I wish I could rate this place in 2 different ways. The personal trainers there deserve 5 stars hands down. They are the best in their field and keep in mind your limitations (injuries) and help strengthen and condition you. The classes are awesome! It keeps you on your toes and forces you to challenge yourself. The place in general needs improvement. The toilets don't always flush properly and there is not enough gym equipment to go around. The place is not big enough to hold exercise equipment for certain workouts. Again, the trainers are phenomenal, which means big classes; which can get crowded. So, if you're working with a personal trainer and there are others training on their own using the exercise equipment when there's not enough to go around, our trainers must get creative while we wait until the equipment we need becomes available. This takes time from the training slot. Unfortunately, I had to stop going do to I have to budget myself a bit more in order to manage my finances better. It is a place worth going to when you know you can manage it in your budget. ------------------------------------------- This part is for all fitness centers that have a contract and hopefully someone can improve and change this part of the business. What I don't like is, when the contract is expired they continue to take money from you. They should be able to implement an alert to stop charging customers after the contract ends or have them send an email alert 2 months prior to inquire if they want to renew the contract. It's 2019, why haven't they implemented this yet? I know the contract states we still have to mail them a letter to tell them to stop charging after a contract has expired. I'm just hoping at some point they can stop the charge at the expiration month. If apartments allow us to remove our card when the lease is up, so should fitness centers. This is just my thought on the matter and am not sure if any one has thought of this as well. read more

I called a day ahead to request my free class and went the next day. They offer loaner wraps and gloves. I brought my own gloves, but had left the tangled wraps at home, so I did borrow a pair of those. **if you are going to join, I'd recommend investing in your own gloves/wraps. Definitely more hygienic. Class consists of a 15 minute warm up (and it's tough), 30 minutes on the bag, and 15 minute abs/core/stretch. Each person has their own bag, you just walk over to one when you come in and lay your gloves down so everyone knows it's taken. You do not have to reserve a spot in class (I've seen this done elsewhere). Depending on where you are, it can be difficult to see/hear the instructor in the middle, so get closer if needed. They do have mics, but the music is loud. Music varies by instructor; some I like better than others because music can make or break a class for me, but that's all personal choice. You can stop to take a break/get water as needed. I signed up after that first class. They offer monthly, 6 month or annual memberships. I wasn't in the mood for another monthly bill, so I just paid in full (less expensive that way too). There are cubes in the back to store your bag, water, towel, etc. during class. Keep in mind, no one actually hits you. You do all the punching and kicking on the bag. It's a great workout and awesome way to relieve stress. Everyone is at a different fitness level, so there is no pressure to keep up with the person beside you. The best part is when the instructor comes around with the hand mitts. You are doing the same combo as you would on the bag, but for whatever reason having a person standing there makes you excited & nervous because you don't want to mess up. They have an app you can download. Use it to scan a barcode each class. On the 8th scan, you get a free pair of wraps. Staff seems friendly enough sometimes. Not sure why Yelp has their hours listed as 9am-5pm since the last class starts at 7:15pm during the week. Concerns: (1) I'm not sure that the floor mat ever gets cleaned. I know at another similar facility, they used a Swiffer type cleaner after each class. (2) The restroom has only one sink. We were all lined up just to wash our hands after class. (3) The schedule shows kickboxing on Thursdays. When I went to class, we never kicked the bag once, it was all boxing. Hopefully that was a one time mishap. Because I don't want to box every time, I like to mix it up with kicks too. On the website it lists Kickboxing on Friday at 5:45pm. However, when I went to class (expecting Kickboxing), it was something different - B Sprint, which is just a 30 minute workout (and there were no kicks). There are at least a couple other discrepancies. They really should make sure the info on the website and app are correct so members can choose the proper classes we'd like to attend. I came here fully intending to be a member long term like a regular gym facility. After about 3 months & unforeseen circumstances, I decided to cancel. When I called, they told me to email. I emailed and received a response from the rudest P.O.S , whom I don't even know what his position is there since he never introduced himself (Terry) or had an ounce of professionalism, claiming I had a one year contract & had to pay the remaining amount to cancel . What I don't appreciate is the deceptive practices used to get new members. When I signed on, Demetrius suggested I get the unlimited plan bc I could come and go without limitations. YES, I should have actually read the contract before I signed but I should have also been advise THAT IT IS A CONTRACT. Only month to month could be cancelled (which is stupid bc the payments are month to month!!!) I've also moved further away from the "club" so now I'm basically being forced to make donations to keep this bullshit place in business. Tried to go to the BBB but this isn't an accredited business. My personal experience with Title Boxing Plano was not a pleasant one. I prepaid for a year in advance and yes one does save money in the long run however you have to 100% guarantee you will be able to commit to your contract even if unforeseen circumstances present them self. I spoke with Brooke and was met with hostility regarding a refund on the remaining 7 months. I proceed to contact the new owners(Terry and Bond) I emailed Terry and Bond directly. They gave me an excuse they were loosing money and they do not have my money. If I wanted they (Terry and Bond) could contact the previous owner who had a reputation of being shady. This location needs better trainers. They used to have the most awesome trainers in the past but due to the owners and bad management, Title Boxing Plano lost them. In order for Title Boxing Plano to stop billing just change the card on file. If you call your bank/card company and inform them you lost your card/ stolen. They will send you a new card with new numbers on it. Title Boxing will no longer be able to bill you if they do not have the new card number. I cannot use this approach since I prepaid for a year in advance. Learn from my mistake and do not prepaid in advance. read more

