I love Gap. This one is near Hash House a Go Go. After lunch, I decided to walk off my meal and head over here. This store is large. Baby Gap is off to the left and is equally as massive. I was greeted by a man wearing floral red pants. I absolutely loved his flair. He let me know that regular items are 40% off and sale items are 50% off the marked price. I saw this nice plaid shirt. It was marked down to $9.99. I wanted it, but it didn't come in my size. Either I'd be barely breathing in a medium, or I'd look lost in an XXL. For kicks, I tried the XXL. The sleeve length was perfect. Yep, I looked like I had shrunk in it. I had to put it back. The deal at the back were great. Sadly, there was nothing that screamed my name. I have neices and nephews who are Gap fanatics so not a Christmas can go by that I don't come in this store at least once! Here are a few things I love about it: 1) It is in a strip center and not a mall. So it is not sheer madness to shop here and it is easy to maintain a safe distance from others during covid times. 2) the staff is not as stressed as they are in their mall stores, so everyone is friendly and helpful. I highly recommend these folks if you are a Gap fan or have someone on your shopping list who is! read more

Terrible store manager. Was gifted a nice shirt with gift receipt. It was a size too large. I went to Plano store location waited in line and explained to salesperson I wanted to exchange for the correct size, they scanned in gift receipt and referred me to Joseph. He asked no questions and just scanned in gift reciept and told me that store changed policies recently and he could not do anything! I asked Joseph (store manager) if would exchange for correct size or be issued store credit...he rattled off "My advice is give it to friend or donate it"... I replied are you choosing not to honor a gift receipt on brand new unworn returns...he nonchalantly repeated give it to friend or donate it... Bad experience, bad managers. Now I know first hand from a customer perspective why the store is named "The Gap"...never again...I will donate it read more

I love this store and the merchandise, but the employees are very unprofessional. I never know what I'm gonna get. Usually the store is empty but the employees take forever to attend to customers. Then, today I had an issue with a return, where the employee didn't take it back & made a snarky comment instead of explaining their returning policies. read more

I like this freestanding location over in the Preston/Park area shopping center...they have great essential items you can add to your wardrobe. The sales people there are kind and always will help you find whatever you are looking for. Just basic stuff for work, play, casual. Also a pretty good bang for your buck for the quality of tops and pants/jeans! Parking is always easy in this area but it does get crowded in there from time to time. It's no secret that I love Gap clothes. Much to my husband's protests, I'm even a Gap Silver Card member (in plain English, this means I spend too much of his money here to reach this status). But not all Gap stores are created equal. This one, however, rises above the rest. Parking is easy. The store is gigantic. The associates are always friendly. And the best part? It's a Gap--with Gap Kids, Baby, and Gap Fit under one roof. I don't generally shop Gap since they're not in my budget tier, but I do admit a fondness for their jeans and their comfy casual wear. Whatever Gap labels I have in my closet are from their outlet store and they always work in my rotation of daily wear. I visited this store because they had short and petite length black jeans in stock. With the occasional weekend sale, I was able to take home a pair immediately, along with some super-soft cotton sweaters. I haven't stumbled into a Gap in the longest, I sure regret it after finding this gem. Holy sale rack! This place was a goldmine. Basic long sleeve tees for $2.99 marked down from 24, chinos for $5.99 marked down from $59, and by the time I was done raiding the men's section I walked away with two dress belts for $2.98 a piece and a pair of jeans for $3.98!!!! Seriously? Where have I been!? The store was clean and organized and plenty of salespeople were available to help you, but at the same time leave you alone and do your thing. Now is a great time to stop in before the back to school rush starts. read more

The store is large, they have plenty of stock if you can't find what you want online but the service could be better. It's kinda iffy sometimes. The lines at the check stand are usually long because they never seem to have enough people behind the registers even though there are plenty roaming around the store. I'd go back but I usually shop online and go to the stores only if I'm desperate for a particular item. read more

This is one of my favorite Gaps. I'm one of those rare individuals who still shops at the Gap consistently. This one always has the most current merchandise and best sales staff. Yesterday I used the "reserve in store" feature on Gap's website for the first time and my item was reserved at this Gap within minutes. When I got there, the staff was super helpful even though the store was pretty packed. Great sales section as well. I'd go out of my way to shop at this Gap in the future. read more

This one is close to home and a free standing store so I stop by pretty often. Always find couple of bargains. This one carries men, women, kids, and children so it's a good place to buy a gift if you have friends with kids or need to go to a baby shower. Rarely ever crowded so it's not as stressful as the malls. read more

This is a great location if you want to stay clear of the mall. Parking is usually plentiful and there are a lot of convenient restaurants nearby as well. One negative thing I have to say is the way they treated a recent Groupon event. It appeared that the sales staff and manager were grilled by corporate not to allow sale items as part of the event (forgot the details). When pressed about what was not allowable they became like stone walls. The wife and I left very frustrated. read more

Angel, the GM is extremely rude and not helpful. The 40% off advertised all over the store doesn't apply to somethings and after waiting 15 minutes in line due to slow employees at the cash register, you find out it's not part of the 40% off because the 5 for $10 is considered a discount already. Worst experience again at the Gap in Plano. I shop at Gap probably 3 times a month for my daughters, husband, and occasionally myself. I moved up to Plano 6 months ago and found the nearest gap off Preston and Park. I'm 8.5 months pregnant with my 3 year old daughter that wanted her new summer pink jelly sandals. I was going to but then online for $9 but she really wanted to wear them today, so instead of purchasing online and waiting a whole week to get them, I decided to embrace the 100 degree heat and take her to the Gap up the street. The store had zero sales like they do online (figures) and they would honor the online price but wanted me to pay full price!?!? Online $9 and store price $25 plus. I've been to the Royal and Preston Gap, Galleria, North Park, Mockingbird, West Village, and they always have proved matched online for me. This store supposedly doesn't and lost my business. I will never shop at the Plano Gap again. I walked out with a sad little 3 year old that just wanted her summer jelly sandals and we wasted an hour or our time. I purchased them online and we now have to have 5-7 business days. Absolutely ridiculous! Horrible customer service! read more

I went to look for a comfy sweatshirt-unfortunately they did not have it in my size but the cashier said she could order it and ship to me free of charge. That sounded great to me!
