Very RUDE manager, JUDY, at this store on a power trip and disrespectful. She STALKED me and HARRASSED me when I walked out the door. I went to this store yesterday afternoon to exchange a sweater I got as a gift from my daughter for a smaller size at a higher price but the clerk at no.2 said I have to go find one with the ticket price to know how much it was. I could not find the exact the same color but I found the same brand on clearance for $19.99 and my daughter paid around $30.00 with tax. When I went to take it to the clerk from #2 with the turban wrap, she said she was going on break and that I have to come back and form the line again when I find one with the price. When I got to the front again that clerk was still not back. The clerk I got this time was a guy and he had no idea of what to do and called the manager right away. I was going to buy a different sweater and pay the difference but the Manager that came up, Judy was very rude and not nice at all. She asked if my daughter had the receipt or email receipt, so I called my daughter and she said she no longer has the receipt and she doesn't do email receipts because they clutter her emails. I don't know what the problem was the sweater I brought back was too big and still brand new and unworn plus I was just going to pay the difference. The Manager Judy said we can make exceptions sometimes but that's our Poll-a-see, with a heavy accent for Policy, and would not let me trade it., and said "No" to exchanging it then sarcastically said "Have a nice day". I told her how can I have a nice day with the way you treated me here and made me get in your long line twice when the other clerk told me I could exchange it if I find another sweater with the price. It seemed that not all the clerks are trained the same or know their policies, but now the manager is saying no, and her female minion next to her butted in and started telling me she's the manager whatever she says when I was talking to the manager not her. I told the manager I was going to write a review about the rude way she treated me and that 200 people will probably read it my review and after that she kept watching me as I was going out the door and to my car. I was parked in the handicapped and I noticed that she also went out the door with her phone in her ear pacing up and down the sidewalk watching me and talking to someone. I guess she was trying to act important and on her power trip, like if she had her eyes on a shoplifter when the sweater was gifted to me. Oh and they have security clamps on everything, so what was she trying to prove. I drove past her I told her to stop stalking me and stop harassing me, then she yelled. you need to take your medicine. I shouted back, I don't need medicine, then again she yelled, you need to take your medicine. That's crazy maybe, she needed her medicine and depends on it and is accusing me. I don't take mood stimulants or psychotics if that's what she was referring to. I know all about those drugs. CPhT fill prescriptions we know what they're for and all the side effects. I don't know what was wrong with her. I can't believe she came outside the store to harass me like that. I honestly think she wishes i would have stolen the sweater so she can be praised and rewarded for following me out the door. I don't steal and that would be stupid to steal a cheap article from a store I never shop at, that's a foolish thing to do just to end up going to jail. I have important State and County jobs even worked as a Certified Pharmacy Technician my record is clean and has always been clean all my life. The Manager, Judy is obviously on a power trip and she's barking up the wrong tree. If she wants to stalk customers and chase them out the door she should go work at a prison. She never even once said sorry. She doesn't know how to be polite and treat a customer with respect. She acted sarcastic and rude. I don't recommend this store with this kind of service and kooky management. You're better off shopping someplace else. Even Walmart treats you better. read more

T J Maxx is also the Home Goods store and I think it's part of Marshall's. I could be wrong, but who cares! The stuff they sell is great! It's like Big Lots on steroids! I enjoy shopping here. I find the best clothes and varies other stuff here! I especially like the children's section since kids grow so fast. The selection is fairly good and the price is even better. This particular store tries really hard to stay organized and clean. I've been here multiple times and some of the shoppers are simply rude people. This becomes even more evident when you wait 20 plus minutes to check out. Specific types of patrons will have family members wait at the check out till they are done shopping. Woohoo!! This location is as good as it gets. I'm a huge TJ Maxx fan and I was thrilled to find this location. Each TJ Maxx has a niche. This location seems to get stocked quicker than other locations and always seems to have more to choose from. I know because I circulate among 4 of them in this area. If you're not a part of their loyalty program called TJX Rewards Acess, shame on you!!! it's free! As a TJX Rewards Access member, you get first dibs on arrivals, free giveaways and invitations to private parties (many more perks with a credit card but my husband will divorce me if I get one more credit card, lol). Never have a problem returning anything with a receipt. At one time there was a line just for returns. Now that make you get in line with the mob that's checking out. Not happy about that. Five Stars for the great gifts I found for Christmas. And for the great prices all year round. Love this place! read more

