Before the doctor even talked to me, He started to yell about how old the scans I brought in were. ( they were taken less than 6 weeks before- the amount of time it took me to get an appointment) He just got meaner as the appointment went on. I sat and said nothing, because I was so surprised by his demeanor. I was there because my dentist referred me because In the process of getting an implant it was discovered I had some bone loss that needed addressed for the implant to work The treatment plan he suggested was very invasive and costly. I went and had two other consultations elsewhere where I was treated kindly and given other options. The practice I ultimately chose took great care of me .They treated me with compassion, used a much less invasive procedure and less costly treatment plan.

My granddaughter was to have some teeth extracted this morning. Well, this is Monday 1-6-25 the day of our beautiful snow. My granddaughter has Broad Spectrum Autism, and her anxiety level goes thru the roof. Before she would get in the car I had to call the office and ask them if her retainer should fit after and how many teeth were going to be taken out. I had already explained that it is impossible to know, but wanted to hear from their office. She was right beside me in our kitchen...after I explained why I was calling before we left, I ask if she could please tell my granddaughter what she told me, I was trying to put the call on speaker so that I could hear what was being said... the call disconnected. (Number of extractions was wrong, said 3, was to be 5). Thinking I disconnected call somehow, we left for said appt. Today is our wonderful snow storm day with all of the snow advisories. We get maybe little less than a quarter mile away from home.. roads around our home and main road we need to travel on (RT 30-West), were covered in snow...I will be 79 in about 3 months. The Monroeville office is approx 40 miles away. Some cars were sliding, so I decided to call and reschedule, as weather called for continued snow pretty much rest of the day, and it made me very nervous! Linda was very nice at this time, seemed very understanding and said "no problem under the circumstances), and rescheduled appointment later this week, of which I was surprised being no waiting. We get home I have a voice mail, plus a text asking me to call them. I did so and Linda answered the phone... oh boy... she started. Said Dr. Ichner said we will not see your granddaughter any longer. Said she told Dr Ichner that there was a question regarding a retainer and number of extractions and cancelled today's appt. (It is now 3:46 and still snowing), mainly due to questions and we had to reschedule 2 appointments prior... one she had the flu, other she was called into work during Christmas break. I said we were disconnected from our call this morning, her response was "I disconnected the call being I did not hear anything". I told her I was putting her on speaker, of which she knew. Said she told Dr Ichner about the call and questions, his decision was to cancel the appt just made and that we had to "find another oral surgeon", also said referring Doctor has been "Made Aware". We were on our way, my granddaughter had done all prep requirements, however you cannot control the snow!! DID NOT CARE. She's beyond RUDE!! After reading the reviews before I wrote this, I am convinced we are so much better off not being involved with this office and practice!! GOOD LUCK. I have never left a negative review in my life..this is a first!! I do not file law suits, however, their response makes me question maybe how many there have been??

Spoke with them monthly about the final bill. "Oh no don't worry about this until we fix it." Have my insurance info each time we spoke. January they said it'll be fixed by end of month. If I don't hear back, it's been fixed". HOWEVER, 45 days later I'd been turned over to collections AND they won't return my calls anymore AND my insurance company hasn't heard from them. Paid in full now. Fine! Canceled my 3 implants and will go elsewhere moving forward. Buyer beware.

The dentist said since I was allergic to everything they usually used, they weren't going to prescribe anything. She stated pulling the tooth next to the infection would get rid of the infection, not surprisingly it did not. I'm not sure where her reasoning came from, but it was flawed. I would urge everyone to stay far away from Aspen Dental.

I'm now being told I won't get my money from the office until I get my tooth restored over 3 months from now, from a different dental provider. Greedy, lying, crooks who were now paid twice and won't release my funds to me. Never use an office like this. Imagine what else they do to make an extra buck. Dr. Manning and his assistant took good care of me during the procedure, even wiping my tears when I was crying from being so scared. The procedure was quick (30 minutes) and the post surgery instructions were clear. My follow up appointments were thorough and Dr. Manning communicated with my dentist about my procedure. No one wants to have gum grafting but if you need to have it done, you can trust Dr. Manning.

I found this office just by looking for a location near my work after my usual dentist had to…read morereschedule my regular checkup due to a staffing shortage. I am pleased to have found Polished Dental Group. I actually really liked my other dentist so was apprehensive about going somewhere else, but I didn't want to wait because I thought I had a cavity. Well, unfortunately I was correct about the cavity. But fortunately I was really happy with the service I received. I'm a nervous dental patient with a small mouth. I'm sure I'm not a joy to work on. But both the hygienist and the dentist were patient and pleasant with me. When we first started the hygienist said I had to have full X-rays done but insurance only covers every three years. Immediately I figured I was going to have to pay a ton. But she explained if insurance didn't cover, it was only $10. This set me at ease immediately that they wouldn't nickel and dime me. My insurance covered anyway, but still. Additionally, all costs were upfront for everything. I opted for fluoride which my insurance doesn't cover. Was told cost before proceeding. When I checked out, I was also told how much my filling would be at next visit. It was all very reasonable. Like I said I'm a very nervous dental patient. During my cleaning and inspection, both the hygienist and dentist were vocal about what they were doing and that they would be gentle around my sensitive tooth (yes, the cavity!). Usually I feel like I am pulling away and wincing and generally freaking out. But their reassurances relaxed me, and I could calm down. And they were very gentle around the area so as not to cause me pain. I am so glad I found this office and so grateful for their excellent chair side manner. I can't say I'm looking forward to coming back (did I mention the cavity?), but at least I can be much less nervous about the upcoming filling.

I have never found a perfect dentist that has it all. The location is on the bus line for me and easy for me to get to. I like hanging in the Oakland area so that worked out well for me. So about my first time pleasant experience, I have nothing but positive things to say and can't think of one negative thing to say. I had no problem making an appointment either. Calling the office is easy to get a hold of compared to other offices where it's hard to get through or even schedule an appointment. The receptionist was friendly and greeted me. I believe her name is Nicole. The dental hygienist was real nice too and thorough at her job. She made me comfortable by being gentle on my teeth when scraping the plaque off. Her name is Lauren. It was real easy of a checkup which how it should be. As for Dr. Cushman, he was a real nice man and a real good dentist checking my mouth thoroughly for cavities and he was able to answer my questions well. I have felt real comfortable and I am looking forward to having Dr. Cushman as my future dentist! If he retires, I hope someone just as good as him and his staff replace him. If you are looking for a new dentist and have a fear of dentists, this is the place to go I recommened where you will feel the most comfortable. I will be going to this dentist from now on every 6 months for a teeth cleaning and if I have any problems with my mouth, I will trust this dentist office too.
