll start off by saying this class was lit. I signed up for kickboxing on a Thursday night. I forgot what the instructor's name was. But he does kickboxing Mondays and Thursdays. I was told "He is really good and has the best music". When I walked in the girls at the front counter were really helpful and got me ready quickly for the class to start. After my hands were wrapped and my gloves were on I was ready to go. As soon as we started I could tell this would be more than an ordinary workout. It was tough. It was a lot of kicking, punching, and other movements and it was almost nonstop. I made it through tho and felt really great afterwards. It was for sure, the hardest workout I have done in some time. The instructor was super friendly and came around and helped correct a couple things with people. He told people about a good job and gave fist bumps even when they were struggling. His music playlist was also on point. It helped to set the tone of the entire workout. I will be coming back on the regular now. I loved how intense it was and the satisfaction of completing a hard workout. I would advise that you don't workout your legs or arms before or even a day or two before this class, if you are new. read more

This is probably the most fun I've ever had at a ClassPass class! The studio is massive and has over 20 punching bags hanging from the ceiling. After you put on your hand wraps (buy for $10) and your boxing gloves (rent for $5) you position yourself in front of a bag. The next section is a blur because I was so tired/having so much fun punching, but I think there was a cardio section, 8 rounds of boxing with active recovery, and then an abs section. I struggled to keep up, but after the class I felt like I had such a clear head and didn't feel as angry at everything anymore. Definitely recommend the class if you have some anger issues you need to resolve... read more

The workout itself was decent, but I moved out of Columbus and had to relocate to a different state. This was over two years ago, and I was assured the account at the gym was closed - until I got a call from a debt collector recently that I owed over $600 to this club. While I'd never been contacted about any debts, and had been told my account had been closed, I find it unprofessional at best. Won't be going back. read more

TLDR: TITLE has no qualms about failing to inform you about their cancellation policy, and charging you for months after you leave (and believed you cancelled!). I signed up for a two month membership because I was in Columbus for the summer and wanted to try a new kind of workout. The workouts were tough and fun, and I really enjoyed them. And I left with that favorable impression, but now my impression has completely flipped. In what I thought was accordance with the 30-day cancellation policy, I called on July 15 to cancel my membership, and the front desk told me that I was all set, that my membership cancellation would be processed, and that was all I needed to do. One month later, today, I noticed a $94 charge on my credit card from TITLE. When I called to inquire about this charge, the front desk informed me that I have to sign a form in order to cancel my membership, though I was previously told otherwise by the same front desk. I was even told there was no record at all of my July 15 cancellation call. Upset, I went into TITLE to sign the cancellation form and see if I could sort this out and reclaim my $94. I was told the same things in person. That I have to cancel by signing a form, and that there was no record of my July 15 call. Beyond this, the front desk employee told me how they were being kind in waiving the next month's membership fee as well if I signed then. "Kindness" in convincing me that I had indeed cancelled my membership, providing no services for a month, then charging me $94 and nearly charging me for another month. That is not kind - that is a plainly deceptive business practice. I realize I signed a contract that probably gives TITLE every legal right to charge me because I did not technically sign to cancel as required. But as far as customer service goes, this was abysmal. I stopped coming in for the past month because I believed, based on the TITLE employee's confirmation, that I had successfully cancelled my membership. This employee negligently failed to notify me that I couldn't cancel over the phone, and she even failed to make a note on my file that the call took place. Instead of apologizing and correcting the error, TITLE expressed doubt that I actually called on July 15 to cancel. And when I informed them I would no longer be a customer in the future, when I move to Columbus next year, the front desk employee responded, sneeringly, "that's fine." I had every intention of signing up again next summer when I move to Columbus, because I sincerely enjoyed the instructors and the workouts. After being skimmed for a hefty month's fee on my way out, however, I will never again be a customer at TITLE Grandview. I was met with no understanding of my predicament, only doubt as to my truthfulness. Your customer service needs some work, and I need a refund. read more

I paid an upfront membership fee for the whole year with Title, now I'm getting charged a service fee for not renewing my yearly membership! This is the second time I'm dealing with title, i signed a 1 year contract and the employee that works there who helped me with this assured me that it was just a one year contract since I paid for all 12 months upfront, now they're trying to scam me and tell me that I didn't "renew" the contract? I emailed them on 10/5/2019 in writing that they should not renew my contract via email, and then I get calls from debt collectors regarding a delinquent account. I once again contacted their office on 12/16/2019 and they wanted a form AGAIN in writing from me stating non renewal request, which I did for a second time. Also, their classes are so redundant, and over priced. Wouldn't ever go back or want to deal with this place ever again. read more

