I prefer this location to the Clovis one. I overall enjoy the shopping experience more and like the layout. They recently expanded the beauty section so it is broken up into more properly labeled isles and is way more organized. The check out line moves a lot quicker than the Clovis location as well so checking out isn't so painful. I love their home goods section. If you're a person who enjoys hosting others at your house this is a great place to get your cocktail shakers , different types of glassware and charcuterie boards. They have plenty of cookware and food storage. Currently, they carry a big selection of Stanley and Yeti for a great price! Holiday decor is another area I love to shop and they got it all. Only gripe to the Fresno TJ Max is their men's area is more limited and there aren't really any men's shoes either. read more

I love tj maxx . There is always a bunch of people there though and sometimes waiting at the door before they open . They do have a good selection of rings available and the furniture is cute. For you and your pet! I never go there for things that I need and to me it's always worth what ever I walk out with. read more

My favorite tjmaxx I always find what I need here. Will say this store does have more security compared to other locations. Mostly due to shoplifters. But for the most part just wished they stocked consistently. The workers are nice here. read more

Fall has hit! Checking it out! Lots of good and different stuff. Fall soap dispensers and a pretty Fall wreath picked. It was busy! Safe, clean and practiced. Some workers have masks on. Terrible! Manager is unprofessional and doesn't even make eye contact. Tried to purchase a dress but was told there was an additional piece. I said I didn't realize that but was happy to purchase at full price without whatever the piece was. The checker got the manager and she said they will look for the piece and then in 7 days put it on the clearance rack. Without apology. They searched for said piece while I was there and couldn't find it. She was terrible, rude and not an asset to that store in the least. I walked away not able to buy a dress at full price without even an apology from the manager of the store. Complete nonsense. Unsatisfied regular customer. read more

Beware !! If u forget to make a payment this store will charge you a late fee which is DOUBLE the amt of your payment. Late fee for me was THIRTY EIGHT dollars !!!! My payment is only FORTY. And now the agent is telling me although it takes 24 to 48 hrs to process your payment So is she saying that even if you pay on the due date you are still late because they won't process the payment for 48 hrs !! Last month I paid on the due date and I was charged a late fee anyway ! Because this is Pacific time and they go by East coast time !! Although it is paid on due date you still get a late fee. Do be sure you pay 3 days before your due date !! I will pay this account off to avoid any late fees that are absurd.!! And should not even be legal. The middle sister, two nieces and I came to TJ Maxx in December 2020 as we needed to pick out our White Elephant gifts for our family's tradition of fun festives. This was our first time going to this store and this location. I didn't know what to expect as we have seen long lines some times outside especially at the Clovis locations. So we definitely wanted to try it out for sure! When we entered there is staff by the door counting how many people can enter due to the pandemic. All staff was wearing masks and of course customers too! The nieces were seriously good especially going through the toy aisles so I let them pick out any game or you which they picked out a Spongebob trouble game which was a lot of fun! The staff was very friendly and the store was organized. They had some pretty cool things here and I am so loving all their seasonal items. It took a lot for me not to buy things i didn't need but I did it with flying colors! The items here are very not very expensive. I am looking forward to coming back around Valentine's Day for decorations. Overall, it was a pleasant experience with my middle sister and two nieces. read more

I actually prefer this location compared to Clovis. But bummed it's on the other side of town from where I stay so I hardly come unless I'm on this side of town. Made a quick stop to grab one item but of course came out with more than what I needed. This location is so organized I just love it, makes shopping easier. There's so many items you can find here that are similar if not the same brand at other store for a much cheaper price. Highly recommend. read more

Outside parking is clean with lots of parking. Store inside is also clean and organized. The staff were helpful and friendly. I had no problem finding what I needed. Don't let the outside discourage you, the building looks basic but inside is full of treasures. read more

Found the cutest casual top when I stopped in yesterday! It was marked down to $12 and had great detailing on the shoulders. I didn't recognize the label...Jane and Delaney, but I'm definitely not a fashionista! I also found some really cute flip-flops for $12.99, they were made by Rocket Dog and are super comfy. Besides clothing, shoes and purses, they also had home decor, kitchen items and linens. I'll have to stop in from time to time just to check out what's new. The store wasn't busy when I was there and I was able to walk right up to the checkout counter. Friendly cashier. read more