I had a chance to talk to the owner last week before their opening after the coronavirus. He seems like a great guy that has a passion for boxing. I went to the first class this morning and had a blast. I used to fight Muay Thai for six years. After several injuries I had to throw in the towel. I have tried other gyms and never saw the compassion and adaption I got here. I explained to the trainer for the class my hand and foot injuries and they were more than happy to adjust the class and encourage me to keep going. For anyone that's wanting to get back into fighting or learning the basics. I 100% recommend this gym. The trainer had a great personality. They played great music. The gym was the cleanest I've trained at ( they even check everyone's temperature before you can train to keep it safe from coronavirus). No complaints whatsoever. This is the worst club I've ever been to. I took a trial class there and walked out of the class cause I couldn't take it being so lame. The instructor doesn't bother to greet new students. He yells in a corner to do different things which half of the class doesn't understand. He doesn't focus on any movements or the proper way to do any techniques. The studio itself looks like a money making place where there's no attention to any students or workout. It felt like the trainer was just yelling and telling everyone to do things paying no attention whatsoever if everyone understood how to do it or have any questions. I'm trained in Martial arts and have trained at a much better school. This club is such a gimmick and a waste of time. read more

I have been a member at Title in Plano now for a little over 3 months and it has been awesome. I played football in college and after my time was done, it was hard to find a gym that could replicate the intensity of the training I went through while an athlete. I didn't want to do crossfit because it strained my joints so I got online and found Title and did one class and became a member! I'm a bigger person so I burn anywhere from 550-800 calories per hour workout and I'm dead after every class. In comparison, my fiancee is petite and burns anywhere from 200-350 cals per workout. My intensity is a lot higher than hers, but that's cool because the class is what you make it. Some days I'm a little more tired than others and I can't go as hard but it's never an issue. The trainers are great and each person has a different style - some fit me better than others, but that's the case for everyone I imagine. I knew nothing about boxing on my first class and I think I can put together some combos in the ring with someone if need be! You will learn how to punch and kick which is probably the best thing so that you don't injure yourself. In all, the trainers know what they're talking about. They even offer 1 on 1 sessions (at a price). Pros: Awesome workout every time, friendly staff/trainers, classes nearly every 1.5hrs in the day Cons: Free weight section could be expanded a little bit. Gets crowded from time to time **They are making new improvements to the facilities and have hung new TVs, new lights, putting up new walls, bags, etc...** I think it will be one of the better gyms in N. Dallas in a few months once the renovation is complete! In all, I highly encourage anyone looking to get in better shape and improve your lifestyle to try at least one class...You will know immediately if it's for you or not. read more