I went in for the trial class last week. Let me say, it kicked my butt! The lady at the desk (Molly) was very polite (both for the tour a few days previously) and the day I came in for class. My instructor, Charles, was high energy, and amazing! The class flew by! I felt so motivated to do my best and Charles was great with giving me extra help with the combos without making me feel dumb or embarrassed. When I was leaving, I felt pumped and ready to sign up! The only problem was the amount of money they want! $500 + up front for a 12 month commitment...I just can't afford to shell that out for a gym membership, no matter how much I love it. I asked about monthly installments...I was leaning more towards the $50-$60 range but with them wanting first and last month up front as well, it seemed like they don't have much flexibility at all :( 5 stars for the workout and staff.. Big frownie face and zero stars for pricing and lack of flexibility. read more

This location opened very recently, and it's great. The décor is fun - useful but bright and light. The equipment is top notch, different weight bags for different folks, nice flooring, GREAT A/C!, and a booming sound system. I've found the class times to be pretty convenient. The schedule seems to still be in flux, but I can usually find a few classes per week that fit my schedule. The trainers are all great so far - their workout vary a bit, which is nice, and it's always a great sweat. Management seems approachable and interested in the clientele. Parking is super convenient. Came into try my first workout on Tuesday, June 23rd at 9:30 a.m. for a power hour boxing class after being contacted by Patty, one of the general managers of the Title Boxing Grandview location. As a marathon runner and cross fit guy, I figured boxing would give me a full body workout (including the core). Parking is decent and location is convenient as well. As soon as you enter, the music is bumping with a great gym layout. Around 40 heavy bags to accommodate a big class, medicine balls, kettle bells, and a shop at the front that sells you all the essentials. The staff is super nice and helped me with my hand wraps (they are 8 dollars plus tax, a reasonable value) when I arrived 20 minutes before class started. The class instructor was super ripped and gave me a great introduction to the structure of the class. Come 9:30 a.m., the power hour class was about to begin (there were 12 people including me for this particular class). The Power Hour class is structured into a 15 minute warmup, then 8 rounds of 3 minutes on the heavy bags with the gloves on (24 minutes), followed by a 15 minute core-workout cool-down. As a teacher, I appreciate a class that has structure with every minute accounted for. With the music bumping at 130+ BPM and an awesome instructor motivating you, the class session was high-calorie burning and amazing. As soon as the class ended and I wiped off the stretch mats, Patty began to discuss membership options and special. This is the part that fell through and I left Title Boxing less than satisfied. The June special that was offered to me required an upfront payment of $500+ for a buy 6 months, get 6 free promotion. While this would have offered me a premium membership, forking out the equivalent of a rent payment/2 car payments seemed to be more of a commitment than my Verizon wireless contract. When I had mentioned that I would just be looking to do a class once a week at a more reasonable rate (say $30/month), there was no budging room/flexibility on the part of the manager. Moreover, the Title Boxing website does not offer any flex option plans for folks looking for a once/week class. When I had asked if the upfront payment of $500+ could be put into monthly installments, again there was no budging room between me the customer and the manager. As a suggestion, she mentioned donating/selling plasma to pony up the $500+ for the membership. On that note, I'll avoid being a human pincushion at the "stab lab" for 2 1/2 months and welcome more promising gym offers that cause less pain to my wallet and veins. In summary, good facility with a great staff and effective workouts. The customers working out there are normal folks that want to take care of their bodies and are the furthest from the meathead Jersey Shore type. However, unless you drive a BMW 3 series and make enough to shell out $70 month for a membership, look elsewhere for a gym that fits your budget and gives more bang for your buck. read more

I am actually quite surprised at how many low ratings people are giving Title Boxing Club Grandview. Since I've joined back in August of 2015, I haven't had less than a stellar experience at this boxing club. From the moment I walked into my free class, to getting assistance picking out gloves, to signing off on the payment plan, I've have yet to encounter an unprofessional moment here. Staff has been amazing here--almost always greeting you as you enter and leave! As a current graduate student, this location has worked with me on a payment plan that fits best for me and my budget. When I ran into issues with the payment plan, I was directed to Patty, the Club Manager. After our conversation, I was better informed with the different payment options. I was even able to get in touch with the club owner, who was flexible and responsive through emails. When talking about professionalism, I think it's important to address whether we're professional as clients, too. Having been a member at other fitness gyms before, I understand how expensive memberships can be. Unless you're getting a membership at an open gym, anything else can be pricey. In a sense, I just remind myself that the payment plan keeps me accountable, because I can get access to unlimited classes. With that, I've been able to consistently take multiple classes a week, finding time out of my busy schedule to show up. As others have stated, the classes vary per trainer teaching. I've seen trainers help modify for others, joke around, affirm, and just really have fun. Depending on the time, certain classes will be fuller, especially those at night after work. Either way, whether I'm one of two people in class or one of forty, I've left every single class soaked in sweat because of the intense workout. I love boxing at Title, because while it can get easier with time and practice, it never stops to be challenging! I'm going to make the most of my last few months in Columbus, dreading when I have leave, because I know I'll have to leave my home location at Title Boxing Club Grandview. It'll be difficult finding a club better than this one! :) read more