Perfect Second location of T.J. Maxx in Fresno for Mamanistas and Fashonistas; and I must say this place is pretty decent- quite contrary to my initial belief that this was the ghetto T.J. Maxx in Fresno, it maybe located in the older and ghetto part of Fresno, therefore maybe location wise it doesn't seem as impressive and hence my initial assessment of it being ghetto, but as a store, I think both places are comparably the same in terms of quality, organization and fashion offerings. This T.J. Max location is clean, has plenty of parking and offers a wide range of off price branded items just like its other location in Clovis. This location might appeal more for those in the west Fresno area. I for one think, it better to come here than factory outlet stores, because I don't have to travel far and plus the bargains are great here most of the time. T.J. Maxx is an off-price retail chain under the the TJX company so you might notice the similarity between Tj Maxx and its sister stores Marshall and Home Goods, T.J. Maxx differentiates itself from Marshalls by having a more upscale appearance and typically features an expanded assortment of both fine jewelry and accessories. But what is awesome about TJ Maxx is, you can find clothing, but also home furniture and decors here too, just like at home goods- maybe not as much, but pretty decent offerings. This T.J Maxx has a variety of brand it carries, and its not always the same, you might find kate spade, Marc Jacobs at the handbag area, and much more. But also find really high quality sports goods, kitchen goods, perfume, makeup, hair care, facial products, designer clothing, designer home interior and decorations, and also kids designer goods for 50%-70% off normal price. Not everything is a good deal, you will need to hunt for them, and that's the fun thing about T.J Maxx. But here are my tips when shopping at TJ Maxx here or anywhere. When it comes to finding the best deal at TJ Maxx there are some important nuisances to consider: Shop on Wednesdays - Historically, TJ Maxx marks down merchandise on Wednesdays. While this can vary some from store to store, your best bet for finding new mark downs is on Wednesday mornings right when the store opens. Also, most TJ Maxx locations get new arrivals 3-5 days a week so the selection is constantly changing. The Scoop on "Irregular" Items - Over 95% of the items at TJ Maxx are first quality while the other 5% are "Irregular". This doesn't mean they have a hole in them or a Monica Lewinsky stain, but rather an error in the manufacturing process. Things like the wrong color dye or wrong material. In other words, they are irregularities that the average customer is not even going to notice. TJ Maxx Vs. Macy's - Don't be shocked to see the same merchandise in TJ Maxx as your local Macy's or Nordstrom on the same exact day. The price will be much less at TJ Maxx of course. The reason? Let's say that a clothing manufacturer has enough denim to make 65,000 pairs of jeans but Macy's only buys 50,000, then off-price retailers like TJ Maxx will come in and buy the extra 15,000 pairs for a steep discount and pass the savings along to you. Sales at TJ Maxx?- The only time when you will find any sales at TJ Maxx is at the end of the current season when they try and clear out old merchandise. This makes it a great time to stock up for the following year. Snatch clearance deals quickly as they won't last forever as TJ Maxx will eventually donate unsold clearance items to local charities. Holiday Shopping Strategy - Unlike many big department stores, TJ Maxx receives new items for Christmas shopping right up until Christmas eve. Why? Their buyers are buying merchandise all year long and not on a seasonal basis. Very pricey. I found a hat I really liked--$99. Who pays $99 for a simple felt hat? Not I. I also found a trench coat, more reasonably priced, but missized. I'm sure that is why it was marked down to $60. I decided beige would not work well in San Francisco so put it back on the rack. I did buy a 3 drawer chest, sort of pricey, but what I was looking for. Those who know me, know that I don't do thrift shopping very well. So, I have this 3 drawer chest perched on my shopping cart and I try to maneuver the non-mechanical doors. No one offers any help. I finally get through the two sets of doors and get the thing to my car. Cheap shopping comes with its own price--inconvenience. read more

3 different employees following me and my husband through the store as if we were going to steal the cart. Ive spent 400$ in that one day for Christmas gifts i should have never been treated that way especially when I'm a regular customer there. They have ruined my husband's experience shopping with me and i will never shop here and support there business any longer. I love TJ Max for all their home decor items! Everything in there is so cute and it's affordable! The clothes are cute too and there are always items on sale on top of a great price. I do wish they carry more big size mirrors like the long ones for outfits and such. Great place to save a couple bucks but also come out with some really great items! read more

Recently went to this TJ Maxx around 8pm, the parking lot was pitch black. Not a safe environment for customers.