Best way to experience Title Boxing is by purchasing the Groupon. Buy the one that offers free hand wraps...trust me, you want your own hand wraps. I bought the Groupon that offered the hand wraps, and 2 weeks of classes, Went to the first class, and was given white hand wraps, which the trainer will know you are the rookie in the room. They also give out free gloves to use for the session. WHAT A WORKOUT! I'm a little out of shape, but it was intense. DO NOT EAT BEFORE YOU WORKOUT. My legs were killing me for days afterwards, but what I noticed is this is a great workout. I loved it so much, I joined after 1 class. The workout is an all body work out, which has a 15 minute warm up (don't overwork yourself), 30 minutes on the bag (you will not get into the ring, so no worries about getting hit), and a 15 minute ab workout/cool down. You can go at your own pace, but the trainers will make sure that you work! They walk around the gym, and motivate you non stop. You can take a water break whenever you want, and I recommend it often. Bring a towel as well to wipe off all the sweat. Only negatives I see is the schedule on the website is not correct. The times are correct, but the name of the class may not be correct. Went to a class that said it was kickboxing, and it was not a kickboxing class. It was a regular boxing class, which most of their classes are boxing. Also, watch out for the "resolutioners" they will make the classes crowded, which makes the class difficult to move during the warm ups, after valentines day, the gym is clear. Mondays are more crowded, but I've noticed towards the end of the week, you can pick any bag you want! I recommend buying your own hand wraps, gloves, and bring a towel, lots of water, and great running shoes. Do not wear long sleeves or pants as this workout heats you up tremendously. read more

The trainers are great and it's my favorite workout by far. However, they said I would be able to move my membership to another club when I moved. After several weeks of phone calls, emails to corporate and visitations to each club, nothing was done and I was no longer valued. I canceled my membership altogether just to later receive a call saying I owed over $500. I've been a member for about 4 years now, and have tried so many other gyms and fitness centers, but I always come back to Title. This location, especially, is hands down my favorite! And it's all because of the trainers and the staff. The staff is always friendly and helpful when I need them, and the trainers are tough but fun and they always deliver a kickass workout! Each trainer is different, so it keeps your body confused and on your toes and you always leave sore (the best). Another great thing about the trainers that I find are different from any of the other locations is that they really care about your form and take the time to teach you. And there's no favoritism. They make sure that everyone in class is helped and I absolutely love that. My favorite trainers have to be Francis, Raymond, James, George, Josh, Wayne...seriously everyone hahaha! Go sign up! I had a hard time cancelling the account. Apparently no one at the club is allowed to cancel the membership. You're supposed to call this 800 number and leave a message for this woman who will never call you back. After calling her and leaving 3 messages and then calling the club, she calls me back and reads the fine print of the contract saying i have to give 30 day notice and one more payment. The club may not know about the end date unless she puts it in the system. She was very condescending on the phone. As far as the club, 6pm hour does get extremely crowded and a few people have to share bags. The bathroom smells and there isn't enough room to change so you end up going home covered in sweat. read more

My wife signed up for this club and loved it when we lived nearby! I will not comment on the staff and facilities but I would like to comment on their membership and cancellation policies. We moved away from the area and tried to cancel the membership only to find out that "there are other locations near us," and are unable to cancel our membership. When my wife signed up they assured her that she could cancel in the event we move away from the club. Now, almost a year later, we are trying to get in touch with there accounts receivable department to cancel the membership and they are completely unresponsive. If you decide to participate in Titles services please do not sign up for a contract. It isnt worth the headache. read more