I use ClassPass and typically only go on Sunday's for the 75 minute classes. I drive 25 minutes because this is my favorite Title in Columbus. The instructors have well thought out programming and awesome music! read more

This would normally get a 5 star be sure the trainers are awesome!! The problem is that it is lime being in high school. Don't get attached to the trainers here because the front desk/management and trainers date eachother and when they break up, it is usually the trainer that goes. They bring too much of their personal life into the business. They have lost 2 trainers to this in the last 6 months. Kim and Cassie, GM and Assistant Manager, are not approachable. They are very intimidating and look at you with blank stares most of the time. The workouts are amazing, just steer clear of the front desk. read more

Though the class was a great workout, the customer service made me not want to return for another class. Like the website instructed I showed up 15 minutes early for my first class, and not one of the two women that sat behind the desk offered to show me around or help me feel acquainted with the studio/boxing experience. Though I was familiar with kick boxing, that shouldn't have deterred them from familiarizing me with the studio and class. Instead of asking me if I enjoyed the class as I left I received an email and text message asking about my experience. I will not be returning to Title Boxing because of the poor customer service. read more

So, I've been a member of Title Boxing since 2013. I joined before TBC Grandview existed. When they opened, I tried their location out but decided I didn't care for their space as much as some of the others in town. Their parking lot sucks and is small, the gym itself is smaller, and there are a lot of college students. I also got weird vibes from their staff too so I just decided to avoid it. Last year, I moved south of downtown so this location was closer. I started going pretty regularly this year to Grandview. They have great trainers here and the best ab workouts compared to the other locations I've been to around town. Here's my issue. I went last week and they said I needed to pay a drop in fee because my membership is no longer able to go to multiple locations as of September 1st. I get a corporate discount so I guess that's why. Their corporate made this rule, that's fine. What I didn't appreciate was how rude their staff was about it. Mind you, I had been regularly going throughout the month of September without anyone informing me of this new policy. The owner and the manager were both there and didn't really give me a clear explanation. Patty, the manager was exceptionally unpleasant. Since I joined the Henderson Road location I'd have to "take it up with them" when I told her that I didn't know about any change to my membership. No explanation at all from the owner, whatever his name is. Like, sorry I didn't join your gym at first. Bottom line: they lost a potential sale from me because I could have cancelled my first membership and joined the Grandview with the corporate discount. If they had just explained what was going on, maybe I would have done that but they acted annoyed and incredibly rude so I just left. In the end, I called my home gym at Henderson Road to get an explanation and got a call back from that gym's owner, Ben, personally, and he explained everything clearly. So, I'll just go there from now on since everyone there is a human being. Two stars to Grandview for their trainer quality otherwise a solid one star. read more

I got a two week pass on another site and thought I'd give it a try. The location is very convenient for me, as well as their class schedule. Most of the clients are college students, and the staff is a very mixed bag. Some of the girls at the front desk are helpful, others act as though you're bothering them. Some of the trainers (Andre) are very positive and give modifications if you're not able to do some of the exercises, others just sort of scream the entire time so I avoid their classes like the plague. I guess it's a matter of finding which personalities mesh with yours. I try to just ignore everyone and do my absolute best. The classes are very difficult, and I always leave soaked in sweat. I like the fact I don't have time to think "ugh this sucks" like I do on the treadmill at the gym because the classes are so fast paced. I also like the fact there seems to be multiple fitness levels and everyone just does their best. read more

I have fallen in love with the classes at Title Boxing. The staff is great from the front desk staff to the managers to the trainers. I tried a free class in the summer and loved it, but wasn't ready to commit. I wasn't sure I'd want to do a boxing class more than once a week, so wasn't positive a membership would be worth it. Don't get me wrong...the class was great...I work out, and this class was a challenge. I was definitely sore the next day! I put it on hold, but they were running a special this month, so I reconsidered. I emailed and asked if I could try another class before signing on, and the club manager, Patty, was super nice and said sure. I loved the second class too (taught by Andre) and even though it was in the same format, it was different enough from the previous class that I took. All of the boxing classes have 15 minutes of warm up, then 8 - 3 minute boxing rounds with 1 minute of "active rest" (this is not rest at all....you can get a drink, and then do squats, push ups, lunges, or whatever the trainer tells you to do while they give you the next boxing sequence), followed by 15 minutes of core work. It is definitely a total body, killer work out. And each trainer has their own twist, and gives different warm up exercises and boxing sequences. So even though the classes have the same general format, every class is different. Having gone when they first opened in the summer, and now 6 - 8 months later, I can say that the facility is still in pristine condition. Clean, equipment is in good shape, restrooms are tidy. The staff is nice, including the trainers. They really make an effort to make their way around the room to make sure everyone understands what the boxing sequences are, and to encourage everyone to keep going. Glad I joined! read more

