Right when I walk in she was rude with a horrible attitude. Didn't get a welcome after I was being respectful and nice. I ask if I can use the atm machine and she starts scolding me repeatedly for not swiping the card I entered it since it had a chip. Then I do as she told me and she goes hey hey ey ey ey!! You don't listen to my instructions. She said I won't help you with your transaction and you can take your business somewhere else and literally told me to leave. I came to visit family from California and had to make a really important payment for rent and this is the treatment I get from this horrible human being. Can't find anything go ahead and continue to the end thinking maybe it'll show up there. It does not. It says congratulations you've been approved. And I'm like, I don't even know if I want it. So I had to call the number...I NEED DETAILS.... The girl I spoke with was rude, nothing unusual there. I asked her what the interest rate was she said 80.2%. I thought I was going to hurl. Thankfully I dont need the money.....YOWZA...I asked her nicely to please cancel the loan. She hung up on me. (there are words for people like that...but I hold my tongue) Had to call back and got another representative and told her that the lady just hung up on me and I recently applied for a loan, thank goodness they wanted more information like proof of income and yada yada. There is absolutely no way in hell I would ever give them my bank account information. These people are nothing but scammers. 80%. Jesus Christ. I wanted to know if the Signature loan they offer required my car to be used as collateral or if I needed the title because I wasn't going to do that. I couldn't get a straight answer from talking to a rep over the phone and the chat thing was no better. This is a copy of the chat convo I had with "Brittany P" from Instaloan. LAUREN: Yes i'm interested in the signature loan. Why do i keep getting asked if i'm making car payments if this loan does not involve needing a title or anything about my car? Brittany P: Because our signature loan requires a vehicle that you are still paying on LAUREN: I was told by 2 people that this loan did not involve my vehicle Brittany P: Okay, you may contact your local store for further information. LAUREN: I would just like an honest answer please. Does a signature loan require me to use my car as collateral in any way Brittany P: Lauren I have provided you with the information that I have. I tried the chat thing one more time, hoping to get another representative. Got the SAME person and as soon as the chat opened again with Brittany P, she obviously saw it was the same person again and immediately closed the conversation without saying anything. To make a long story short, I finally got a straight answer from someone and the answer is YES, even for a signature loan you have to use your car as collateral. They won't tell you that until you're sitting in front of them and they run your credit report. Also, I know someone else who used Instaloan and they were late on their first payment because their wallet was stolen. A person from instaloan came to their freaking house and left a note on their door. Didn't ring the doorbell or knock. Just taped a note on the door (for anyone to read I might add, as this was an apt. complex). How freaking creepy is that?! In my opinion that steps over the line. I can understand mailing a letter, or putting one in the mailbox...but leaving a hand written note on someone's front door is straight up unprofessional.