This place isn't even worth shopping at due to the RIDICULOUS length of the line and minimal cashiers. There is no "return" line so you're forced to stand in line with everyone who is waiting to pay out. When I walked in the store there were FORTY FIVE people in line in front of me. I went into the TJ Maxx on Stacy Road in Allen Texas this afternoon. I wanted to purchase a "Baby Shower" gift with my gift card that I received for the store with credit card points. After finding the baby items that I would purchase, I stopped by housewares and then the jewelry counter. When I got there, I had a chance to browse. No one else was there. When the sales rep (Indian Descent) walked to the jewelry counter, she greeted me, but proceeded to pass me. Once at the register, she asked if I wanted to see anything? I said; yes. She continued to fumble with whatever it was she had in her hand. I'm standing there waiting and a woman (Caucasian) walks up to the counter. She asks to be checked out. The salesperson advised her that she would need to check out up front. The woman then complains about the long line. I looked down into the jewelry display and when I looked up again, the salesperson was checking this woman out. I IMMEDIATELY advised that I was here FIRST. The salesperson tells me that she will be right with me. WHAT!!!!!!! I immediately advised her that this wasn't fair and instead of her advising the woman to wait, she continues to check her out. I say; ARE YOU KIDDING ME! You haven't stopped to come back to me and if the customer that you are assisting had ANY integrity oe decency, she would have done the right thing, but NO. I continued by saying that this is a perfect example of "white privilege"and open discrimination. The salesperson says; I will be right with you. I advised her that it would NOT be necessary and I marched right up to the front of the store and asked for the manager. Toni came to assist me because she advised that the Manager was in a meeting. As I began to recite my story, I started to cry. This was hurtful and embarrassing because as a back person, I did not want to bring attention to myself. Especially not knowing what the outcome would be. Toni apologized, checked me out expeditiously and I left. The line had to be 40 people deep. It is 2021 and it feels as if the we have gone backwards - by decades. It HURTS because it is now fashionable to be racist and treat people of color with little or no respect. This was our first time shopping at this TJMaxx. We got here around 6:30PM, grabbed a few things and were in line around 6:45PM. The line is moving slower than my grandma. There is only one cash register open while all the other 5+ employees are chit chatting away. I ultimately returned the sandals but the swimsuits are just as nice as the day I bought them. Please don't misunderstand me, I'm not trying to defend TJ Max employees. They treat everyone like crap, not just black people. I was in the store just recently and wanted to buy a dog raincoat. The price was really good and it was just what my pet needed. The line had about 40 people in it and the cashiers were going very slow. At least they had more than 1 cashier this time. I have never once been so angry to not return to a store, but today that changed. After not one but TWO encounters with Esther, I will never return to this location. To describe her, she is the older Asian woman who works the fitting rooms. She is rude, treats you like a thief, and looks at you like a criminal. Checking every inch of your basket to the point of you being uncomfortable, and feeling shamed. My first encounter with Esther, she literally checked inside my purse that was sitting wide open in the cart, because my daughters were eating snacks. She even went as far as asking me if I had merchandise in my purse... After trying on all of my items, my daughter had to use the restroom so I asked where it was and she replied with "You're not taking that stuff into the bathroom!" I walked away from her, took it all into the bathroom, helped my daughter use the restroom and guess what? Left the bathroom, and PAID FOR IT. To prove a point that her judgmental attitude is an issue. I walk in there as a mother with two children and pay for all of my items, always. I do NOT steal, and I am not a thief. I do not condone such behavior. So to be treated like such, is absolutely crossing the line. Let alone treating me like this in front of my small children, it will not be swept under the rug. Today she wasn't near the fitting rooms, no one was, so I walked into one by myself. She then comes running around the corner, snatches one of my dresses I said that I was going to buy but not try on, and she takes it away from me!! I tried on two other things and guess what? PAID FOR THEM. Esther is judgmental, rude, thinks you're a thief even if you're very well off like myself. I will absolutely be calling the corporate office about this behavior, as I've spoken to the managers at this location. One of them was apologetic, the other didn't care. People like Esther should be nowhere near a customer service job. read more

I have a love hate relationship with this TJ Maxx and Home Goods. While I love the good deals and finds here, I hate that this store is always so crowded and stuff is scattered everywhere. You really have to double check sizes and look at the entire rack because the sizes seem to me mixed up on the racks. I really have to find my zen and patience to come to this store, but am always thrilled to find a deal. read more