Total scam. There's plenty of other gyms in grandview, don't pick this one. I paid $100 each month, and they had the nerve to say after I paused my account (the day after I noticed I was charged) that they wouldn't allow me to get those days back. Another scam was when they offer "free month for a friend referral." I had a friend join and they never gave me a month free. Once I changed my credit card info they sent me to collections. PICK A DIFFERENT GYM!! read more

I love this gym -- they have great instructors and the classes mix in conventional exercises with boxing training. My only complaint is that the schedule isn't always up-to-date (I recently signed up for a class online...then showed up and the gym was closed!). read more

Sarah is AMAZING. You can tell that she doesn't just do this as a fun side gig, but that this is her passion. It will be hard to have any other instructor after having her. Not only did she push me and kicked my butt, but she was able to give instructions that changed the way I did things and made me feel a much bigger burn. For example when she had us down in a plank she told us to pull our elbow to our toes to tighten our core. Wow. I would not be surprised if she went to school to be an athletic trainer. read more

I've been working out since I was 16 -- soccer, TRX, yoga, cycling, weights -- and I am stronger than I've ever been, thanks to Title Boxing. Here's how each class breaks down: 15-minute warm-up -- jumping jacks, squats, ice-skaters, etc., plus a few punches to warm up the shoulders. Fast-paced, not boring. 30 minutes of boxing a heavy bag -- This is basically interval training, which is the key to better cardio performance. Go hard for 3 minutes, active rest for 1 minute. The trainers demonstrate each punch for you, then walk around to see if anyone needs help. 15-minute ab workout -- Brutal. Worth it. Title Boxing Grandview has a friendly, staff and amazing trainers who will encourage and coach you to do more than you knew you could. I am 20 years older than most of them, and I feel welcome every time I work out. The gym is clean and well maintained. The heavy bags are in great shape. I can't believe I own bright green boxing gloves, but I do and I love them. Title Boxing Grandview is owned by a local couple who are the real deal. They're very much involved in the gym and in the Columbus community. They host regular fund-raiser workouts to raise money for causes that matter. Give it a shot, do what you can, and watch yourself get stronger with every class. I especially recommend it it people who are going through something difficult in their lives. It's the quickest path to feeling better. read more

I went in for my free class last week and just finished my 2nd this evening. I loved both experiences! The staff was friendly and helpful, and the workout was intense. Sara, the trainer, kept the energy up and helped me (and others around me) stay accountable without shaming anyone. It is a little pricey, but I figure my health and wellness is worth it. Staff was rude. I went there for my first class and the employees were not very welcoming. I told them I needed help and they just kept going on with their conversation. Then the instructor he just yelled a bunch of things and never really taught you how to do any of the moves. He never was trying to help any of the people taking the class. The one plus is that it was a good workout. read more

Probably one of the best fitness classes I have ever experienced. The trainers are great and make the workout challenging but very fun. Even took my kids in for a Sunday workout and they loved it too. Highly recommend giving it shot. read more

I prepaid for a year long membership according to some deal they had going at the time. Buy 6 months, get 6 months free. After 6 months time I got an email noting that my account was delinquent and I was going to be charged a service fee. I ignored it thinking it must be a mistake. Got a second email saying my account would now be turned over to a collection agency. I called the collection agency and they referred me back to the gym who told me I would have to wait and speak to a manager. The manager called me back a few days later to say my account was fine, not delinquent and I would not be charged. Fast forward 6 months, my membership expired and they again sent an email saying my account was delinquent and I would be charged. When I called to ask about it I was told I owed them $95 for the current month and would have to pay that before I could "cancel." I was under the understanding that pre paying for a years membership meant the membership would expire. I never signed or agreed to a renewal of any kind. If I don't pay the $95 fee to cancel they will continue charging me each month and that will be the new amount I owe before I can cancel. So all that said, beware. And the classes aren't that great, I only used my membership for about a month. Repetitive and boring classes unlike other boxing gyms I've attended before coming to Ohio. read more
