Since I've been there: The pool has been shut down, the daycare is never open, there is never any staff walking around cleaning anything, the rope is in the trainer area so you can't use it but there is rarely anyone in there, the option for disabled people is limited, the locker room has below average amenities, and some of the machines are completely rusted out (elliptical trainers) which could be a health code violation. Then there are around 6 desks in the front as you walk in, where "sales-personal trainers" sit and harass you to get personal training which is around $400-$500 a month..... who can afford that now? Overall, my personal opinion is that this facility is old and dusty, it needs a lot of updating to be the caliber of gym that Bally's once represented long ago, and it definitely needs new equipment To meet safety standards! I personally can not believe the owner of this business keeps those machines on the floor, all it takes is one slip and someone could get tetanus. In a post Covid world, LA Fitness needs to do a lot better in the hygiene department for the customers who place their trust in them to help with their fitness goals; rusty equipment is completely unacceptable.

The staff was welcoming and attentive, and the gym seemed overall clean, but it was a bummer that so many machines were not working. My only other critique on planet fitness is the lighting in here is a little bright and harsh for my liking, as I'm used to a lower, dimmer light at my gym, but overall we still got in a decently good workout, despite not having all machines available.

I only attended 1-2x a week but…read morethe amount of work you put in every class doesn't require an every day commitment which was a huge appeal for me. I had tried other fitness programs where I'd burn 200-300 calories a session and it just wasn't worth it to me. At OTF the minimum I burn is 500. Another thing I love is the variety of class. It's typically broken up into time on the treadmill, rower, and weight floor. So when you are about to vomit your breakfast all over your treadmill and throw in the towel, the coach flags you to the next area strengthening your will to continue. The playlists are always fire. The coaches are like friends or family. They will even call you if you miss a few sessions and make sure you're not dead. They offer classes all throughout the day which is big for me because I frequent the 5am class and also late afternoon and everything in between. When I don't attend for a few weeks, I can feel my sanity start to slip away from me. Highly recommend.

If you've been to one Crunch, you've been to them all. The thing that sets this particular location…read morea part is the customer service. Everyone here is so helpful and nice. They really want you to have a good time while you work out. I weight-lift, so it's nice to go to a gym that won't scream at me for dropping the weight after I deadlift. But! It can get LOUD, and if you aren't into club level music, people practically naked, and serious lifters-- this may not be the gym for you. If you're not any of the above, they have classes throughout the day to get rid of your possible fear, and you can even do a kick off when you first start, for a small fee, with a trainer. Which helps you figure out what goal you have, and the steps you need to take to get there. The fee is comparable to other gyms around (Zoo is across the street and is about $20 more, Planet Fitness is up the street for a few bucks cheaper), and if you don't mind crowds, you'll love it here. I haven't experienced a wait for any of the cardio and guided weight machines, but you will experience a wait for some free weights and kettlebells. The sauna and bathrooms are all super clean, and there is always someone available to answer a question. They also have free wifi-- if the above didn't get you interested lol. I like to workout, so anywhere that there are weights is A-1 with me. This place fits the bill.

He is the best and creates an amazing environment at the gym, as he seemingly knows and greets everyone that walks in. Riverside is the perfect mix between somewhere a family, someone new to the gym, an experienced lifter or someone extremely serious about their health and well-being can go. I know this because I've seen so many of all of these different types of people as I've been working out there. Great environment, great people, great gym!

Today was my second visit to Body Tech and my rating is really closer to two stars. What I dig…read moreabout this "gym" is that it is family owned and it feels like a neighborhood gym where folks know each other and you feel like you're a part of the local community. On the weeknight I went, they even had children working out (football players and cheerleaders? in separate rooms). Here's my beef, today (Saturday 9 AM), our boot-camp instructor (doesn't work for Body Tech- I think he rents time there to teach his classes) wasn't there. I learned that one of his students, who is training to be a exercise instructor, would take over the class. Okay, no biggie. I showed up for a workout and I got one; it didn't matter to me who taught the class. Because our instructor wasn't there, the teacher from the previous class (before ours) had a key to Body Tech and did not feel comfortable allowing us to stay without an official instructor/key. After multiple texting between several parties, we were permitted to stay and work out. I heard that in the past, this bootcamp class had to do their session outside because there were no staff at the gym. During our work out, two separate people showed up for work outs scheduled with staff from Body Tech. One of those people stayed for 10-15 minutes and then left. The other person waited for about 10 minutes before his trainer showed up. This is my first experience with a gym that is not corporate owned, so this maybe is how it works. I'll skip the Saturday classes and stick with the weeknight workout when I know the doors will be open and instructors are present.