We drove into town from Oklahoma. When we entered there was an employee who seemed very rude (her name was Luna). Later she was not only rude to us as customers but was OBVIOUSLY rude to all the employees. Honestly such a shame that TJ Maxx allows someone to be so rude to other employees and customers. I'm a serious Maxxinista. Every city I'm in I always manage to find a TJ Maxx. Although this store wasn't a disappointment; I wouldn't say I was blown away either. This location was a TJ Maxx/ Home Goods store, which is a little different than Houston. Usually the Home Goods stores are connected to Marshalls (same company though) The location was on Central Expressway and Stacey. There's a premium outlet on one side of the highway and a shopping center on the other side where TJ Maxx is. I went on a Saturday afternoon. The traffic to get into the shopping center was very heavy. So if you're in a hurry this would not be your go to place. At least on Saturdays anyway. Okay so there are two entrances, one the Home Goods side and one on the TJ Maxx side. I didn't need anything for the house but I do like to look. There was some good stuff here, but the aisles were very tight and hard to maneuver around. The TJ Maxx side was fine, but for a store that size I just thought it would have been a better selection of things. But like I said not a huge disappointment. The line was very long, but it moved pretty fast. And I kind of like looking at the items on the shelves while standing in line. If I'm in the area I would definitely return. read more

Nothing is ever organized- crap is strewn all over the place... it's so packed with people and their carts trying to get thru the major cluttered aisles- gives me anxiety shopping here. Now for the worst part- THE BATHROOMS! OMG!!! HORRIFIC!!!! The women's bathroom didn't have even ONE clean toilet to use! Every time we go into this store and there's a long line, the jewelry department refuses to check anyone out with less than 5 items. What happened to customer service? They don't even look up from what they're doing and just rudely say no, we can't help you. I used to work for this store at a different location and we NEVER turned a customer away!! Shame on your employees that you hire with no customer service skills, unfriendly, lazy, and just plain rude. Disclaimer: My husband and I are regular T.J. Maxx shoppers. Although, we're regulars, this is definitely one of our favorite locations. It offers more options than your 'every day local' T.J. Maxx. The men's section is comparable to others, but we found the women's apparel to be awesome! There are ample items in various sizes (small to plus size), and the dresses' section is amazing. Taking into consideration my love, nay, OBSESSION, for TJ Maxx/Home Goods, I am sad to give Allen store 1 star, yet happily give Wylie store 5. On prior visits, there have never been any issues. However, I went today to return a few items and it was the WORST experience. The return included apparel and food. In the past week I raided Allen & Wylie TJ Maxx/HG to acquire gifts for relatives/friends for pending international travel and accidentally overbought, so naturally had to take a few things back. For starters, the associate failed to smile or greet me as I approached her register. She evaluated the snack box seals and opened a few jars of condiments, also sealed, to examine UP CLOSE (literally within an inch of her nose) in dramatic level of detail, to (I assume) determine whether they've been opened, all the while not breathing a word to me. At this point, I'm upset, but kept quiet as she continued this ridiculous and eerily quiet examination process. The breaking point...she picked up a skirt with tags attached and (after thorough investigation) proclaimed, "This skirt is not from our store, we cannot take it back". It had TJ Maxx price tag attached with sku # that matches the receipt with the ALLEN STORE ADDRESS printed on it, what did she mean it's not from her store? She continues, "This (apparel) is my department, I know we don't carry this skirt". Thoughts are racing in my mind...Do you honestly recognize EVERY piece of apparel in your dept, Sherlock Holmes? Say you have photographic memory, isn't it possible someone before me bought this from another store and returned it to your location, hence your inability to identify it? TJ Maxx allows for returns from other locations, so even if it's not from your store (in this case, the skirt was), you should still allow me to return it. Especially since I haven't worn/washed the skirt, purchased it a mere 4 days ago, and simply returning it b/c it's the wrong size and style (my mom had picked it out). After her running to her department to look for a similar skirt, and then consulting with another associate, she reluctantly "out of courtesy" allowed the return. But the damage was done, I felt completely insulted and falsely accused. She made me feel as if I'd stolen the skirt or sneakily tried to return a skirt purchased elsewhere. I realize one horrific experience should not undermine facts that YES, Allen store is large and has a great selection of awesome products and YES, their store manager is customer-focused and apologetic towards his employee's attitude, but for me, it's enough to deter me from further visits. read more

They get zero stars. Been shopping here for years and was just treated like garbage over a 12.99 return with a receipt. Costco carries enough items for the home that I can shop there. I was here shopping at the HomeGoods store that is connected to it. There was plenty of stuff at both stores (especially HomeGoods) that I found overpriced and a waste of stock, but there was also some unique product that made shopping interesting. The best part of this location is the checkout process. There is one line, and as soon as a cashier is done with a transaction an announcement is made (along with a visual notification) of the available register. There were also a lot of cashiers.