The instructors will rotate classes throughout the area, so it's possible that you'll find your favorite instructor here, too. I love this place! I get bored with going to the gym and do the whole treadmill routine. This holds my attention and the classes are always changing(in a good way). I enjoy Josh's classes. He teaches you right stance, right hits etc. He keeps classes motivating, upbeat and fun. Very Friendly and helpful. This was my very first visit and the help and kindness that I received was great! One of the owners Bud helped me with my wraps, and gloves and explained a bit about the club to me. Then I had my first boxing workout. The Trainer George knew his stuff and was great at leading the class. He also helped me modify a few warm up exercises for a knee issue that I have. When the workout was over I signed up for a membership. Not only is it a great workout and the staff is knowledgeable, helpful and friendly, but it felt to me like the people who work there and the ones who own the business really like what they do and enjoy helping others. It was a great experience. If you are thinking about a new place for a workout then this is the place. It does not matter your fitness level the staff will help you modify for your needs. Don't be fooled by the response sent by the management. They do not answer when I return their call. There are no intentions of fixing the problem. Don't fall for the smoke and mirrors. Find a gym that cares about the customer. Be very careful with the contract. They take your card information for month to month after your contracted time. They will not take care of you when you attempt to cancel. Nobody answers the phone when you call. They also will tell you they have cancelled it when in fact they have not. Go to a gym that cares about the customer. You would think with all the competition out there they would put in some more effort. Carla, Albert, and another girl (I forgot her name...sorry!!) were motivating, accommodating (I asked for the air to be turned up a bit), and overall superb!!!! I definitely recommend coming here! The best "boxing" club in this area. Uptown is a close second. Great workout starting with a 15-minute warm up. "Boxing" is on the bag for 30 minutes with about 1.5 minute rounds and the breaks are more workouts. Last 15 minutes is mostly abs. Great team of trainers and staff. The best trainers are Noel and Darrell. They will work you out HARD and keep an eye on every single person. Don't know how they cover everyone but somehow they help every single person. Some people don't want the hard workout so their classes are not as full as they should be. If you're going to pay the money and invest your time you should get the best workout-Noel and Darrell. I didn't give a 5-star for a few reasons. They can do a better job of keeping the on-line schedule updated. The app is hit-and-miss. I plan my days around specific trainers and sometimes the schedule is wrong. Darrell has a fantastic weight class as well on Saturdays. They should have that more days of the week. Last thing is the lack of gym equipment. For the money, it's sad that you get a crappy treadmill and weight rack. They need to carve out some space and update the equipment. All-in-all it's a great gym for a good workout. read more

Something needs to be done about the A/C. The past month or more the A/C has been turned off during the classes. With the temperatures increasing outside, there is no reason the A/C should be off. I have even complained to the front desk only to have the person at the front do nothing. From a safety aspect, it's ridiculous for there to be no A/C in a gym where people of all backgrounds, sizes and athletic abilities attend. I have now cancelled my membership because I no longer feel that the management has control of the gym. read more

Such a great workout! Talk about a calorie burn. This was my first time to try a boxing session as workout. George was my trainer and he is why I gave this place 5 stars. He introduced himself right away and helped me with my hand wraps and gloves without me even asking for assistance. He did a great job at giving everyone in the room a lot of attention. He spent extra time with me and I truly appreciate the patience he had with my struggles. I was a rookie and it could have been an intimidating experience, but he made me feel comfortable. THE WORST GYM, STAY AWAY, I had called this place to ask them and inform them about canceling my membership the owner kept trying to make me stay when I had advised her I moved, in the end she told me I would need to email my cancellation, and told me "sorry you didn't work out" in a rude attitude. So I had forgotten about emailing them and let them have one more month, still without going, they then turn around and debited my account 2 weeks early. So I then emailed to cancel my membership 2 months later they still have not done so. The owner/ manager is a witch and I will definitely be taking action against this disgusting place. read more

I loved the workouts, and the trainers were great. My issue comes with management, and how the new manager is unethical. I tried to cancel my account a while back due to me moving away from this club and taking a new job that requires me to travel quite a bit. Trying out a new club closer to home, wasn't really an option. They convinced me to put my account on hold rather than cancel. Then without any notification my account went active again, and I was charge $63 for membership I would not be using. I contacted them at the first of the month to let them know I wouldn't be able to use it and requested a refund. I was denied by the new manager, for no reason other than she did not want to do what is right. They are now charging me for a month of service that I am not receiving, plus a $50 cancellation fee. The $50 fee is acceptable to me, but to knowingly charge me for a month of service that I can not use after I have notified them is unethical and bad business. I will spread the word to as many people as possible about this club, and I will never visit another Title Boxing again (as much as I loved the workout and would have liked to rejoin when my work schedule settled). read more

She helped me more than once with different requests. When it comes to trainers, I really don't have a preference since they are all professional, friendly and highly skilled.
