Not as great of a selection as the stores in Warren and Troy, but you can find a gem here once in a while.

Beware that if you shop here, the store will always be attempting to pull a fast one on you…read more Products in the wrong place, marked wrong or with fine print that says the sale is only for a certain amount. I'm not old but I think they are trying to pray on the elderly whose faculties may not work as well, so they won't catch the scam. I went here last month and there was a product that was 2 for $8.99 but not 4 for $17.98, according to the first customer service associate. The one next to them said that I would need to buy 6 to get the sale again and they seemed to have a disagreement on that statement. I just returned it, don't have time to figure out which associate is correct. Just today they have a cereal brand for $1.99, marked in the aisle but I paid $3.99. My friend had a semi-emergency and their checkout froze for a good 5 minutes, so I couldn't stop or go back yet. I checked the website, none of the cereal brand is listed for $1.99 Why is it marked differently in the aisle? Went a couple of months ago, got a product only to find out the "buy 1 get 1 free" was good once, not buy 2 get 2 free. Sure, whatever. It's not marked anywhere on the aisle or the website, but because it's marked in their sales flyer that way, I had to just return it without getting the deal. It is a sheisty store and I am sure it's no different than any other meijer. I won't be shopping here again.

Preface: I apologize to the city of Port Huron for any and all anguish I caused to you and yours…read moreand for any ensuing health problems resulting from the shock of seeing a lady with violet hair wandering around your Meijers and your town in general. I hope the hospitals have recovered from the rash of minor heart attacks caused by same. I had no idea the hair would get such a drastic reaction. There, got that off my chest. Now for my review... Sometimes you just gotta find a place with a restroom when you're travelling and it's a bit awkward to go in a restaurant if you're not planning to eat there. So I started using the restrooms in Meijers and other similar stores where I THOUGHT I would be inconspicuous. Of course I couldn't resist looking around some after, as long as I was in here. It gave me a little break from driving and a chance to look for a couple of items I needed. I found some Scotch Guard type spray for my boots, a cosmetic item, and a 12- pack of Diet Vernor's for the road. Then off I went to explore Michigan!

We had been a loyal customer for over 15 years. We put our trust into our bridal set and bands…read morepurchased for our wedding! We followed all of the maintenance recommendations on these items and purchased many other cherished pieces over the years. We began having an issue with my wedding set cracking in a certain spot. We had it in for 3 visits within 6 months for repairs. They tried to convince us that we needed to pay $3,800 to have it remade. It was not adding up to us and our trust in them began to fail. I finally picked my ring up in the condition listed as needing to be redone. I took it to a recommended family Jewelry Store in St. Clair and they were saddened that it was not receiving the care or expertise needed to make my ring perfect again. I am beyond disappointed with my experience with Lawrence jewelers. I feel as if we are a number to them now and they did everything they could to make some money off my cherished wedding pieces purchased and designed by them. I think it is shameful. Happy to share that with the right expertise, Coughlin's Jewelers has restored my ring and it looks more amazing than the day of our wedding!

I am in the Port Huron, MI, area and needed my wedding set repaired. I had lost one emerald stone…read more NOTHING more was needed except to check the prongs. Sam Clawson at the Lawrence Jeweler in Fort Gratiot, MI, worked for over a week trying to convice me that my rings were worthless and my smaller diamonds were nothing but chips, my larger diamond was not the quality I thought I had. He assured me I would be wasting money to repair something of it's quality that was so badly damaged. My ring was from Mosher's Jeweler and had been serviced by them for 30 years. I had appraisal certifications to prove the quality and value of all my rings. At the end of our "relationship", Sam was all set to sell me a new wedding set for over $12,000. When I asked for certain information in writing, the whole attitude changed. This jewelry store is not operated as a quality and trustworthy jewelry store. From the first time inside, we felt we were being hustled but wanted to see if we were correct. After their "scam" went south, we left and went to Coughlin Jewelers in St. Clair. They appraised all my jewelry in accordance with my previous appraisal certifications. Not only did they repair my wedding set, they replaced two of my diamonds with larger stones, replaced the one lost emerald, took the two smaller diamonds that had been replaced and made earring charms for me. All for $2,500. I will never darken the doors of Lawrence Jewelers and would advise EVERYONE, before making a purchase, you will be better served and get better quality by going to Coughlin Jewelers in St. Clair, MI.