I came here because my Saturday is going to be uber busy with a birthday party, a baby shower and an event. There were many cute baby items for great prices, but I had to talk myself out of buying them because I didn't need them. I did find Calvin Klein undergarments and an Adidas baseball cap. The prices are comparable to Burlington and they have the exact same items. I forget if they are the same company. They had an okay baby section. Nothing special. I went to Burlington and love the baby section. I was not able to find what I was looking for at T.J. Maxx, but I do know that they have a great handbags, home and essential oils section. I like T.J. Maxx and would go back if I specifically wanted candles, home items or candles and essential oils. read more

As with all off-price retailers, this is a great place to find things when you really aren't looking for anything in particular. Meaning, don't go there looking for a lavendar blouse to match the floral print skirt hanging in your closet. Go to TJ Maxx to see what you find. I always hit their clearance racks first and have been able to find name-brand merchandise deeply discounted. One of my treasures, an Orrefors crystal vase for $29; I saw the same vase at Macy's for $90. Now don't go looking for it, because it won't be there . . . go there, and see what you find. read more

I just recently started shopping here and I've found so many great things! Tops, shorts, leggings, dresses! It's amazing they have really cute stuff!!! New fave store! Also I love their baby toys and clothes for my little one. Super nice ppl working the register and dressing rooms...plus you can take in lots of clothes! Such a hassle to have to come in and out if you're limited to 8 items like Ross or other places. I was there when they were closing and a worker said hi how are you? With a huge smile with no intention of rushing me out and then sparked a convo with another regular shopper about some new items they had. So sweet! I'm prob not supposed to say this but they even let me return something over the 30 day mark on the receipt. I didn't even realize so that was great!! Love it! read more

Why does this store always smell like crap? I've been there about 4 times now and every time that door opens I get smacked in the face with a wall of funk. This tj maxx is awesome. All though this store isn't the best looking tj maxx, i find more great finds at this one than others. They have a great mens and home department which is why I come here. Warning though- in the men's bathroom the door doesn't close or lock and it's a single stall, so someone can just barge in while you're going. read more

My sister and I really like this place. We had never been until a couple months ago and we were pleasantly surprised. The Saturday can be a bit cluttered and overwhelming to look through so I would say it's best to go when you have some time to dedicate but we always get good finds. I love their kids book section and we love the kitchenware. I think we go more for those things than we do for the clothes. They have a good selection of lotions and body care. read more

Walked into Tjmaxx in Fresno California West and Shaw at around 4:30pm when an associate named Molly started following my mom sister and I and started to profile us because we are native Americans. as we looked at the makeup section she stared to hover close to us then she walked away slightly she was not aware that I was walking behind her when she walked to another associate and tapped her on the shoulder and told her to swallow us and watches as we're in the makeup section I confronted the associate who was an older Caucasian lady and ask why did you tell that associate to follow us she was stunned that I saw what she had did and I asked to see a manager and I told him the situation of being profiled because I'm Hispanic and native American. I don't know if any actions are going to be taken with this particular associate she does not need to be working in the store she is rude and racist. read more

I love TJ Maxx, they always have a great selection and the cashier named Pam and Veronica were very helpful for me, they each helped me find the items that I was looking for and I opened up an account with them as well even though I have plenty of credit cards I was amazed by the Pam carried her self and engaged me and was so friendly and explained exactly what the rewards card was and how it can benefit me today and in the future as I continue to shop at Marshalls and home goods as well as TJ Maxx.
